We demonstrate our skill-set as often as we execute our missions. In the civilian world Dr. Ness truly exemplifies what a professional should look like as a dentist, and he executes this art on a daily basis. This was my first visit to his office - and my mother-in-law (a retired dental hygienist) has taught me to be careful with new dentists, as many are only looking to gain $ from your visit (through fillings, crowns, and other expensive work). But Dr. Ness is not your typical "run of the mill" dentist. He invested a good portion of time with me inspecting each tooth himself, along with the help of his assistant. He tracked the stains of each tooth, documenting each tooth as he went. He took photos with a high-end camera (digital), and inspected the gums around each tooth, giving numerical ratings to everything. All of this information was inputted in his computer to compare progress on our next visit. The actual cleaning (also called "prophylaxis") was done very meticulously, as the plaque was removed with a steady hand. This resulted in a very cleaned and polished look and feel. I have a natural tendency to build up plaque in specific areas of my teeth and they took care of that with ease. Dr. Ness isn't afraid to use updated and modern technology in the art of dentistry, stays current with dental knowledge, and also (and maybe most importantly) cares about the individual as a whole and not just the mouth. I wholeheartedly support Dr. Ness's practice and actually look forward to the next visit 6 months from now.

I've also enjoyed getting to know Joyce over the past few years and really trust her to do a great job cleaning my teeth. Thanks again for being a great hometown dental practice.

New patient to Andover office. I was told an existing crown needed to be replaced as a small piece…read moreof that crown had broken off and it was possible that the tooth underneath may be decayed. The crown was removed and NO decay was found. I was ok with paying for a new crown so that I knew the tooth would be protected, but the new crown sat too high in my mouth and my teeth did NOT meet/close properly. The dentist became agitated by this and was clearly mad that he was having difficulties with the placement of my crown. He removed the new crown with greater force than he should have and cracked my tooth. Crowns are made right there in a machine in the same office, so after 4 hours in the chair he finished the second attempt of my crown. Then I was told that now I needed a root canal because the tooth had cracked. I scheduled an appointment for the root canal and was relieved to learn I could save the tooth, but had the great expense of surgery on the same tooth because my dentist had damaged it. I was told to return to the dentist to seal off the top of the crown. When I returned to the dentist I complained about the unnecessary expense this had cost me and said the least he could do is cover of sealing the crown after surgery. He did not respond. After my insurance had paid the dentist I received a call from the front office explaining that I still owed for the cost of sealing the crown after surgery. I was so angry. I paid with my credit card and explained that I would NOT return. Noone was concerned about my dissatisfaction. Six months later, at a new dentist office I needed my xrays. None arrived at the new office. I paid for new xrays because they didn't send them. Money is all that is important to them. They were not concerned at all about my welfare

I'm a recently retired veteran of 24 years and in the summer of 2021 I was still on Active duty…read morestationed in Minnesota. I had some work done at Twin Cities Dental in 2021. Part of the work that was done was getting a Night guard fitted due to TMJ. All the work was completed prior to my official retirement date of 9/1/21. On the day I retired I received a call saying my mouth guard was ready to be picked up, but I was out of town and couldn't grab it that day. Long story short I told them I'd have to wait to pick it up because my insurance would lapse that day. In the mean time I had to get on my wife's dental insurance to cover a root canal because the dentist at Twin Cities Dental cracked my tooth while fitting my mouth guard. 2 months later, Once I got in my wife's insurance I went back to Twin cities dental to get my mouth guard. Twin Cities Dental billed my new insurance (even though all the work was done while on active duty and covered under my insurance) and unfortunately they wouldn't cover it. Here we are 1 1/2 years later and I'm still dealing with these people. I called Twin cities dental and explained the situation and basically was told to bad so sad. I asked if they would work with me on the total cost of the bill and I was told no, I'd have to pay in full. They aren't willing to work with me the total cost!! I don't recommend Twin Cities Dental to anyone! They're all about making that money!

I am disgusted with this practice. They are scamming the government into using up your dental work…read morefor the first year. They call up patients ever 2 months for a cleaning and charge the government for the bill. They used up all my dental coverage for the first year with no consideration if I legitimately need dental work and when I did need dental work and was in pain I had no coverage let because they used it all based on greed and no consideration for the customer. I would not have been a customer of them had I know this in advance.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I had a new patient appointment back in March of this year. The facility…read morewas not clean or well kept. I was rushed through my x-rays as if I was not paying for the service. After my x-rays and exam, the dental hygienist rushed through my gum measurements making sure to be forceful enough to make my gums bleed. In the end, I was not allowed to get a cleaning. Instead I was told that I needed invisalign (I am blessed with some of the straightest teeth possible), a replacement for a tooth far back in my mouth and root planing and scaling. I told them I only wanted root planing and scaling and they told me it would be $3,000+ for the service and maintenance. They then tried to pressure me to schedule the service. When asked why I couldn't just get a cleaning, they stated "it would be unethical" to clean my teeth without completing the root planing and scaling prior. I asked for a print out of the services they said I needed and promptly left. I had insurance so I was wondering why it only covered $50. Three months later, I started a new job and therefore started a new dental policy. This time I went to Park Dental in Coon Rapids and received a much better service overall. Not only was the facility immaculately clean, but after thorough, unrushed x-ray and exams, they cleaned my teeth without hesitation. No other service was recommended but regular cleanings. ASPEN IS A SCAM! I should have ran when I heard other customers complaining about their bill in the lobby before my appointment. BUYER BEWARE, and get a second opinion on anything they recommend.
