Always tasty with their poke topping options, and pretty fast service. We sat outside and the tables were fairly clean and we were able to help ourselves to water and utensils. I use the inkind app which allows me to get 20-30% off, which is a better value for the meal. The large is a must because their small bowls are pretty small.

Unfortunately, my orders have been incorrect here more often than they have been correct. It's a shame because this is the location closest to my house, now I avoid going there. It is never ready on time and always missing ingredients. Very small lake location with no seating and metered parking all around.

Customizable poke bowls, with fun ingredient options like forbidden rice, bamboo rice, kelp noodle salad, citrus kale, eggplants, chili oil, and mushrooms! I love how the ingredients here are unique from other poke places, while still feeling super healthy and fresh and cohesive. Got a small custom bowl with tofu and salmon and both were fantastic. The miso sauce was on the lighter side and complimented all the toppings well. The crunchy onions (they don't skimp!) added a ton of crunch but not much flavor, so I'd get the crunchy garlic next time instead. The bowl was super filling and satisfying; it's also such a good price (~$12) for a sizable bowl. Large bowls are ~$15 which is a great deal too for cali. Packaging is so cute too and feels very LA. Would definitely come back whenever I'm craving poke bowls. There's not a lot of seating inside btw, but service was quick and efficient, and the bowls came out super fast as well.

Very decent food. The flavors are nice and the options are good. Gluten free! The ambiance is a little cramped but good for food on the go. I will say that this is only a 4/5 for the rather stoic service, but maybe I just caught them on an off day.

I love Sweetfin- I have been a huge fan for several years. I used to order the large (4.5 ounce protein), rather than the small (2.5 ounce protein) and add extra protein (3 ounces), for a total of 7.5 ounces. But I never used to finish the rice. So, I switched to ordering the small and adding protein (total 5.5 ounce), but I would find I still needed something to eat after that. Today, I ordered the large without adding extra protein and I feel very satisfied. It was a perfect amount for me. My order: Large BYOB bowl ($15.90) Base (up to 3 options) : forbidden rice, coconut rice, and kelp noodle slaw) Protein (up to 2 options): yellowfin tuna (4.5 ounces) Sauces (up to 3): yuzu koshu, add extra, on the side Free toppings (up to 6): cilantro, chili orange, cucumber, pickled ginger, pineapple, seaweed salad Options: No sesame seeds Cons: There was some black marks on the inside of my bowl- probably from where they handled the bowl. I took my order to go, but after leaving, I realized they forgot the pickled ginger and they added sesame seeds. Similar things have occurred in the past, and for that reason, I deducted a star. However. I feel that I am partially to blame for not noticing before I left. Pros: They completed my order on time (I placed it through the app). The staff working there was helpful and had good customer service. The food is delicious!

I had a gift card to use here and tried to order online for pickup but couldn't figure out how to checkout with a gift card on their app. I went in store to order and the two guys working told me their system in store hasn't been able to take giftcards for over a year so just fyi if you plan on using a Sweetfin gift card here. You have to select credit card and then it gives you the option to add gift card...took us awhile to figure out. Anyway, I got the yuzu salmon bowl and the guava lemonade. Honestly everything was very bland and not very flavorful. There are probably better poke spots out there. The best part about this place are the employees. The two guys working the front were so nice and patient and willing to go above and beyond to help. I wish I got their names so I could give them a shout out. There were some tables outside to dine outside. One thing that I found weird was that they don't make the bowl in front of you they make it in the back. I've never been to a poke place that didn't have everything in displays out front where you choose exactly what you want. Parking is street parking.

4/5 for the food, service, and location. Quick grab-n-go area if you're in a rush and want a healthier option. My friend and I visited the Hammer Museum and wanted to eat after. Cool choice - happy we got to check this place out. Food: I ordered the BYOB, Tuna + Shrimp, Classic, and Bamboo Rice. I got all their toppings except the spicy options. My friend and I split Taro Chips as well. Overall, the portion was enough for me. I felt satisfied after, not too full. The salmon and tuna tasted fresh. A typical poke bowl. The mango was fresh and in season, which was a plus. Service: You order at the counter and seat yourself. There's self-serve water cups to the side. There's about 6 seats inside and about 3 tables outside. It wasn't busy when we ate there, so we decided to eat outside since it was nice and sunny. Since there was no one there when we got there, we got our food quickly. Location: I don't believe there's a public restroom here. There's street parking everywhere, but it does share parking with all of the other retail shops. If you visit the Hammer Museum, you can park in the parking lot, but I'm unsure if you have to pay. We came on a Saturday afternoon, so it was kind of busy. Sweetfin is walking distance to a lot of things, so it's nice to have that option after you eat. Overall, a nice place to visit. Would come back here again if i'm ever in the area.

I paid for their"large" bowl and it was just a small amount of food in a half-empty large bowl.

The amount of fish and toppings that you get for a large bowl for close to $20 is not worth the price. See photo for reference. They used to fill up the bowl and now the bowl leaves much to be desired. The quality of the fish is also not fresh, as albacore should be red, but the albacore they gave me was light pink, almost brown. I ordered the truffled yuzu albacore bowl and barely tasted any truffle or yuzu flavor, very disappointing and I was still hungry after a large bowl. I've ordered large bowls before and they were definitely filled to the brim. I will not be ordering from here again.

