I had a great experience here, so this review will be a pleasure to write…read more I was here on a warm Tuesday afternoon. It's a nice and cozy gelato shop. Plenty of tables inside and out. I asked for a medium, and asked for a scoop of chocolate and espresso coffee. The nice young lady behind the counter said she can put a third flavor in a medium cup. Well, what should I get? Some flavors weren't available. I asked for mint chip. The young lady said the mint flavor is strong, and will probably over-power the other flavors. So, I went with the great combination of - chocolate, coffee and vanilla. She offered to dress up my gelato with chocolate drizzle and a wafer for free. This made for a great Yelp picture! Most place charge extra for a wafer and toppings. I grabbed a small table inside and slowly enjoyed my gelato. Very nice place, I'll come again! 2-hour free parking at the curb.

We got the California Pistachio and the Espresso Coffee gelato. The verdict - easily one of the best that I've ever had. Not cloyingly sweet and simply divine. Service was pleasant and quick. Not much in the way of ambiance, other than a few white tables and chairs inside. I can see why the place is so popular. It maybe well worth having a bit more seating area outside. This gelato place is worth a drive to San Carlos.

I had one poor experience, which is why I knocked off one star. As a Filipina, I was curious to try their Ube flavored drinks. I've had many elsewhere and I was very disappointed with the one I received. I understand it was a new item on the menu but frankly, the drink was gross... it didn't taste like Ube at all. It tasted like rancid, dirty ice water. I couldn't bring myself to drink more of it. I was involuntarily retching with any attempt to try it again. I normally speak directly to someone if something is off instead of resorting to yelp comments so that's what I did but the person at the register did not acknowledge what I had to say and he did not assure me of any systems in place to consider my feedback further. What I got was that "he never tried it" and "that's just how it tastes." I probably wouldn't have left this review if I wasn't left so disappointed with the interaction. I will continue to support the business because I understand that one bad drink is just that but I am nervous about ordering drinks from here again... All my other interactions and orders have been honestly stellar otherwise.

Service is fast. Not a lot of seating inside, but there are a couple additional small tables for 2-4 people outside on the patio. Chose the cheapest item on the menu, which was the taro ube sago for $7.95 before tax. Honestly, it's pretty hard to mess up taro ube sago, so at best, I'd say it only meets the standard. It was more of a dessert soup than a pudding, which is what I expected. Serving size definitely way too small for the portion amount, even if you say the glass jar itself costs ~$2 (and that feels like a generous estimate). I've made an entire pot of taro sago that served 15 people that cost about $8 in raw ingredients. Personally don't see the value in coming back, but if you're looking for Chinese desserts in a pinch, then this place does the job.
