Who knew water in pools needed to be started up too :-), which apparently is a week long process to ensure the chemical balance needed for healthy water and pool longevity. We called several pool maintenance company's and Karlo's company and he stood out from all whom we spoke to. Right from the first call, he was educated us on the start up process, what it would take and what to expect. He showed up on time, promptly when needed on day 0 when the pool was prepped and water was needed to be filled. He not only did his work but explained the whole process, taught us about the different chemicals and the different tests that were needed, always educating us on the process rather than just doing it. He showed up promptly every day of the whole start up process and ensured that the pool was filled, water height correct, equipment set and working, explained the parts of the pool. He educated us on water chemistry and pool maintenance at each step of the way. Karlo now maintains our pool, his pool service uniquely comes with an underwater vacuum to ensure the pool floor is always clean. He is good friends with both our large dogs who took an immediate liking to him and is one of the very few people that can go with no one at home, into our backyard to the pool with both the dogs who enjoy his company. Trying to keep this brief for my own time. From January to March I was supposed to spend 160 a month on pool cleaning, but pool was still dirty. So they charged an additional 120 in February for extra chemicals because I had a difficult pool. But end of March pool had a lot of algae and looked like it wasn't even being brushed. They wanted another $360 in more chemicals. This would bring my YTD to $960, averaging $320 a month instead of the agreed $160 per month, but the big problem was pool was dirty! I'm not paying 320 a month to have a green pool. Maybe if the pool was clean and they came to me asking to adjust the rate that would work. But I can't keep paying extra fees to have a dirty pool. The pool was so bad my new pool service had to charge an extra fee to get the pool started. They couldn't believe I had an active pool service. La pool guys had in fact been there earlier that week. Oh I forgot they did a filter cleaning duirng this time which I requested because pool flow was getting low. After the filter clean, pool flow was still low and pressure was at 20. They told me that's normal. Had to pay another service to come out. They cleaned it and got pressure down to 10 and a good flow. They said it looked like no cleaning was done. So add that to the money wasted this year. Other problems: They skipped cleanings without letting me know (holidays, rainy day, etc.) Only when I noticed the pool was dirty and asked about it, they would confirm they skipped last week. I need to be told when skipping weeks so I can clean the pool myself or make alternative arrangements. Requested service for an equipment issue. Their tech came and went and said they fixed it, but checked it and nothing was done and the same problem existed. Had to call a different pool service for repair and wasted time

We didn't really notice how bad the service was because we had a new born and we're busy with other things. Service: They would come and service our pool for 4-7 minutes, we have video proof that they came in threw in chemicals, poorly brushed our pool. There were some weeks where they wouldn't show up and still charge us for services. They never, NOT ONCE ever recommended anything, it wasn't until I made mention that the pool seemed off that they recommended other services. As a service provider it's important they let the client know what can be done to keep the pool in better condition. Breaking point: We asked to have the main filter cleaned out because the pool was looking so bad, so they did it... we noticed that DE kept coming into the pool, they did try to remedy the problem but it took too long to fix. Finally they found out that the gasket was worn out so we needed a new one, after they replaced the gasket the pump went out. It wasn't until we noticed and contacted them that they said anything about it. Yet again another example where we had to bring up an issue they caused. Come to find out the pump gave out - I found it odd that it had been working well before they fixed the gasket and then it wasn't. Thank God I have home warranty because that mistake would have cost us $2,300-$3,000 dollars! Finally we get the pump fixed and everything gets put back to order, the following cleaning schedule, we walk outside to find a dead bird on our new TURF. We let Danny know about it and said that the technician said it was already there. The bird is still clearly wet in the pictures. All I needed him was to apologize and we could have moved past it, but he doubled down and basically called us liars. Communication: M & M pools never advised us when something was wrong, it was always us reaching out to them. Although they were always professional they never owned up to the issues addressed. I would NEVER recommend this provider to anyone.
