My fella picked up four delicious cupcakes while I waited in the car reading about Charles Whitman (I know). How can I not be smitten with this guy?! My fella, not Whitman. Two Biscoff, a carrot/spice, and a red velvet. The Biscoff were topped with a light whipped icing and filled with cookie butter. Divine!! The carrot (maybe spice) and red velvet were equally delicious, but I have an unhealthy obsession with Biscoff. Both were filled with a nice, whipped cream cheese filling and topped with a delicious icing. They were so light and so decadent at the same time, I could've gobbled them all down at once, but I remained demure. Next visit I'll have to walk over so I can earn them!

They have a good amount of slices and individual goodies that you can purchase. The owner/cashier was very nice and told they just hit over a year of being open. The cakes are beautiful. I got the biscoff cheesecake and biscoff cake slice. We love those biscoff cooking in my household. When I gor home I opened the cheesecake to take a picture and the smell hit me! It took everything in me not to eat the cheesecake right then. I need that smell as an air freshener. I am glad that I stopped by.

The sunrise cupcake was divine, super bright with lemon zest and their cakes and cupcakes are kind of dense but suuuper moist, very decadent treats. My matcha was love at first sip, I foolishly ordered the small but I could have chugged a large (and I will, next visit) Can't wait to go back and try any of their huge cinnamon rolls. Also, you can order just buttercream by the pound and lordy I might just eat it by the spoonful or make some grown up dunkaroos with the buttercream and some thin cookies.

I ordered a red velvet graduation cake from Buttercream Bakery in San Antonio for my nephew's…read moregraduation celebration. The cake was beautifully decorated and looked exactly like something you'd be excited to serve at a special event. Unfortunately, the taste was a completely different story. When the cake was cut, the red velvet layers appeared discolored and uneven in color, with some sections looking dull and brownish rather than the rich red color you would expect. The cake itself had an off flavor that was difficult to ignore, lacking the classic mild cocoa and tangy notes of red velvet. It was not velvety at all. It tasted OVERLY salty and left an unpleasant aftertaste. The frosting looked fine and had a smooth texture, but it was also noticeably salty and did not have the creamy, slightly tangy flavor typically associated with cream cheese frosting. Multiple guests commented on the SALTY flavor, and several people did not finish their slices. One thing I've always appreciated about Gordon Ramsay's approach to food is his reminder that presentation means very little if the food doesn't taste good. A chef or baker should taste what they're serving. A beautiful cake can impress people for a moment, but flavor is what people remember. Graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and I was disappointed that the cake became a topic of conversation for the wrong reasons. The appearance was excellent, but the taste did not meet expectations. I hope Buttercream Bakery takes this feedback seriously and places as much emphasis on flavor as they do on presentation. I paid over $200 for this cake. They offered me an e-gift card of $100. I don't live in San Antonio. I could give it away to my family here, but I made the payment!

I think they just need to fine-tune them decorating. It's an expense for a wedding cake and then the flowers look kind of wilted falling down and I don't know the colors didn't seem to match right? This will be the last cake purchase. Eight years of buying cakes??

My daughter told the girl her concern about the writing as well as it being centered, The girl response was that she couldn't do it. My daughter is not conversational. She's only 20 and she respects her elders. I was on the phone so I couldn't go in there to correct the problem being that I paid $95 for a cake with chicken scratch handwriting. I immediately called up there the girl at first tried to make it seem like someone else had wrote it also told me my daughter said it was OK and then when my daughter starts speaking and said no, I did it. I told you , you said you couldn't fix it then she went on to tell me the truth and just say oh well it will take a long time but if I came back up there, she'll fix it. We stay away in Converse, Texas, Lettys is on Fredericksburg. Why do I have to drive my gas back over there for you to try to fix the cake? This is the day of her birthday. We have prior arrangements and why would you say you can't fix it but now you can fix it. The girl told me she'll call me back to see what we could come up with. She never called back. I called talk to the owner. I believe she shows me a half cut video of the girl closing up the box not the full conversation that her and my daughter had when my daughter mentioned to her that she wanted the writing fixed. So since she only gave me half of the video because my daughter was being nice and respectful with the girl and they were talking, she felt like my daughter was OK with the cake. No ma'am, she needs to post a video of the whole interaction when my daughter first walked in. She's really trying to insult my intelligence. From the cut video to offering me $15 back . $15 is crazy.

Who wants edible paper as the main decoration on their cake? Even with pictures as references and discussions as what we did and didn't want, they went with the 'didn't want option' Not only was decoration sub par, so was the cake itself. Cake and cupcakes were mostly dry. Lots of the frosting was grainy. The main cake was ordered to be the lemon filling was fresh and tart when we went for the tasting, but tasted like lemon jello pudding in the end product. The knot work was asked to be part of the frosting (see the picture) either ask piping, fondant, or painted on...but not edible paper?!? It wasn't even applied well. You can see the gaps of where the paper isn't touching but also see the frosting used to attach it is also visible. The ivy is lacking details and also rough cut and you can see the rough edges. The Korik masks were supposed to fondant so they could be picked up and be just the masks...not printed on a disk of edible paper. The mushrooms were supposed to be on 'moss' (like colored shredded coconut) but was just green frosting...exactly what we said we didn't want. The gnomes hats didn't match colors, and their face, nose and beards were all the same white...grainy frosting and missing the decoration in their beards...and the beards were messy also. 1 out of 10. Would not recommend if you want what you ask for that isn't a BIG GRAND cake
