I ordered from Mealsdotkom every single week for months starting back in 2019 and into 2020 and…read more2021. I liked that it was a local, family owned company. I eventually got tired of the same food every week but we occasionally ordered here and there - most recently for May 4th. Unfortunately someone packed the wrong food into the bag with my name - annoying but resolved with a few phone calls and texts back and forth. We were told to put the incorrect food outside for pickup and they delivered our "correct" order. Chris Navarro, I sure hope you got fresh food since strangers unpacked your food and touched it before they realized it wasn't theirs. Now the reason for this negative review? They were out of brown rice so said they would send along a sub and refund the brown rice. Tell me why I haven't gotten this refund and have to chase it with no reply when the refund wasn't even something I asked for. I would have rather gotten my correct food without having to waste my time fixing their mistake.

But, by accident or divine intervention from the food Gods I was given a lunch box from Delicious Deliveries and was blown away with the combination of flavor and texture to the food... yes as a food person texture is important. Cost- I don't see how the cost could be beat. My grocery bills AND my workload went down. Freezable- I bought for the week and froze/microwaved some of the meals. Of course the quality is best when not frozen, but they reheated well, cooked the crisp veggies and tasted good. Ease- order on a Friday, and pick up (I live super close) a couple days later... Brittany is also kind, great with communication and reliable.

I did not receive my order and have not received a response to calls, texts, or emails requesting a refund. I'm glad I did not place a larger order and spend a huge amount of money. At this point I've filed a complaint with the bbb and the attorney general in addition to disputing the charge with my bank. I'd advise anyone else not to order from this business since they do not seem to be legitimate or at the minimum do not provide acceptable customer service by responding to customers.

I dont need wild sourced edamame or rice blessed from 100 virgins. The meals are great tasting, and the add ons are worth the price. The one week they forgot a meal they made a big deal about rushing it out to me ASAP even though I was set for the night. I appreciate the hustle. So far my favorites have been the salmon and carnitas. The people that drop off my deliveries on Sunday are always friendly and courteous and having a large window to receive them is nice.

There is a meal plan for everyone; even if you have dietary restrictions and/or allergies. I made a note that I have a seafood allergy and they made sure I was well taken care of. Excellent customer service - friendly, great communication, quick responses. Delivery always arrives during the designated time, is contactless, and very well packaged. The food: The meals are freshly prepared, not frozen, and ready to be reheated. Many meal delivery services are so high in sodium. Not the case with Lean Mean Meal Prep. With every delivery, a nutritional breakdown is included. Most importantly, the meals are tasty, lots of variety! 100/10 recommend!

My trainer suggested I look into a meal prep service so I could get better results and make more consistent progress. I feel like I definitely feel the difference training eating really balanced and protein heavy meals I've also been able to lose a few pounds in these 3 weeks. I am on my third set of meals, and I really love it so far. I think it is a great value for the convenience and quality and I like their selection and diversity. Their packaging is also really great, and everything is very intentional and organized. Every couple of weeks they change up the menu I appreciate being able to do swaps as well because I can't eat broccoli/cauliflower anymore Everything was really easy on the sign up and I was contacted to arrange delivery right away. Communication is consistent and great, any issues I can directly communicate with someone and it will be handled right away. I am very happy with the service, and I love supporting as local as possible! I would definitely recommend to try if you are interested in a meal prep service and are local in their service area. I think if I could offer any feedback it would be great if there were some vegetarian options or swaps available someday? My partner is vegetarian and this could have been a double client household :) but yeah understandably different target populations for different meal prep services - but just thought I would share.
