I really wanted to love sweet market and I'm sad I didn't. I have a major sweet tooth but believe it or not, I didn't enjoy my cookies and cream Frappuccino. I hate to be critical about a seemingly small thing, but I LOVE Oreos and the fact that the Oreos used were off brand, actually made a big difference to me. They just were not good, making the taste throughout the Frappuccino also not good. Instead of having a chocolate/Oreo flavor it tasted oddly like protein powder...not something I'm hoping to taste in a dessert drink. There are plenty of other things to try on the menu so I'd like to give it another try, but my "fail safe" cookies and cream was not the drink I was hoping for. Stopped in this weekend for their 412 deal (grab any dessert drink for $4.12+ tax). This is a little over $3.00 in savings from the normal $7.50+ tax (also very reasonable), but gave us a nice reason to stop in while in the area. The storefront isn't exceptionally large, but felt comfortable and had a couple seats and a table for dining in which people used, and the store floor has many tables and pegboards on which a multitude of sweet offerings are for purchase. Truly, there must be something like 250-300 items of all difference types to buy--certainly something for everyone! The dessert drinks took about 20 minutes to make but they sure were decadent! Lots of whipped cream and cookies and donettes included! I'd recommend sharing any drink at they are quite large and quite sweet. Good experience overall read more

I stopped by here yesterday by myself for the Yelp event here. Although my wife and I are semi frequent visitors in Sewickley, neither of us had heard of Sweet Bakery before. It's located right on Beaver Ave in the main business district. Heading into the store I didn't really know what to expect. I was greeted with a somewhat narrow store with candies on both sides of the store and then some tables down the middle with more candies separating the store into two aisles. Last but not least, in the back was the cash register and the area where they made their drinks like coffee and bubble tea. The Yelp event got me a free bubble tea here and you can read my review of that on the Elite event page. In addition to that I also purchased some dark chocolate caramel and sea salt chocolates for my wife as well as some tea berry gum, a Orams doughnut and a brownie. I was especially excited about the tea berry gum as I have found memories of it and haven't seen it in years. Then the other item that was for me was the Orams doughnut which I had later that night. It ended up being a good doughnut with a nice texture and a smooth and sweet cream filling. My wife was able to try the dark chocolate caramel and sea salt chocolates and thought they were really good with the caramel inside being soft and chewy. Then the brownie she found to be really fudgie and while she enjoyed it, she thought that there could have been less frosting on it. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. All of the food that we got here was good and the prices were definitely reasonable, so why not? read more

I finally stopped in here for the Yelp Elite Week Event and was so happy that I made it! Sweet Market is an awesome family ran business in Sewickley and I absolutely loved it in there! The store was filled with so many different types of gummy candies, chocolates, and so much more! They even have a bunch of Easter candy out right now for the holidays, so I can't wait to come back and grab some of that! The owner was super friendly and we talked the entire time I was there. Since i am not super familiar with Boba, she helped me decide which kind I would like and gave some awesome flavor recommendations. I went with an almond-milk base, Vanilla Bean flavor (her personal recommendation), and tapioca balls (the most popular). It was so good! Boba is so fun to drink because you never know when one of those balls is going to come shooting up the straw! Sweet Market is currently a part of the Pittsburgh's 412 deal, where they are offering any sweet drink for only $4.12! I did not claim mine when I was there, but told the owner that I would definitely be back with my girlfriend, as this would have been her dream world surrounded by sweets! My son and I came here to check out the candy shop. The shop has all types of candy here from retro candy to quality made. None of their candy is made in house but rather they get them from other vendors. Some of the names include Edward Marc used at the Milkshake factory and Pink House chocolates which is a vegan brand of candy located in Finleyville. They sell hard candies here as well. My personal favorite was the chocolate covered pretzels!! Yum! They also sell dessert drinks, bubble teas, and coffee and various pastries. What makes it nice is that you can do one stop candy shopping for everyone on your list especially now that Easter is coming. They do have a selection of Easter candies to choose from along with some Easter plush. They sell two different types of "bombs" here. One is a hot tea bomb which comes in different flavors and the other is hot cocoa bomb. I purchased an Easter themed cocoa bomb for my best friend and got some Pink House chocolate for my son. I ended up with a darling duck peep for myself. With your check in you can get a dessert drink for $4.12. I used that to purchase a bubble tea for my son which had an oatmilk base along with rose flavoring and tapioca bubbles. It also came with a gummy worm on the straw. He really enjoyed it. They have a couple table and chairs outside if you want to relax on a warm day. This is a cute shop to check out when visiting the Sewickley area. Sweet Market is a cute little shop nestled in lovely Sewickley. I appreciate that they even still had a phone number to call to check on a few things! They do have every sweet you could possibly want, however, I did specifically go here for bubble tea as the surrounding Sewickley/Ben Avon area doesn't really have bubble tea options. The owner here is lovely and friendly! Unfortunately my taro tea was not good :( I get bubble tea at least once a week around Pittsburgh and I think this place could take some notes. First off, you can always do tea and milk and boba together at every other place. Sweet market only allows you to do milk OR tea. I don't really know why, but I suspect that is why the flavor was off. I would go back for candy, but not bubble tea. read more

