He showed up 20 minutes later and it was the oddest thing, he parked in my driveway. When he came up to the door he asked if it was okay and I said okay, but honestly, I found it really strange and just didn't want to prolong the appointment. Upon inspection, he seemed very knowledgeable and personable and did a pretty thorough inspection taking pictures and videos of the roof and surrounding areas. As mentioned, I am the type to obtain multiple quotes, so I expected that after he did the inspection, we would go over his findings and a few days later I would receive a quote. After he did the inspection, he showed me a video of something the other roofers didn't, which was nice as I like a thorough job, but then said he would be in touch with a quote. I received a phone call a few days later asking to discuss findings, but when I called back, I got an AI bot which was then followed up by a call back from a real person. Oddly enough, when they called, they literally said nothing. They asked if it was a good time to talk and I said yes but they wanted to talk when "my husband was around." Even though I said it was a good time, they said they would call back. I followed up via Yelp message. It has been over a week and I have yet to receive any quote from them. I was only charged $400 for this and so far so good the tenant said he hasn't heard any rain. Andy was excellent and letting me know to contact him if there was still leaking after the repair and they would go back and re-evaluate. Andy of Golem never told me whether the roof needed to be replaced. It has been 20 years so I reached out and he gave me all the details and said they didn't want to be pushy because a lot of homeowners wanted to get a few more years out of their roof. I appreciate his honesty and also I loved that they were not pushing us to get a new roof even though we needed one.
