The service was solid, she was helpful in telling me the prices and flavors they had at the time. I got 6 slices for 20$ and of those 6 slices I got: 2x cookies n cream, 2x raspberry swirl, 1x mango, and 1x Black Forest cake. As a big fan of anything cookies n cream I was excited to try the cheesecake version of it and It was very underwhelming and disappointing. The raspberry swirl was pretty good and might just be my favorite, it seems that the best thing to go with a cheesecake is fruit because it's always good together. The Black Forest cake was surprisingly better than expected and you can taste the fruit that's in it too which makes it even better. The mango slice was unique and different but still decent. If I was ranking the flavors I'd say first the raspberry swirl, second the Black Forest cake, third the mango, and lastly the cookies n cream. Btw I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake, I think it's a decent dessert but it's nowhere near my favorite desserts so if you like cheesecake i can see you enjoying this place a lot. I would be open to coming back to try their apple Crumb cheesecake, carrot cake, and their blueberry cheesecake.

current festive decor within shop..fyi: it moves (lol)

Great cheesecake selection and awesome customer service!! I have purchased from this shop a few times as gifts for others, and Ive been pleasantly surprised by the array of flavors available by the slice...typically, Ive seen cookies n' cream, chocolate chip kahlua, strawberry shortcake (seasonal), blueberry swirl, blueberry lemon, pumpkin (seasonal), plain, and turtle. They also offer additional flavors by the whole cake (12 slices). You can also purchase mixed whole cakes, and half cakes (6 slices) Overall, the cheesecakes are delicious, and they also offer a few vegan options (based on my understanding), and some flavors have the traditional graham cracker crust or a chocolate crust. The customer service has always patient and friendly..which I truly appreciate when making my selections. My favorite flavor has been the pumpkin. And overall, their cheesecakes have a great smooth, creamy texture, and most of them are not overly sweet, which allows the true taste of the flavor to come through. Highly recommend!!

Love Sweetz Cheesecake! Our favorite is the mango cheesecake. They have gluten-free and nut-free options as well. You can call or order online. Light and airy and not too sweet - definitely not your usual dense and heavy cheesecake ala Cheesecake Factory. So worth the $32 for a whole cake or you can be adventurous and order different flavors for $4.50 a slice. Would definitely recommend!

    Variety half pie

I ordered a variety half pie and have to keep myself from eating every slice . Their cheesecakes are so creamy and not overly sweet, which makes them even more enjoyable.

Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake loaded with fresh strawberries and box of Chocolate Chip Kahlua Cheesecake. SOO GOOOOOD!

Hands-down the best gourmet cheesecake tucked in an unassuming strip mall in Gaithersburg - worth the trip from DC and Northern VA. The decadent Chocolate Chip Kahlua Cheesecake is divine loaded with rich chocolate chips and a thick chocolate crust topped with a pinch of buttercream frosting and a subtle flavor of Kahlua. The Chocolate Chip Kahlua Cheesecake was a hit at my hubby's birthday party, everyone devoured a slice! The fresh Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake loaded with fresh strawberries is also among my favorites with a nice graham cracker crust. At $4/slice, a box of 12 slices for $28 is well worth it. You can't really go wrong here with any of the cheesecakes. They are all sooo gooood! If you don't see a cheesecake in the display case, be sure to ask for it. It might be in the back freezer. I miss those Chocolate Dippers and Mini Cheesecakes from the early food truck days, please bring them back to the bakery! The service is just as sweet as the cheesecake as one of the male staffers gave me a slice of the Strawberry Shortcake on the house noticing low blood sugar level as I traveled over an hour from DC for the cheesecake and was traveling back to McLean. Totally worth the trek!

One of the best cheesecakes I've ever had! I first had Sweetz Cheesecake a few years ago at the Truckeroo event in DC and I will never forget that special cheesecake on a stick. The home store is located in Gaithersburg right next to Thai House. The cheesecakes are available by the slice or whole. They have an awesome deal, buy 4 slices and you get 2 for free! I went in there on a whim not intentionally buying more than a slice but walked out with more. I ordered two Classic Plain, Oreo, Amaretto, Chocolate Chocolate, and White Chocolate Raspberry cheesecakes. My favorite was the Amaretto cheesecake, the nutty almond taste really came through in every bite. It was very creamy, fresh, and not entirely sweet. *Vegan and Gluten-free options are available* You must try this place! It won't disappoint.

    Strawberry Cheesecake - Special Order!
    Jeff T.