Sweet Market has been in business for about one year, and it sells candies (e.g., gummies and hard candies), chocolates, pastries (e.g., donuts, muffins, and krispie treats), and beverages (e.g., hot chocolates, coffees, and bubble teas). When I entered the store, an employee kindly greeted me and asked if I needed any assistance. My husband and I ordered bubble teas, and I also picked out additional goodies to buy. For the bubble teas, we got to choose from either milk or tea bases, a couple dozen flavors, and several bobas. At home, we drank our bubble teas and other treats. Here are my reviews for these items: Strawberry bubble tea - 5 stars - I ordered a base of black tea, strawberry flavor, and strawberry popping pearls. I really liked the strawberry flavors and how the popping pearls squirted juice into my mouth. Passionfruit bubble tea - 4 stars - I think that my husband ordered green tea with passionfruit flavor and tapioca boba. The flavor powder could have been mixed better, but the taste was very good. Peanut butter chocolates - 5 stars - This treat was chunks of peanut butter that were covered in milk chocolate. We ate all of them in one day! Gummy candies - 5 stars - We picked out cherry-shaped gummy candies, and they were perfectly chewy and sweet. Mentos candies - 4 stars - I bought my preferred fruit-flavored Mentos. I really liked the taste, but the price for one roll was $2.50, which is priced higher than at other stores. Tea bomb - 4 star - I accidentally crushed the candy exterior with my fingers--oops! I then had a mess of shattered candy all over my kitchen floor. Do not do what I did! I was able to put the remaining candy and the tea bag into a mug of hot water. This store is across the street from me at work, and we popped in this afternoon because it was the anniversary day. It is cute and sweet, and smells deliciously of maple, sugar and a hint of coffee. There is a wide selection of specialty, novelty, and brand name candies to choose from. I bought a chocolate covered pretzel stick (pictured) with reeses pieces all over it and can't wait to try it. Tbey had chocolates, gummy candy, pretzels,, lollipops and more.. There is also a pretty sizable menu of drinks like boba tea, lattes, coffees and etc. so I will absolutely be returning to order a beverage. No restroom I don't think, but some small tables out front in case you want to enjoy your treats right there on the sidewalk next to Beaver St. Family friendly, although not many people fit inside the store. We watched the small children in front of us get bobas and about 24 dollars worth of candies so I'm sure they are just beside themselves with joy today. This store is too adorable!! It is located in the heart of Sewickley on Beaver St. Walking in, you instantly smell the sweet aroma of chocolate and coffee. The extremely kind woman working welcomed us as we entered which I thought was very kind and welcoming. There is an abundance of different candies and products to choose from. From chocolate to gummies to boba tea, it is very likely you will find what you are looking for here. I did not purchase any candy today, but it all looked delicious. The chocolate covered pretzels, Oreos, and Rice Krispies are probably so tasty. They also have Easter themed candy which would be perfect for any Easter basket. The hot chocolate bombs are decorated so pretty, and would definitely make this cold weather a little better. They also have tea bombs of a couple different flavors, which I have never seen before. There are donuts and other pastries located on the checkout counter that would be perfect for breakfast! My sister and I ordered a milk tea with tapioca and a java chip dessert drink. Each was flavorful and a pretty large portion. I absolutely love the little touches of candy on top of the tea, and icing, sprinkles and little donut on the Java chip drink. This month, Sweet Market is participating in a $4.12 deal on their dessert drinks, so I knew I had to try one. There are a couple tables and chairs in front of the store to sit at if you did not want to take your treats to go. Overall, my experience here could not have been better. Cute little candy shop! Easy street parking that is free on weekends. My daughter picked out a huge marshmallow bunny pop that she said was really good and which she did not eat all in one sitting luckily. I got a Thai tea with tapioca pearls. Huge serving too! They have a great selection of candy Thar would make great gifts. They even have Betsy Ann chocolates! The cocoa and tea bombs are nicely packaged. I bought one as a gift. Most items cost around $5 and up. I'll probably try to come again just for the fun bubble tea and easy location. read more

I was more than pleased at the selection of candies, it was great to see the selection of retro candies, it brought back so many memories. I ordered some cake pops for my grandsons birthday which were a big hit and made the event special. They were ready when they said they would be and the overall service was fantastic.
