Worth the drive! My…read morewife and I went there recently when we were in that part of the state, and we can tell you, this place is the real stuff. As I recall, we had the beef brisket, the wings, and of course the pork ribs. (Like Eve, my wife wouldn't consider it the real experience without ribs!) The meat was already so perfectly seasoned that I almost hated to put any barbecue sauce on it. So good! That's about the highest compliment I can imagine giving any place. That's not to say their barbecue sauce wasn't also delicious--it's great! They actually have a whole range of different styles of sauces. Do what we did, dine in and sample the whole sauce lineup. My wife also gave them her highest compliment: While we were eating, she said something like, "This may be the best barbecue I've ever tasted." My wife has become a real barbecue connoisseur, with strong opinions on different barbecue places; coming from her, this means a lot. My wife's final tip: Skip the wings, go straight for the real meats! --Edit: My wife corrects my memory, I was remembering her review of the wings at a different barbecue place. She says the wings at Bob's were also excellent.

After being seated our server came and introduced himself as Nick. I could sense immediately Nick was no novice. He was genuine, made eye contact, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He took our beverage order and returned with our drinks and took our entree orders. Anytime he was serving other diners in our section he stopped by the table to see if we needed anything . He didn't miss a thing! Nick brought our entrees to our table, not a food runner giving him another opportunity to provide excellent service for anything else we might need to keep service at a high level. My wife had a tossed salad, Chicken Tenders , and a perfectly baked potato. I ordered a tossed salad, medium rare New York Strip, and a fluffy baked potato. Both our entrees were executed expertly: crispy, juicy, and tender chicken tenders and a perfect med rare steak! Between the Rock Star service Nick delivered and perfectly prepared entrees Texas Roadhouse knocked this one out of the park with a grand slam! Nick was the common, consistent piece of the puzzle bringing it all home. Thank you Texas Roadhouse AND Nick for an outstanding dining experience!!

I am disappointed with how things have changed in recent years, there are now so many hanging advertisements that it feels like dining in Times Square! It makes the restaurant feel tacky and overshadows the atmosphere which was previously Texas themed and fun/family forward. All around I recommend this restaurant for a casual, affordable, family dinner! Ps, I do hope the health department scores keep improving! While it has come a great distance from its 6(!) priority violations just a few months ago, I'm still concerned to see a priority violation and mention of roaches in their most recent health department report.

Well I'm allergic to nuts so I'm going to take it back inside. Come to find out the dining room is closed so now I have to call to get my correct order that I asked for to begin with. After waiting out front someone brings me out what I ordered at least what I thought I ordered . Upon receiving the brownie royal blizzard that I asked for I get a chocolate milkshake with chocolate chips and crumbs of brownie. To the employees the fudge is supposed to be in the middle of the blizzard not blended up in with everything else. Not only is this town turning into a crap show but now the restaurants are too.

I've ordered this same cake every March for my husband's birthday. I've ordered it in Lancaster, other parts of Ohio, and in West Virginia. Imagine my surprise when, after placing my order, I receive a call from the Fair Avenue DQ telling me they cannot make my cake. I assume I was speaking to the manager, who told me they don't "do" top and bottom blizzard cakes. I asked why not--I've ordered them for years. She replied that is wasn't possible and no one could do them. She told me that they had never done them (despite mine having ordered them from this location before). I was told my memory was false. She told me not to bother calling the East Main location because they wouldn't do them either. I hung up and placed my order at another DQ. To prove that DQ cakes ARE possible, I'm including pictures from the double Blizzard cake I received from the other DQ.
