Free samples caught my attention and striking up friendly conversation with the owner Karla MacLeod really showed you can deliver wonderful customer service without being pushy. Loved it! They have a huge line up of spices, anything for a simple to gourmet chef and fun country items. I was ECSTATIC to see she sells Nevada Brining Company pickles - handcrafted in the Silver State - Wahoo!! I just watched a story on channel 2 news about this start-up pickling genius and it was on my list to check out. Fell into my lap visiting this boutique. I bought the Boozy Pickle with Whiskey and Fresno Peppers and the fast selling Ruby Red Onions Sweet & Sour. Prices are reasonable and lower than what other outlets charge for this popular pickling company. I can't wait to try the cauliflower when she gets it from the manufacturer. I appreciate the attention to detail wrapping each jar in purple gift wrap paper and placing into a crafty gift bag. I'm coming here for a last minute gift ideas! Really convenient they take plastic considering how small this establishment is. What's cash? Next time, I'm going for the red spicy salt for Bloody Marys!

We ordered the featured menu for Food and Restaurant Week and every course delightfull. First a luscious Brie with a berry compote and crispy bread. Second a super fresh greens salad and a Cubano sandwich panini style as it should be. Referenc that as at another location recently it was simply a cold sandwich on incorrect bread. But not here, it was very respectful representation! Next we had a berry topped Cream brûlée , simply delicious ! The size of The Wayfarer does not lend itself to a primarily eat in establishment , more a to go or catering station. Bright, cheerful and meticulously clean! A very special treat was seeing one of the many charcuterie platters they specialize in~ and were so impressed ordered one for an upcoming Happy Hour Birthday Celebration. . We know we will be back and encourage you to give it a try!!!

Matt and Stacy definitely know what they're doing, and they're kicking ass at it. Onto the goods.... O m g there's plenty of them. Whether you're a typical dill fan, bread and butter, or like a little spice, they've got it all! Not to mention other vegetables in addition to cucumbers. The pickles are also already sliced giving some easy options. I went with two jars of valley or the fire pickles, which are bread and butter and then brined with some hot sauce. I also got curry brined cauliflower and ginger brined carrot sticks. Yum! None disappointed In addition, they also have rubs! Prices are very reasonable considering these are locally produced. Put down that vlassic and drive down to the pickle palace and get something that your tastebuds will thank you for!

Alec Crosby was recommended to me by my favorite butcher, George, when I reached out interested in…read morebuying a share of beef in February. Alec raises his cattle in Fernley so super local, the cows are happy cows not trucked to feedlots at the end of their life cycle. They have good lives, these are the things that I appreciate as a meat eater. And yes I do know all beef is finished on grain, but there's a difference in mixing grass and grain in fields etc. I ordered through his website, super easy. I got a 1/4 of beef, after trimming and cutting, I ended up with around 110 lbs of beef. The percentages of certain types of meat described on his website, ended up being spot on for me. Yes, I wrote down every package, weighed them and created a spreadsheet haha. The packages came wrapped in saran wrap then butcher paper with a stamp of the type of cut. I like knowing what the weight is so a print out sticker with that would be preferred personally in the future, but I just wrote the weight on each package. I kept in touch with Alec and he was very adamant about quality and my happiness He said if it wasn't anything less than amazing, he'd get me a new one. I have the messages for proof, but to be honest, even if I wasn't 100% happy, I could never do that to a small business over possibly small qualms. He cheered me on when I sent him some pics of my first meals with the meat I got from him. He is a young guy, expanding his long run, multi generational family business. On Facebook he showed that he was opening up a store front and I couldn't be more excited for him and for Reno. This is a dream basically, to have local sources of meat, in affordable prices. And I appreciate his ability to take a chance and try to bring back some of the good things from older genertions like neighborhood butcher shops. I suggest giving him a try when you need a butcher or want a beef share for the family if you have the room. It ends up being incredibly worth it cost wise in the long run even though it can be intimidating for an upfront cost. In the end, we have been going through our beef pretty slow, I still have around 50% of it left, and haven't bought beef at a store since February. I've eaten some new meals, cooked cuts in new ways and learned to like hamburger again (because this stuff is tasty and not close to store bought). I haven't had any bad cuts, and I feel so good eating this beef, supporting local business and new generations.

She reverified the day before delivery to confirm all was still good and delivered on time. I was so impressed with how professional, friendly and dialed in the entire team was. Great communication!!! I can't say enough good things about this company and I will continue to use them and let others know about how great they are. Going to try the Korean Ribs tonight.

Well, ice cream made to order, just the way you like it is even better! We had the pleasure of having Nice Cream out to our neighborhood block party and they rocked it all night long! After years of corporate chef life, Terry, co-owner and ice cream mix master, and his wife, co-owner, stepped out on their own and created Nice Cream to bring the joys of liquid nitrogen ice cream to our community. It doesn't hur that they're just as sweet as the treats they serve, and they really know how to handle their customers so well, making everyone feel welcome and involved, right down to the youngest! I got to try the S'mores creation that has chocolate ice cream, marshmallows, and of course, graham crackers! The marshmallows don't freeze in the process, which is super cool! I enjoyed it a lot. I would say if you're doing a waffle cone though, go for a double scoop! They came out on an a la carte basis for us, but for a party they offer a fixed rate to serve guests for a set amount of time, and it's super affordable!
