Man, what a treat!! Such profoundly great flavors! The first three tacos I had were so good, I had to order the other three options on the menu!! Absolutely a must visit joint in Homer!

A yummy spot on The Spit. Many more beer options than I was expecting. The halibut tacos were great. Lots of picnic tables to sit at. Friendly service!

Have you seen the clip where there is a guy in a fast food restaurant and he's the only one who doesn't get his food? Yeah, we felt like that guy. Everyone else around us was getting their tacos, and we were last, despite arriving not last. However, the tacos and elote were delicious and the halibut and rockfish were fresh and tender!! If you're in Homer, AK, and you're looking for a snack, Swell Tacos is perfect.

Bomb.com fish tacos. I usually never order halibut or salmon while out - but omg so freaking good! We got the CHEEKY HALIBUT TACOS one with and one without lime crema && the Halibut was cooked to perfection && tasted so fresh it just melted into your mouth. The corn tortilla, which I'm assuming was home made, was sooooo flavorful && delish! I wanted more of just the tortilla!!!! Topped with some pretty flavorful micro greens! Quick and easy!

    Carnita quesadillas

Excellent tacos, quesadillas, beer and staff. Quick service and their tacos are an incredible combo of flavor of sauces, diverse meat options, and their homemade tortillas are to die for. I love that they have Grace Ridge Brewery options on tap. I feel like not many places offer their beer in Homer, even for being a Homer brewery. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Way to go Swell Taco, keep it up!

This place opened in May of 2022 and filled a need for a Mexi-Cali taco joint in Homer. It's one of the walk up shops along the spit so you can eat at the picnic tables, or take your food to go back to your lodging or have a picnic on the beach. Since Homer is back to being insanely busy on the weekends in summer it's nice to have food options that don't require reservations. It was a Friday & I couldn't get into the 5 sit down places I called, and while I should know better I didn't know if we were staying in town that day lol. Swell came to our rescue with some yummy tacos. We ordered the rockfish, halibut cheek, carne asada tacos, and the ceviche. All the tacos were delicious with the favorite being the rockfish taco. The corn tortillas are made in house & didn't fall apart even though the tacos were loaded up with toppings. They had a great hot sauce selection including many flavors of the local barnacle kelp hot sauce. It would be nice to see an in house salsa or hot sauce that can be added onto the tacos. The tacos were delicious my favorite being the rockfish & halibut cheek. The carne asada was good, but not as flavorful as the fish taco options. The ceviche was loaded with fresh caught fish, but the flavors were pretty bland. Definitely could've used some more salt. Service was quick & friendly. The food didn't take long to be made even though there were plenty of customers. I hope they could serve some beer here in the future as it would go great with the tacos! Definitely give this taco stand a try!

Rockfish taco, carnita taco, and peep guac and chips!

Tried the rockfish taco, guac and chips, and carnita taco. Guac was amazing-great flavor-far exceeded my expectations as someone from the land of Tex-Mex. Sauce, pico, and the pineapple/habanero added much flavor to the tacos. Friendly service in a quaint atmosphere on the spit.

So good! Went more than once. If you need to get something substantial in your belly get the birria. I also had 2 types of fish tacos. The fish was cooked perfectly with heaping greasy toppings. Great hot sauce selection too. Reasonably priced, super friendly. Oh and get a coconut lime drink.

The Rockfish and halibut taco was amazing. Ceviche was a bit fishy for my taste, but it was my first time eating 3 types of fish in ceviche. The chips were seasoned and generously given. The coconut lemonade reminded me of Vietnamese soda lemonade and I was obsessed. Also locals always brings their dogs around so the atmosphere is always so nice! Dogs and beer and tacos

Service friendly, ambiance is nice, food was delicious. Way to go Swell Taco! Please keep up the good work. Try the beer battered avocado taco with pickled onions, YUM!

The best fish tacos I've had in Alaska! Enjoy rockfish taco, halibut taco, corn, and ceviche. Food hot and fresh! If they're busy, worth the wait!

Tasty tacos. I believe they were priced at 7 to 9 bucks a taco. Not cheap, but everything is on the high side on the spit.

This place was so packed tonight, because it's the height of the tourist season (we couldn't get parked for a good 10 minutes) and so the place was HEAVING and packed to the rafters. Even so, we were seated immediately, and the fancy water carafe brought to us. Obviously I think most of the people in here are tourists. Most don't look Alaskan, if you know what I mean. I order the sublime Parm Fry Stack, that I've been dreaming about for 7 months, and he got, oh who cares what he got, I don't remember. He should write his own reviews. Despite the jam-packed dining room, it was not overly noisy, and you could hear your conversation. I had an unfortunate experience at a cafe recently, where I encountered one of those people who love the sound of their own voice, instead of chowing down on some good food. Fortunately there were none of those type in here, and so I got to appreciate my Parm Fry Stack in peace. Our server seemed surprised that I only wanted the Parm Fry Stack, and not a proper entree, and we wouldn't be sharing them between us, along with our main meal. No! Potatoes can be a main too. Well. You know the last time I had them, I was impressed. It was a sizable portion. This time, it was an absolutely enormous portion. A DAUNTING portion. Even I was dubious that I could manage it. But they were as epically delicious as the first time with no difference in flavour at all, which I am supremely grateful for. I don't give out awards such as Number 1 fry in Alaska lightly, but this humongous beast has earned its place, and retained it with consistent quality. Absolutely beautiful!

The Bulgagi was unique and put a Korean spin on a taco but was a little heavy on the sauce. The fish taco was out of this world good. The best fish taco I've ever eaten. We got some noodles just to try another dish but they weren't that impressive-- why get noodles when you can have le burg or fish taco?? We were just visiting but my family lives in Homer and visits Le burg regularly. They said hours can be difficult and they're not always open. There are also only two picnic tables between Le truck and a BBQ truck that they seem to share so not a lot of seating but it's a food truck-- what do you expect. If you're in homer and looking for a lunch spot make sure to check out Le truck. Update: two years later we spent three days trying to go back but they were never open! Finally they opened for lunch at 1:40 right before the farmer's market opened on Wednesday. It seems like they are only open when farmer's market is open. That's very frustrating. Food was still good but losing points/stars for bad hours and never being open!!
