I really wanted to support the Sweet Red Peach location in Carson because I LOVE the Inglewood location. I've been going there for years and they've always made me feel like family. Unfortunately, my experience with the Carson location has been the complete opposite. I've now wasted my time driving over there TWICE. The first time, they were under construction. The second time, they were closed, despite very recently promoting their new, later hours on social media. That's what makes it so frustrating. We're in the social media era. If you can use social media to promote new hours, you can also use it to let customers know you're closing early or won't be open. It takes less than a minute to post an update. Instead, customers are left wasting their time and gas showing up to a closed business. At this point, it honestly feels like they'd rather avoid posting that they're closed than risk looking bad online, even if that means inconveniencing customers who are relying on the hours THEY promoted. And unfortunately, even when the Carson location is open, the customer service hasn't been great. The younger staff rarely greet or welcome customers, and the overall energy just isn't very friendly or inviting. I hate even writing this because I genuinely love Sweet Red Peach and have so much love for the Inglewood location, but the Carson location is making the brand look BAD BAD BAD. I really hope management gets this location together because the quality of the product deserves a much better customer experience. read more

Yummy and excellent service! My barber raved about the butter pecan cake so I stopped in for a slice $7! I also purchased a chocolate chip cookie for my dad $3.50. Both were good the cake was moist sweet delicious, and covered with pecans, I do wish they were baked in vs spread on top and it would have been nice to have the menu on so customers could see all the offerings they had in stock including the items in the fridge but I thought the items were reasonably priced and the items in stock had a good variety! read more

Def a place to try! I went on a Friday 5pm so most were sold out. But grabbed the last strawberry crunch and carrot cake. I really liked the strawberry crunch it had good amount of frosting but not overwhelming. Subtle crunchiness with strawberry flavor! The cake is not heavy but not light. Five stars for their Blue Velvet cake slice! So moist, crumbly, chewy, and melts in your mouth goodness, like a cake should be. And it has the right amount of frosting and it isn't overly sweet. Saw on Facebook that the soft opening of Sweet Red Peach Carson was today, so I had to check it out! I arrived about 10 minutes after opening. The bakery is located in a new condo/retail building -- everything from the parking lot to the storefront was spotless and welcoming. It's a grab & go setup, but there are tables out front if you want to enjoy your treat right away. Parking is easy with both street options and a lot behind the building. There were about 20 people in line when I arrived -- word's definitely getting around! I wanted to try the cinnamon roll, but they weren't ready yet. Instead, I picked up a toffee chocolate chip cookie with pecans ($4), banana pudding cup ($7.50), and a slice of chocolate/chocolate cake ($8). Everything looked -- and tasted -- just as amazing as the original location. Service was courteous. I could tell employees were excited and a bit nervous about day one. Ordered the peach cobbler, not use to a crispy take on the crust. Also noticed more of a lemon flavor and an overpowering taste of nutmeg. Overall, not bad. This time I came back 2 days in a row. I had the lemon pound cake which did not disappoint. The whipped Strawberry Vanilla cake was 10/10. The cupcakes were filled with stuff good stuff . We've been looking forward to trying these baked goods out. First physical impression leaves a bit to be desired, there's no warm inviting nook seating or seating at all really other than the folding picnic table and 2 chairs. The counter is very clean so I'll give that an A+. Shelf stock was low and I'm not quite sure what it looks like day to day or if there's a specific time when it's at full stock and that being said, options were pretty much limited. We went with a blue velvet, chocolate- chocolate and a cinnamon roll (the sign says they're voted #1 roll in LA). As far as we tasted, the kids loved both cakes therefore kid approved. As for adult taste buds, I was seemingly surprised that the blue velvet was pretty darn good and more enjoyable than the chocolate- chocolate. The chocolate cake was good, don't get me wrong, but it was waaayy to sweet for my liking. 1 forkful was more than enough sweet on the chocolate one. Anyway, I'd definitely go again and try the other flavor cakes. Plus why not enjoy a sweet craving every once in a while *update. I went in on a Saturday at approximately 2:30pm (they close at 7pm), and the inventory is low. Specifically, none of the German Chocolate cakes. Wondering why they cannot be stocked with a variety of items advertised on their menu until the end of the day? I can understanding running out of items at 6:59pm prior to closing, but running low on items several hours prior to closing is Disappointing with a capital D. read more

I saw there was a new business in between Veo Cafe and The Crab Shack. I knew that name from somewhere and have since learned it is a popular small chain bakery. Looking at the menu I noticed they had a highly recommended Peach Cobbler. The first time I went, they didn't have the Peach Cobbler, but I tried the Red Velvet Cake. I sat out front and ate it. It was good, and I also noticed they have Blue Velvet Cake with blueberries that I will be trying soon. Did I mention, I think this is a great addition to Carson?
