Just like it's namesake, Joyaux (meaning "jewel" in French) values every handmade truffle and confection like a precious gem with care, detail and quality gleaming in each one. The box assembled has a great range of flavors that really helps to complement each other. I ate the double chocolate truffle, so rich, dark and decadent, and then followed it up with raspberry pate de fruit which was bright, sparkling and REALLY popped compared to the richness of the chocolate. The sourdough dark chocolate pretzels are something I personally could eat an entire bag of, so they're plenty dangerous and could be paired with beer, whisky or your favorite cocktail easily. Soft carmel was chewy but only JUST chewy enough where I didn't feel like I'd have to go to the dentist to get my fillings redone like some carmels I'm legit afraid of. The white chocolate raspberry ganache truffle was smooth and creamy like how you picture white chocolate. The hint of raspberry lingers around at the end of the flavor - for those who love raspberry I could even seen that getting punched up a little. The Arc de Triomphe (get it, the name is French?!!) is the peanut butter truffle. It's a souped-up Reese's on steroids. If you like chocolate and you like peanut butter (who doesn't?) you're gonna fall in love with this treat. Something they do with the peanut butter filling gives it an extra layer of complexity and just a hint of crunch.

I loved that both the Raspberry Pate De Fruit and the Caramels had great flavor, were really chewy but neither stuck to your teeth which is a common issue with those types of treats. Simply put, what they do they do very well. The popcorn was sweet and crunchy without being clawingly sweet, with a little hint of saltiness. A perfect combination. The salted caramel chews are perfectly chewy and luscious and garnished with the slightest hint of salt to contrast the sweetness. Try eating just one! I've also had the chocolate caramels which are absolutely out of this world delicious. The products are a little pricey, but well worth the few extra dollars for the flavor and quality that sets them apart from the rest. Looking forward to trying more of their confections in the near future!

The presentation of the shop itself and within each chocolate box is adorable. Oh and the taste... the taste is quality. You can tell fresh ingredients and cacao go into the unique treats. I loved the banana chocolate I sampled on site, and the truffles I took home are to die for. They define "melt in your mouth." In addition to the select chocolates, on offer is also decadent international chocolate bars, cacao cooking items, and delicious nut butters. You bet I left with some for myself. It's important that each component be just right or it can ruin the cup though. The Nutman Company was founded in 1992 in Hubertus, WI. Not that I dislike Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (quite the opposite), but Nutman's version is easily superior and possibly the best I've ever had. After having these I could easily go without ever having Reese's again (gasp). The milk chocolate is smooth & creamy. Biting into the chocolate, it's very soft & the creamy peanut butter innards are quickly exposed. Reese's has a chunkier and more solid peanut butter core. The core of this product is more velvety & smooth. It's not in a messy liquid state, but it's not nearly as firm as Reese's and other brands either. It reminds me of peanut butter chocolates from another local WI candy maker (Quality Candy/Buddy Squirrel). Just like those other brands, Nutman's version is Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews
