Mango Fried rice with Chicken was decent, mango was fresh and made the dish flavorful
    Edmund S.

We were in the area (actually for Mikes Bar and Grille) when we found out MB&G was closed for a Christmas party. We wandered down the street and saw another bar and grill which was closing in 15 min for another holiday event. This led us to the sweet mango.... It was immediate seating in a clean, small, and quaint dine in setting. Service was prompt and friendly. The setting was "okay" but not what is expected of a sit down casual restaurant. The immediate impression after sitting down was made when the water was brought out in Rubbermaid drink dispensers with a slice of lemon in each. The menu was quite robust and typical of a Thai/asian dining restaurant. The lunch combinations were typical fare. Unfortunately lime slices were $1 additional! Our table order the Pad Thai (with lime slices extra), Tempura veggies and shrimp, Mango fried rice, Orange chicken lunch box with wonton, Crispy Pad Thai, and Crab Rangoon. The tempura veggies were more like deep fried veggies and shrimp from a sports bar and overcooked. ( I asked for replacement onions and they gladly provided new ones). Crab Rangoon was heavy on the cream cheese, the ratio of filling to wrap was a little too much (great if you like it that way). The pad Thai (add protein for $- chicken) both traditional and crispy were okay/average...LOL the lime was needed (and should really be included) Mango Fried rice was decent , with fresh/ripe Orange Chicken was decent (not battered in usual Thai cuisine), the lunch box came with won ton, veggies ( fresh carrots and broccoli), and a small salad (Thai peanut dressing). All in a bento tray for serving. The Wonton side came with only one dumpling (we ordered another because my daughters split the lunch box. Pricing was fair, serving size was good (we had leftovers to take home). Gave this place a 3 star just because it was average and could use some improvement to the average food. I usually use the tempura as a gauge of what kind of food will be served, and it held up in this case. Average Tempura=average food. Service would be 4 star, very friendly, attentive, and polite. Setting would be 4 star because it was very clean with nice decor (could have been higher except for the water pitchers). Location was 4 because it was on main (Front Street) with very good parking availability. It's close to Baldwin Wallace University.

We had a very nice dinner at Sweet Mango. The location is on the triangle in Berea next to Cornerstone Brewing. The dining room is small (seating for maybe 30 people) but cozy. They offer hot teas, coffees, beer, and wine. The menu is pretty standard Thai fare and something for everyone. While we dined in we noticed many people stopping to pick up orders, so it looks like they do quite a bit of carry out business. Our dishes came out in a reasonable amount of time for how packed the dining room was, and the ingredients seemed to be very fresh. It was no problem to make modifications based on our preferences. Our server, whose name I didn't catch, was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. I always appreciate when the staff can answer questions and make recommendations. I definitely recommend Sweet Mango!

Wish I lived closer, would come here weekly. Pad Thai is probably my favorite in the Northeast Ohio and enjoyed the nice decor and atmosphere.

Basil fried rice, last meal before I die. The food is always delicious.service perfect

Wonderful, friendly service and great food! Drink- Server recommendation to order the Thai Ice Tea and it was a good choice! Wonderful tea flavor and wasn't too sweet! Decent price at $4. Food- Pad thai country style with ground chicken and a heat level of 3. Greatly priced at ~$12. Please note, level 3 of heat might not seem like a lot, but for someone who enjoys spicy food/siracha with almost all meals, level 3 was spicy enough. Not sure how anyone is able to enjoy the flavors of the dish with anything spicier!

    Crab Rangoon. Must try!

Instead of waiting in food truck lines we opted to go here for dinner while at a local festival. Great serendipity! They have an extensive Thai menu as well as many Asian choices. From Pad Thai to Curry to Noodles and soups. It's a small little place, understated and unassuming. Friendly staff greeted and seated us promptly. You get a big plastic jug to refill your water which was really kind of cute. The food was fabulous! 10/10 best I have had for some time. My daughter and I shared the Yellow Curry with Scallops and the Crispy Noodle Pad Thai with chicken. Plenty of food. The Crab Rangoon was TO DIE FOR. Cloud fluffy filling with super crispy and feather light wrapper. This is a must try. Service was good and there was lots of parking out front. Great dinner and experience.

Best crab rangoon. this charming little Thai restaurant is the perfect place to spend your Friday night. All the food exceeded my expectations. The crab Rangoon was fresh and fluffy like little crab clouds. yellow curry was the perfect mix of flavors and paired well with the fried rice. the pad Thai had crunchy noodles along with fresh veggies, and ample amount of chicken. I really would recommend this spot.

Pad Thai. Served with chicken, shrimp, and all the trimmings. Delicious and just the right amount to fill you up.

