The Sweetfin is a convenient chain for quick bites in DTLA. I've tried few of their signature poke bowls, decent quality and affordable prices, about $15~$20 per order. You can also build your own bowls. Classic Tuna - **** miso sesame shoyu, red onion, togarashi, avocado, seaweed salad, bean sprouts, pickled ginger, light and fresh taste, recommend Shiitake Chile Tofu - *** miso sesame shoyu sauce, chile oil, cilantro, rapini, pickled fresno, vegetarian option

Great healthy food concept! But very bad prep & presentation (you can compare pix posted). To begin with, I ordered ahead due to lack of parking in that area. So I was hoping to just do a pick up. The food was not ready when I arrived and it took a little longer than expected to prep it even though the place was empty. The Salmon was not fully baked; just warmed. The server was nice in allowing me to substitute the kale salad for cauliflower rice yet the rice was cold. The salmon was lukewarm & not very tasty. Despite my being hungry, I did not enjoy this bowl. This is unusual for me because when I am hungry, everything tastes good! What is good at this establishment, is their spicy tuna poke bowl. Have had that before & reason why I returned but I definitely do not recommend the salmon bowl.

It was good. The fish didn't taste super fresh but the flavors from the rest of the bowl were good. I got a to-go order and the service was great! The workers were very kind and attentive. I didn't notice until later but they did forgot to add ginger to my bowl . Other then that everything was correct

Honestly I had better poke bowls in other places. Wasn't a big fan of Sweetfin ... not sure if I'll eat here again. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing the poke. They are pretty accurate. The only thing I liked a lot was the rice and maybe the yuzu sauce. The rest was ehhhhh .... The restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe to it, customer service was ok. Small portions ... paid $32 for two bowl that was supposedly the large size, other places that's the small size. Anyway read some of the recent reviews before stopping by.

I just ordered this through Uber eats. Because I work down the street from DTLA. I am totally in love with their Bamboo Rice, first time I had it. I ordered a Large Build Your Own Bowl with Salmon and Albacore and I enjoyed it. But like the other reviews, the large is actually quite small ( Would be a small at other places). The Hibiscus drink was also refreshing. I would order from here again, but order 2 large bowls!

Hi, which sauce doesn't have sugar in it? Thanks!

Hi Lina - the only sauces with sugar in them are our Sriracha Ponzu and Ponzu Lime sauces. The other sauces do not have added sugar.

What's bamboo rice and what's forbidden rice?

Hi Krissy! Bamboo Rice is a short-grain white rice that is milled with bamboo shoots - giving it a green tint and making it rich in chlorophyll and b-vitamins. Forbidden Rice is a black rice, somewhat similar to brown rice in flavor, but rich in… Read more

Lunchtime comes and we're near the ocean. Thought about some fresh poke. Niece knew of a place down in Redondo Beach area so we went. The place is called Jus' Poke. Upon arrival there was a line out the door. The shop is very small. One door in, one door out. Similar to an assembly line. You order, pay and you're done. There are some seats inside bar top style, and a bathroom. The fish selection is great and very fresh, Its a little inconvenient if you're planning on enjoying your meal there. I'd recommend taking it out to a park or the beach! Parking: street VERDICT: One and done

Food: My husband and I both ordered poke bowls with a mix of Hawaiian and spicy poke, along with…read moreshoyu and California roll poke. Everything tasted incredibly fresh right away, with clean flavors and a great balance of umami, savory richness, and just the right amount of spice. Each component complemented the others well, and nothing felt overly heavy or overpowering. It's easy to see why people say this is one of the most authentic poke spots in the area, the simplicity and quality really shine through. That said, personal preference-wise, I still find myself leaning toward Poke Express in Las Vegas (though to be fair, I've never been to Hawaii, so that might change one day). Price: Pricing is pretty standard for quality poke in Southern California. A regular bowl (about 1/3 lb of fish with rice and a side) typically runs around $15-17, while larger bowls can range from about $19-24 depending on portion size. Overall, expect to spend around $15-25 per person, which feels fair given the freshness and portion sizes. Ambiance: This is very much a grab‑and‑go style spot rather than a sit-down restaurant. It's located right along the street and almost always has a long line of people waiting, which tells you a lot about its popularity. Inside, there's a small bar area with a handful of high chairs, and a couple of tables outside, but seating overall is pretty limited. Not really a place to linger, more for a quick, casual bite. Service: Despite how busy it constantly is, service is efficient and straightforward. The staff keeps things moving quickly and stays organized, so even with a line, the wait doesn't feel too bad. No frills, but solid and dependable. Parking: There's a small side parking lot that can fit maybe around 10 cars, which fills up quickly during peak hours. Otherwise, you'll likely have to find street parking nearby and walk over. Not impossible, but it does take a little extra effort, especially when it's busy.

There were a couple of people before us so that gave us time to look at the menu. Our go to is the large 4 fish ($21) which was enough for my husband and I to share. The service was good and fish/toppings plentiful. The employee was patient when we asked for almost all the toppings. Love the lemon cream! The crispy onion is what keeps us coming back--a must!! The ambience is simple but clean. We ate there and could easily have a conversation. They provide iced water in a dispenser. Bathroom was clean. Parking can be tough which is a hindrance for us, but today we found a spot easily. When we left, the parking lot was bustling. We really enjoyed our poke bowl! The fish was fresh. We got salmon x2, scallops, and shrimp. For our sides, seaweed salad and crabmeat. Base was half kale/half brown rice. Almost all the toppings. We got the garlic ponzu with spicy mayo in one corner. Eel sauce was drizzled all over which I didn't prefer, but it tasted good in the end. Our tummies were happy and satisfied!

The the woman putting my bowl together was super stingy on the base. She spread out the salad so it was literally a handful of salad. I go mostly to the studio city location, so I'll probably route myself to that one in the future! The poke is fresh and I like the diversity of toppings you get here.

Earlier this week, I ordered two of my personal favorite items. - Combo Plate w/Double Salmon Spicy Mayo - Beef Rib Plate w/1 scoop of rice and mac salad I highly recommend asking for a couple of samples of poké flavors you're curious about before ordering. I got to try CA Hawaiian and Spicy Garlic Salmon which were also fantastic. And you simply can't go wrong with their Shoyu. I'll have to try getting different flavors in my combo plate vs. doubling up next time. Salmon Spicy Mayo is creamy, with a perfect kick to it that makes this specific poké flavor ADDICTING. Truthfully, it's only spicy if you eat too fast. Beef rib plate was fantastic. The item pictured was only my 2nd time ordering this. Moving forward, it's hard not to order considering a) this has a nice smoky flavor b) the meat is so tender & succulent it falls off the bone with a little shake (portion matches the price point, which I deeply appreciate since other places will skimp out on beef). I think the only things I was bummed about was my scoop of mac salad was tiny and there wasn't much furikake on my rice. Not by any means, a major deal since I ultimately got money's worth in juicy beef ribs. Service was stellar. A polite young woman had 2 other customers in front of me with hefty orders, but I was still taken care of promptly.
