Communication and follow-up are terrible. The initial order took forever to come in and when I…read morewould ask her about the status of the order, she would not respond and then would make excuses. I have had several issues with these very expensive shades. I have called or texted Carol on different occasions regarding issues with my shades and weeks go by without her responding, so I reach out again and then she finally responds. Most recently I contacted her on June 2nd and she didn't respond, so I contacted her again on June 25th. She asked what the issues were and said she would contact the manufacturer. I did not hear back from her, so on July 1st, I asked if she had heard from the manufacturer. She said no. On July 10th, she finally called and said the shades would have to be taken down and brought to her shop and then sent to California. We arranged for me to bring the shades in today, July 21st. I went to the trouble of taking the shades down and contacted her twice to get the address for her shop (because I have never been there, she has come to my house for measurements and installation). She finally called me back and said the shades are out of warranty and the motor replacement will be $350 and shipping would be $60. At this point, I am so disappointed and have had such a bad experience over the last three years, that it's not worth it to deal with Carol anymore. Nothing but the runaround from Carol. She should stand behind the product she sells and she should have advocated for me with the manufacturer for shades that are just barely out of warranty. To add insult to injury, I have been told that the standard warranty in the industry is 5 years. Carol never mentioned until after I placed my order and was waiting for them to come in that they were coming from China. If I had known they were coming from China, I would not have ordered them. Why would anyone spend $3600 for two window shades that are only going to last for 3 years? They wouldn't. But when they are being sold by a dishonest person, that's what I'm left with. I will put the shades back up (another waste of my time) and just not have a working motor in a shade that is only three years old and cost $1800. A cord in the other shade came loose last year, and she never got back to me about it, so I was going to have that repaired as well under the warranty that she led me to believe on July 10th was still valid. But she let me go to the trouble to take down the shades today and didn't get back to me about the warranty and the cost to fix them and ship them until after I took the shades down and contacted her twice for her address. It would have been nice to know the warranty is no longer valid on 3 year old shades that cost $3600 before I took them down. At this point, these shades are a sunk cost. I will replace them instead of paying for a new motor. I would caution against using Carol for your window treatment needs unless you want to be extremely frustrated and waste your money. I have had shades done by Peachtree Blinds of Atlanta (I didn't give Carol repeat business because of the unpleasant and frustrating experience) and had a great and efficient experience with excellent communication. A friend of mine had shades done by Three Day Blinds and also had an excellent experience. There are alternatives. I can't recommend Carol, but I wish her well. It would be helpful for her and her customers if she listened more than she talked.

I was worried at first that they wouldn't have many options for wallpaper, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and saw they have over 30 wallpaper books to look through. The staff was so helpful when we mentioned we were looking for something floral, and made sure we had bookmarks to use to help when deciding between books. They also helped pull a few books they thought could have what we were looking for. When it came down to ordering, the process was super simple and took less than 5 min to get the order in and pay. The wallpaper arrived to the store within a week, and I was notified by phone when it was ready for pick up. I will definitely come back for any future flooring, painting, or wallpaper needs!

KSL communicated clearly when scheduling, before starting, during, and after finishing the clean. I asked via the project request chat what I should do to prepare for their arrival, to which they said there's nothing I need to do in advance. For the price, I thought it was a bargain. My recommendation is so strong that it's now 3 years past the service, and I not only can recollect the experience, but also am motivated to leave this review.

Positives: We engaged Lucy (who served as the project manager) and the floor refinishers at MDL to…read morerefinish our cherry wood floor which extends through the living room, dining room and hallway area of our home. Also included was refinishing our oak floor in the office. After the first day I was a little worried about the dust but Lucy reassured me that their commercial vacuum cleaner would leave everything as it was before. I had contracted for two coats of varnish, but the floors really needed three. And after the third coat the floors truly looked great. The floor refinishers worked diligently for two days to finish the job and were both friendly and accommodating when needed. The vacuuming of the dust was good, but not complete. Negatives: One downside is that none of the MDL employees who came to the house spoke English so all negotiations had to go through calling Lucy who would relay information to the refinishers and then back to me. Another issue was that I was having a lot of vendors at the house so it was difficult to supervise the work as closely as needed. Hence, while a lot of the dust was removed, the just cleaned cloth portions of our plantation shutters throughout our living room and dining room were not vacuumed and had collected a lot of reddish dust. Also, a couple of electrical outlet plates were not reinstalled. Not a big issue, but attention to detail remains with the owner. Lastly, Lucy asked me to make the check out to her personally, instead of to the company. However, when I stated the check would be in the company's name since that's with whom I had the contract, she accepted my decision without further discussion. Overall recommendation: Despite a few drawbacks, the final product was excellent, the refinishers were hard workers and skilled at their jobs, and the price of the project was fair. I would hire this company again with the realization of the issues involved

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Laura over the course of several days to tackle some…read moreof the most chaotic spaces in our home - and the results were nothing short of transformative. First, she began by organizing our basement, which was previously difficult to even walk through without tripping over something. She worked side by side with us to sort through boxes of memorabilia and family heirlooms - a process that could have easily felt overwhelming or emotional, but she approached it with empathy and patience. Her ability to guide us in categorizing items while respecting their sentimental value was remarkable. Due to the size of the project, Laura also brought an assistant one day who was able to help me with basement tasks while she came up with a game plan with my husband to organize his office. Next, she moved onto organizing our garage. With a keen eye for efficiency, she created a practical layout, grouped similar items, installed a clear labeling system, and helped us make full use of our shelving. Instead of my car door constantly hitting the bike and other items around it, the garage now feels accessible and functional! What stood out most is how thoughtful and realistic Laura was throughout the process. She came in with a clear timeline, helped set priorities for each day, and paced the work in a way that kept us engaged without burning out. Her professional yet compassionate approach made the entire experience manageable and left us with a feeling of empowerment and accomplishment. If you're looking for someone who can bring calm to your chaos with kindness, structure, and serious skill - look no further. We highly recommend her!