I tried their signature Rich Chicken ramen (torisoba), and it was delicious, the broth had that creamy, concentrated depth you'd normally expect from pork, but felt a bit cleaner. If it's your first time trying chicken-based ramen, this is a solid introduction. We also got the ground chicken rice bowl, which was a standout. Super flavorful, slightly sweet savory, and honestly something I'd come back for on its own. I also tried their Japanese BBQ chicken ramen (charcoal style), and while it was good, I personally preferred the Rich Chicken ramen. The charcoal flavor on the chicken definitely added a unique edge you don't usually get in ramen, in a GOOD way. Overall, this place feels different*in a good way. It's not trying to compete with traditional pork ramen, it does its own thing, and does it well. Definitely a unique spot in LA and worth trying if you want something outside the norm.

I went with my parents while they were visiting LA, and they actually said this was their favorite restaurant of the whole trip. The ramen broth had such a rich, deep flavor from the charcoal chicken, and the noodles and toppings all worked perfectly together. Another nice bonus was that the large and regular ramen sizes were the same price, which made the meal feel like a great value. We also added the fried chicken bowl and BBQ chicken bowl, and both were tasty and delicious. Everything had great flavor and felt satisfying without being too heavy. We went during Friday lunch, and by the time we finished and left, a line had started forming -- which made sense after eating there. Highly recommend Torisoba Sumiya if you're in Sawtelle and looking for something a little different from the usual ramen spots.

You physically have to stand in line here which is a little excruciating but I came here at noon on a Saturday during the first few weeks of their pop-up announcement so I really did that to myself. It was probably a 1.5 hour wait, but I'll do anything for a good bite The demiglaze omurice delivered exactly what I wanted- the most silky melt in your mouth eggs ever, a rich savory sauce, and hamburg all on top of a bed of fluffy rice. The egg really was the star of this dish, I've never had eggs with this texture in the US. Ikura has really nailed their recipes and training of chefs here, I've tried to make eggs like this at home and it's just never the same! I will say the hamburg was a little thin and dry, but I was very willing to overlook that because of how perfect all the other components of this dish were. We also ordered the Ika Ika okonomiyaki, which comes with squid. I don't think I've ever had this type of Hiroshima style okonomiyaki, which has all the ingredients layered instead of mixed (they also do serve the Osaka mixed style mixed though). I probably wouldn't get the squid topping again, but the okonomiyaki itself is enough to keep me coming back. You get the option of soft of crispy noodles, and we got what our server recommended, the crispy, and she definitely knew what was up- the slight crunch added a great texture contrast. On the topic of our server I have to give her a shoutout for being so kind and attentive towards us. I wish I got her name, but she was a young girl server and she was just so sweet in giving us order recommendations, as well as giving us a tip that there really aren't any lines here if you come on weekdays during early lunchtime. But what really topped it off was that we remained in the Sawtelle area after we finished dining here for about two hours and ended up really needed a bathroom. No restaurants were letting us use their restroom so we went back to check Chinchikurin around 4 pm which is when they close for lunch. One of the other servers was about to send us away, but our server from over two hours ago remembered us and let us use their bathroom she's a real one

And I guess... only right now because this pop-up collaboration between Chinchikurin - Sawtelle and Ikura goes away on June 1st! From now until June 1st, Chinchikurin - Sawtelle has replaced their entire okonomiyaki menu with 4 types of omurice: demi-glace (classic), mentaiko, black curry, and tomato ketchup. You have the option of adding a hamburg steak as well. The shop is a bit on the small side as it sits in one of the more crowded plazas in Sawtelle. Service is also a bit on the slow side. I have visited Chinchikurin twice during this pop up event and tried all 4 omurices! The egg is cooked perfectly and oh so jiggly. They flop neatly blanketing the rice when you slice them down the middle. The hamburger steak is good too - I would get it. Now here is the Cody run-down on each of the different sauce options: Demi-Glacé: Classic. Very good! If this is your first time trying omurice, you should probably start here. I would describe it as a dark, elegant gravy that's savory with a touch of sweetness. Mentaiko: Unexpectedly, this was my favorite! The mentaiko flavor was rich and full of umami. The sauce was creamy and delicious. Black Curry: The curry was ok and did not have as much depth of flavor as I would have liked aside from strong notes of garlic. I would pass on this one as there are better places to get Japanese curry. Tomato Ketchup: This was my least favorite. I was actually excited for this one, but the sauce was more akin to a marinara than ketchup. I love ketchup. I was hoping for something tangy and sweet and childish, but this sauce was leaning more savory and, honestly, a bit watered down. Some appetizers, such as Takoyaki by Takoyaki Tanota, are still available. Overall, great pop up! The omurice is delicious. I've already been twice and plan to go more times before the pop up ends. If y'all see my Yelp check-ins, y'all know what's up. I highly recommend you visit before the pop up ends, and I hope the omurice ends up sticking around longer.