Been here quite a few times over the years. A small, quaint Thai restaurant on the Triangle in Berea. The decor is kinda plain compared to other Thai spots in the area, but it's serviceable. The food is where this place stands out. Ordered the Pad Thai this evening, and thought the serving size was a wee bit on the small side, but when I finished it, I was sufficiently full. Ordered mine with chicken and shrimp and it was very tasty. They also serve bubble tea here as well! This place is conveniently located right next door to Cornerstone Brewery, so come here for some healthy carbs and then ruin it with Berea's best craft beer! Highly recommend

So I grew up going here and hadn't been in awhile and I was craving curry and tha iced tea. Walked in and it wasn't busy, It was like two other tables in there and the vibe hadn't changed, it was peaceful in there. Got my Thai iced tea and loved it. Some people mess up Thai tea easily. The curry was really good broth, I was able to add corn too. But the meat chicken was a little dry and the veggies were undercooked. But i don't mind a little crunchy. I would still order Thai curry from here over and over. I also ordered summer rolls and I got egg rolls instead:)) and I told my waiter and he didn't do anything about it so I still ate them bc I realized he was never coming back. Not even to ask us how the food was lol but he was a little nervous from the beginning.. not sure why? He could've been new. Order was quite simple all I added was corn to my curry. But anyways, my boyfriend ordered mango fried rice with chicken and he wanted shrimp too but it only comes with one protein. So the waiter said they could give him a side of shrimp.. that little sauce dish you see in my picture was three pieces of cocktail shrimp but not as big loll and still got charged more. Didn't say anything because we just wanted to eat in peace and not complain. I will still come here for food because maybe it was just a bad day.. nice place to go eat if you're craving Thai because of how big the menu is.

    Home Sweet Home!

I must first tell you that I live in Michigan. My son lives in the Cleveland area. It is a non-negotiable in our family that each and every time I go to see him, we must eat at LEAST once from Sweet Mangoes in Berea. Basically, if you are within an hour drive of Berea and you DON'T go to Sweet Mangoes, I promise you will spend entirely too much of your life with almost debilitating FOMO, and deservedly so, because you have indeed Missed Out. The BEST American Thai food I have ever eaten, and I cannot overstate enough how much American Thai food I have eaten all over the country. I know it's totally different from what I would get in Thailand, and frankly it's so good, I don't care. First the Appetizers. I am a Crab Rangoon Addict. I have zero shame about this. I have tried every restaurant in my area for Crab Rangoon and have not, in 11 years since I found Sweet Mangoes, found a comparable Rangoon. Not even in the same orbit. Sweet Mangoes Crab Rangoon are little pockets of delectable crabby/cream cheese fluff that absolutely melt in your mouth. Save yourself the trouble. Order at least 2. And if you're with a group, I have found it's safest to just order one per person. It will save you lots of long-lasting family/friend disputes over who got more. Thank me later. Also, make SURE you get the Shrimp Summer Rolls (the peanut sauce....it is so hard not to lick the little bowl it comes in when it's gone), and the Steamed Pot Stickers. Don't worry if you can't eat it all in one sitting! Leftovers are phenomenal! I have ordered the Crispy Pad Thai each and every time I have been there since 2012. When you find perfection, don't bother with anything else. My friends and family, who I have forced to dine with me (some, fairly unwillingly at first, but all exceptionally grateful by the end) have, over the years, tried pretty much almost everything on the menu. I have never heard anything less than "My GAWD this is delicious!" Everything is ALWAYS fresh and cooked perfectly. I have never had mushy broccoli. If I'm dining in, I also get the Mango Bubble Tea. Best slushie with big, black chewable ball things you occasionally choke on you will ever have. The folks who work there are always phenomenal! They are efficient and effective and honest to god just generally really nice people! They have more staff now than they did for many years, but they somehow find the absolute sweetest people to work there! If you are still reading, I hope that you aren't also driving to Berea for Sweet Mangoes. Put your phone down and just get there already! Safety first!

All warned of the spice levels being REAL. I heeded caution while my mouth is not weak. A must, I got pad thai with chicken (any thai place that messes this up gets written off for me), pad woon sen with chicken, both at the base level spice, and their crab rangoon. I will preface that I did takeout and drove 20 mins home before I ate BUT considering that the food, the food was still hot and delicious. The pad thai had plenty of flavor, fresh veggies and green onions and the right sauce-you could taste the tamarind. The pad woon sen, while not what I'm used to with a darker sauce was delicious and had great spice, perfect sauce to coat all the goods and flavor. The crab rangoon comes in a spring roll form...which I'm not mad at but did make me want more filling to match the extra wrapper. The wrapper is also a different type of fried crunch that doesn't do the same as a wonton but again a vehicle, nonetheless. I definitely have it on my radar for the next time I'm in Strongsville. Small place in an unsuspecting plaza, which is always good, very little tables inside and a little on the dark side ambiance wise. But I don't care when the food lives up to it. If you're looking for flavor, you can't go wrong even on the mild end of the spice spectrum. Don't burn your mouth and miss the chance at tasting the authenticity.