It's a celebration to plan for. Strawberry Cheesecake is a favorite. I checked Yelp for the reviews - low and behold. Craig (the owner) took my "special order" - It had to be cut in twenty pieces with two pieces contained separately for her to take home. Oh yeah, strawberry slices are to adorn each piece. While this was not normal I do often venture off menu from time to time. Spectacular job wouldn't you say? Yumm

Carrot Cake from Sweetz Cheesecake Bakery inTheir Carrot Cake is the best on the planet! Shreds of carrots, nuts, smell & taste of nutmeg, and slathered with cream cheese; so good it drops me to my knees! :-)

I've driven by this shop so many times I've lost count. Decided today was the day to stop in and checkout the offerings. I'm so glad I did! I picked up a slice of their turtle cheesecake and wow it was delicious! Friendly staff, nice clean shop.

Just amazing product! Ordered the original and it is the favorite in our home. Just velvet melt in your mouth texture of cheesecake. Best place around for cheesecake...everyone stop buying normal cheesecakes....try this place instead!!!

I'm not a huge fan of cheesecakes because they are usually too dense/heavy/rich for my liking, but the cheesecake here is really soft and smooth. Some people may not like this because this "cake" tends to lose its form and look more like a blob of pudding. I've had the Chocolate Raspberry, Irish Cream, and Turtle and they have all been really good. Most of the time, the cheesecake seems freshly made, but one time, the slice I got was half frozen...

1/2 Key Lime & 1/2 Cookies and Cream

Needed a birthday dessert and the request was cheesecake. Automatically, one would think The Cheesecake Factory but I wanted to support small local businesses so I did my research. Stumbled upon Sweetz, called to place an order and the gentleman I spoke with over the phone was very kind and helpful. Ordered the cake and picked it up the next day. The cheesecake wasn't overly sweet and had a nice consistency. Will definitely return.

    Key Lime Cheesecake

Sweetz Cheesecake has a retail shop (that offers cheesecakes by the whole and by-the-slice), wholesale offerings, as well as fundraising opportunities. They even have a 'cheesecake truck,' which I thought was pretty cool! Flavors include the Classic Plain, Raspberry Swirl, Amaretto, Black Forest, Chocolate Chip Kahlua, Cherry Swirl, Chocolate, Chocolate Raspberry, Caramel Pecan, Irish Cream, Key Lime, Mango Crunch, Orange Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Cup, Tiramisu, Turtle, Cookies n' Cream, Apple Crumb, White Chocolate Raspberry, Marble Fudge, Italian Frangelico, Cappuccino, Blueberry Swirl, Pumpkin, Strawberry Shortcake, and Blueberry Lemon. They also offer cakes, such as the Carrot Cake, Chocolate! Chocolate!, and Chocolate Layer. The place itself is more of a take-out place, but they do have some counter seating (about 4 stools) available (however, the area had stacks of cardboard/moving boxes). The bakery case had only a limited selection, but I ended up getting a slice of the Blueberry Swirl (blueberry puree swirled into the classic cheesecake on a graham crust) and a slice of Key Lime (key lime with classic vanilla on a graham crust). I initially wanted a slice of their Cherry Swirl - however, it was a little weird and disappointing that while this flavor was readily available (the pie was already sectioned with parchment paper in slices), it was strictly unavailable to be purchased by-the-slice as it was not 'sitting on the top shelf' (there wasn't a note or a sign that stated this policy). When discussing this further with the employee, he stated that once any of the cakes run out on that top shelf in the bakery case, any of the cakes on the bottom then takes its place. It didn't seem as if that was going to happen anytime soon, as most of the cheesecake slices on that top shelf were not budging! What was even more confusing was that even though the Blueberry Swirl was not in the bakery case, it was still available from the kitchen's refrigerator in the back... The employee further states that the top shelf's flavors changes often, and then the Cherry Swirl makes its appearance frequently; but, it changes on a daily basis, so it was stated that customers should call the store everyday to find out which ones are available. So much work for a cheesecake HA! Either way, I was still super excited about trying the pieces, but unfortunately, both were just not tasty at all - the Blueberry Swirl had the blueberry puree within, but it didn't seem to have been folded in well, as most of the puree were on the surface. The cheesecake itself was not really a cheesecake, but it was more of a 'mousse' style - runny and no creaminess that you expect. Same went for the Key Lime - the texture was consistent of being mousse-like, and there was not much 'key lime' flavor to it, but just a subtle hint of lime. The graham crust was super dry, and didn't stick to being a base crust for the slices. I just wished we had the similar delicious experiences that others have had... Neither of us wanted to take any more bites so both ended up being tossed. I'm glad that I was able to try out Sweetz Cheesecake, but don't think we'd go back! +runny, mousse-like cheesecake T____T +dry graham crust T____T +strange rotation policy with cheesecakes offered by-the-slice T____T

My husband asked the employee if this was a vanilla sponge cake and they said yes since he cannot eat chocolate cake. Unfortunately once we cut it, it was chocolate. It was a waste of $50+ and would not recommend unless you're just purchasing for pictures and not to eat. The mango and strawberry croissants were good with sweet whipped cream. I liked how the cream also tasted like mango in the mango croissant. The sweet pretzel was also good and crunchy. The inside of the store is nice with plenty of tables.
