Reviews are not usually my thing, but the quality and service of Southern Painting went far beyond expectations, and certainly warrants some praise. We recently purchased a true 1940's home, with terrible plaster ceilings and tons of "character." We sought quotes from three companies for a whole home painting, and removal of the horrendous plaster ceilings. Nick P. came out and quoted the project on the spot, with actual costs for every single line item. Nothing was hidden, and his knowledge of the industry was immediately apparent. They were not the lowest quote we received, but very close, and very reasonable given the amount of work. We ultimately decided to go with Southern Painting, in large part because of the personal service and responsiveness of Nick P. They were the only company willing to bring in a 5-man team to tackle our project, the only one that explained the process and warranty in exceptional detail, and the only one that we immediately felt had the experience and knowledge to tackle the unique challenges of an older home. Within a week of our decision, Nick and his team started work. To say they did a good job would be an understatement. The quality of work was exceptional. The old plaster ceilings, that used to resemble an upside-down lemon meringue pie top, were seamlessly flattened and look amazing. Nick P. helped with color selection and was accessible and responsive throughout the entire process. We received daily updates and photos of the progress. In total, the project took exactly how long they said it would, and cost exactly what they quoted. This company is AMAZING!!!! I have a large (1/2 acre) fenced in back yard. I did research & picked Southern Painting based on their reviews, price & obvious knowledge. Once it was painted it looked great and I paid them promptly. 5-6 weeks later I noticed that there was some peeling in areas of the fence. A whole team came out (including the paint provider) to determine what needed to be done to fix the problem. Their decision was to strip & scrape the fence & repaint.........no cost to me!!!!! It has now been 3 months & it still looks great. I will be calling on them in the future for all my personal & business painting needs. Fantastic and Outstanding artistry! We purchased a home that really needed updates, brightening, and modernizing. We chose Southern Painting based on Google reviews. The scope of our job involved painting the kitchen, 2 story den, foyer, hall, master, and master bath. We got every bit of the 5 star service that was represented by other's reviews. Kent was fantastic in customer service, always checking in with us, always doing quality control, and always explaining what comes next. Kent and his teams were very kind, hard working, and true craftsmen and artists. Every tiny detail was taken care of. Now, to put my review in perspective, my wife and I are very detail oriented, and I have a background in home improvement and skills, I just couldn't do the quality and speed that this crew did. I will do some other small rooms, but they hit it hard, fast, with excellent detail and quality. My wife and I could not be more pleased. The work performed on our home made it look new again. Well done, well done indeed. We will have them back in the spring to do the outside as well. Update (7/28/21)... We had Southern Painting back to paint the exterior of the house. It looks fantastic and elegant. Kent worked with me in the color selection, and we even drove the neighborhood looking at color schemes. The house looks so elegant now. Several neighbors stopped over and said the same. The house was 14 years old and had extensive wood rot around the windows and trim. I thought I'd need a carpenter to first repair the house, but Southern did it all from start to finish. The final cost was just as estimated. I feel bad for the crew though, as we've had a lot of rain, and they had to stop several times due to pop up thunderstorms. In the end, everything got done perfectly. They even painted the vent ports and little details I hadn't even considered. I'm very pleased and would have them back for projects in the future anytime. read more

Southern Painting did such a fantastic job painting a bunch of rooms inside of my house last year, I asked them to come back and paint the outside this year! Kent provides a very detailed quote - in fact, I sort of teased him about how that detailed quote sheet would translate into higher costs but out it is the greatest tool ever! You can choose exactly what you want them to paint. Maybe save a little money if you want to do some of the job yourself which I did! The crew came on time each day and were very courteous to the extend of doing an excellent job cleaning up at the end of the project.