This is more of a takeout spot with a few high top tables for inside seating. So, if you planned to have dinner there, there is no privacy as you can see the kitchen and checkout counter from the tables. No restrooms. Free parking. All orders are piping hot and served in plastic containers. Each order is packed as a to-go order (in plastic containers & in a plastic bag) even if you dine in. The cashier (possibly owner) is friendly and very talkative. They noted the place has been open since 2023 with hope to expand into a sit down restaurant. The food can be made to your spice level. However, keep in mind even the mild was spicy for us. Be careful. If you are vegan, just ask for an option. Generally, some items can be made without fish or oyster sauce if asked. The yellow curry was good, but a bit spicy for us. Decent portion size for $13.95 and comes with rice. Hope to try other dishes someday and will take them to go instead.

I took the recommendation of our server on dish and chose a nice spicy curry and was not disappointed. While it was not as spicy as I would have hoped, he told me how to order it hotter the next time. The flavor combinations and the depth of flavor was so amazing. Are crab Rangoon has outdone every other crab Rangoon I've ever had. At this point, I could name other places where I thought their crab Rangoon was amazing... And at this point they no longer even hold a candle. A nice hearty crab chunks mixed in with the cream cheese sauce and filling, and it's just to die for. The dessert of the sticky rice with mango was sweet and thick and filling and just rich beyond description. The lighting is soft and easy in the eyes, the colors on the walls are pleasant and pink and oranges and brown purples, sounds a pleasant to listen to everybody cooking in the music, while faster and hip-hop was not distracting. I quite enjoyed listening to it, listening to Thailand versions of American hits. It was quite an enjoyable experience all around. We look forward to coming back.

I walked in at 3:30 and of course the place is empty, Zoweee, all for me. They didn't notice me for the first two or three minutes and I guess they didn't hear all the bells that were ringing on the door either. But I was eventually greeted warmly, sat down immediately, given an ice cold perfect glass of water. I ordered the Summer Rolls appetizer which I always order by mistake cause I like the spring rolls which are fried little fingers of goodness. But the summer rolls came out in 45 seconds and they were just beautifully presented like always. They had plenty of noodles, Julienne vegetables and just enough cucumber pieces and shrimp pieces to get noticed. The description said basil mint, of which I did not see or taste. But plenty of hoisin sauce for drizzling. Then came the entree, Mango Paradise which was chicken pieces, three medium shrimp, a bevy of red bell peppers, green, bell peppers, snow pea pods, Julienne carrots, and I believe straw mushrooms all in a brown sauce that I shared with white jasmine rice. Absolutely delicious and it was served piping hot. Those of you that read me often know I am so tired of sending food back because it's cold, but the appetizer that was supposed to be cold came out cold and my entrée which was supposed to come out hot came out piping hot. I haven't been to this place in a while and usually I go for lunch so this was a new choice for me to dine. I was served the appetizer first, they didn't rush me, the entrée came out precisely as I finished the appetizer and then of course there was so much on that plate, I eventually got a Thai to go bag. From start to finish, this was a raving experience, and I mean that in the best of ways because I could rave on and on about every single bite I took. Anytime I've been there has not been a whole lot of people there and I don't get to Strongsville often. I certainly do hope if you like, if you LOVE Thai food , give this place a shot the very first second you have to spare. DON'T LET THE TEENY TINY PARKING LOT SCARE YOU ---it's beautiful inside it's authentic, the servers and the chef who brings out your food are authentic and they can cook for me anytime. Our entrées were visual, as well as gustatory feasts. The rice that accompanied our curries was moulded into a cone, which was unique in my experience. The mango curry came with chicken and shrimp and had a pleasant, mild flavor. I asked for my beef Panang curry medium hot and it came exactly that way. Usually I have to order it extra-hot to get it medium. We had sticky rice and mango and Thai custard for dessert. The sticky rice was a tad gluey and the mango could have been a smidge riper, but it was very tasty nonetheless. Neither of us had ever had Thai custard and it was interesting to say the least. It came like a small, flat loaf cut into four slices. It has pieces of taro in it and a very firm texture, but a pronounced eggy flavor. It was a pleasant surprise. Sweet, but not overly so, with a subtle flavor that was quite pleasant. Thai iced tea was the perfect accompaniment to a very nice luncheon.
