I explained how disappointed I was because when I dropped off the garments, there was no mention about having to replace the fabric of the belt loops or completely altering the back of the skirt where the zipper was. She asked what she could do to make it right. I could tell she really cares about her business and customers, as well as the quality of work they produce. I explained that there wasn't much because of how altered they both were but instead, to make sure her parents fully understood what the customer was wanting and not to be afraid to say no if they couldn't actually do it. She agreed and again, couldn't have been more apologetic. This was a learning lesson for both parties and I know how to move forward. In the beginning, she asked if she could give me a refund. I declined at first because I wasn't seeking one but instead, was really hoping something could be done about my clothes. After a few phone calls, I decided I'd go ahead and take it. Prior to this, It had been a while since I've brought something to them but because this was handled so professionally, I'll continue using them but for dry cleaning only. Michelle, thank you for your kindness and empathy you displayed in trying to remedy this situation.

The dress was pretty clean but the bottom was pretty dirty from our outdoor wedding. Their service was excellent. They got it cleaned and packaged up in box within two weeks of dropping it off there. The communication they provided was excellent. They even sent a text message when the dress was ready for pickup. The quality of work was well worth the cost. The dress cleaning and preservation was $260 then they offered two size boxes. The medium box was $80 and the large box was $100. My wife's dress luckily fit into a medium box so I walked away with an out the door price of $360. I was not aware until I picked it up that the box I purchased came with a window so that you could still see the dress while keeping it packaged up and looking nice! I would highly recommend this place for all your dry cleaning needs and especially if you're looking to have your wedding dress preserved. My rating : BEST

I like to get my jeans tailored and keep the original bottom hem, which she does very well IMO, and unlike other tailors I've never had to explain what I mean when I ask for this. One time, I was working late and called her back a bit after her operating hours. She was already on her way home and, even though I told her I could stop in the next day, she came back to get me my dress/work clothes! I believe she did this because I was in the parking lot of her store. Point is, she is a very sweet lady who clearly takes pride in her work and will work with you on whatever you need.

When we went to the shop on 4/1/2023, we were advised that the dress would be altered from a size 14 to fit my daughter who is a size 6. For whatever reason, the bottom of the dress was not altered to her measurements. When we tried the dress on 4/10/2023, there is a huge gap at the waist that allows a person to see straight down the back of the dress. Her prom was 4/15/2023 so we had to take it to a seamstress in Indianapolis to take the dress in further. There was about 3 inches of dress that had to be removed. We were charged $55 for the services. When i spoke to Shetland, she agreed to a partial refund of $26. In our conversation you cited the lack of time as the reason that you were not able to complete the alterations as we agreed on 4/1. My response was that you should not have accepted the job given the tight timeline if you were not sure that you would be able to do the job as agreed. If you had been open about your reservations with altering the dress, we had an agreement with Art at La Merite dress shop to not purchase the dress. But you said that you could do it so we bought the dress and paid for the alterations. When my sister went to get the $26 dollar's yesterday, Svetlana only gave her $17 and told her to get out of her shop. Incredibly rude, unprofessional, and poor quality work. I believe a professional would take the extra care to requote to ensure the end product was good and not just a "cheap" job. The work is quality and the pieces are beautiful. However, they had the dress for 4 months and did not get it finished until less than a week before the wedding! They blamed my daughter that she gave the dress to them late! She dropped it off in February and the wedding is in May. Late? They waited until the last minute. Second they told her at the first fitting, she was too fat for the dress and needed to lose weight! My daughter would not get the dress if it was the wrong size. They said that they would let it out. They did not, they made it tighter. Third, they agreed to put in buttons on the bodice but because they were not finished with it, they rushed it and sewed in a zipper crooked. We could not zip it when she brought it home. Fourth, they partially unattached the satin ribbon belt to put in the zipper. I get that, but not tack it back on?
