I found Sweetherapy through yelp. I was in search for a home made baker. We met up quite a bit before my cake date to try her cupcakes. They were very delicious!! She is a very sweet woman and I enjoyed talking to her. She was very efficient and asked a lot of questions to get all the details. She advised me that I had up until the Wednesday before to finalize the cake as that is when she makes the cakes. I originally placed the order for 40 people but on the Sunday before I reached out to her to change it to 50 as the image she provided me was for 50 people. We confirmed how the cake was going to be made and the flavors and she agreed with me. I have attached the image of what the cake was supposed to be vs. what I got. Both me and my daughter were extremely upset. The cake did not look like the original image. Jane did reach out to me to tell me that she had an issue but did not tell me on the phone that the cake was not going to look like what we requested. I would have told her to do the cake without the bows. We wanted simple. The flavors were to be strawberry on one layer and oreos mixed in the vanilla cake on the 2nd layer. Jane (the owner) is very accommodating with easy ordering and quick response times. On the website, you can either call or email Jane with questions. I emailed Jane to inquire about ordering cupcakes for my son's third birthday party. I was looking for cupcakes with either a train and/or cars theme. Within 24 hours, Jane had emailed back with several picture ideas from Thomas the Train themes to Pixar Cars themes. In the end, Pixar Cars themed cupcakes and cake pops were decided for my son's third birthday. Our order was placed online seven days in advance and Jane communicated daily via email about next steps - cost, prop ideas, cake flavors, etc. All communication was made through email and Jane ensured the entire process was simple and easy. A 50% deposit is requested prior to cake preparations and your remaining balance is due upon delivery or pick-up of goodies. Jane emailed a Paypal invoice with a breakdown of costs with the option to pay by credit card in full or the deposit only. I paid in full and all items were picked up in a mutually agreed location; I elected for pick-up instead of delivery. I was more than pleased with Jane's professionalism and thoroughness. The design of the cupcakes and cake pops was over the top from the presentation to the packaging. Everything was a hit for my son's third birthday party. So, yes, yum. I'm not a cupcake connoisseur at all, so don't take my word for it and try this place yourself! A large group of us started planning a surprise birthday for none other than Blue, our Broward CM. I opted to handle the cake and decided that cupcakes would be easier and we wouldn't have to worry about cutting the cake, forks etc. I did some "yelping" of course and found this bakery close enough to my house. I went in about 8 or 9 days before the party to get a sense of what they had to offer and ultimately place my order. I found out ahead of time that the birthday boy's favorites were red velvet and coconut and luckily these are two of their "regular" flavors which meant I got to sample in store. The owner asked me if I would prefer red velvet or red velvet crunch and I gave her a look like "hmmm you tell me?". I sampled the red velvet crunch and fell in love. Hello, all cupcakes should come with some secret crunch! Anyways, order was placed, 25 red velvet crunch, 25 coconut (I opted for mini size to hopefully fit in ones mouth in one go), all of course with blue frosting for our theme and I was out the door. I knew Steven C. would be disappointed if I didn't bring him home a little something so I also bought a vanilla guava and chocolate nutella cupcake to go. The vanilla guava was nice and had good hints of guava, but the chocolate nutella was the star!! The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and was willing to accommodate me in any way. My order was ready for pick up exactly when I told her I would be there and she gave me lots of instructions to make sure I didn't smush them or topple them over, one of my deepest fears, but the box itself was pretty sturdy and held each cupcake in it's place.
