Soooo impressive and delicious!…read more A couple of my friends eloped and when they came home for Christmas, we had a little impromptu wedding party for them. It was sooo last minute and during the holidays so I was very nervous about finding a quality cake. After searching the internet and reading reviews, I reached out to Alba. She promptly emailed me back and asked for photos of what I wanted. What I originally sent her was incredibly ornate. She politely let me know that because of the holidays, she wouldn't be able to do exactly what I sent but she was confident she could make me something I was pleased with. I didn't have time or options so I agreed and paid up. Pick up was super easy as Alba is a fantastic communicator. The cake was beautifully boxed and easy to transport. She was reasonably priced for the level of detail and size of cake. After receiving and tasting the cake, I think she could be charging more. Once we unboxed the cake, we were all AMAZED! It turned out so cute and though it wasn't the level of detail I originally asked for, she exceeded the expectations that she set! I will absolutely be using Alba for all of my decorative cake needs.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Kelly, as I arranged for a friend to pick up the order for me when it was ready. But wow! I was completely blown away when I opened that box and saw the shoe cake toppers. It was exactly what I had wanted and my boyfriend was so impressed with the design once I finally surprised him with his birthday cake! We still haven't even eaten them and refuse to throw them away. Kelly's attention to detailing was spot on and was very reasonably priced as well. Her talent is unmatched and I am glad to have found someone for all of my future baking needs. Not only did they come through, but the whole experience was genuinely amazing from start to finish. Daniela was incredible to work with; super friendly, thoughtful, and patient. She took the time to answer all my questions and really made me feel like my order mattered. That kind of care is rare, especially when you're asking for something last-minute, and I was so grateful. The cake itself was perfect. Exactly what we had discussed in terms of design, colors, and flavor. The buttercream had this light lemon note that was just the right amount of sweet,it was delicious! Everyone at the celebration was impressed, and more importantly, my wife absolutely loved it! On top of all that, they delivered it right on time, which made everything feel so smooth and stress-free. I almost always scrape it off when I have a piece of cake. I was so pleasantly surprised when we tasted our samples! Their buttercream is smooth and not overly sweet. We tried 8 different flavors of cake and filling and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch! It was actually difficult to narrow down our favorites. We ended up picking the Ultimate Chocolate and Orange Creamsicle. Both were a big hit with our guests and we had people telling us they wished for leftovers the next day! As for the design, the picture speaks for itself. The cake was stunning. I had a phone conference with Daniela to discuss what I wanted the cake to look like and when I arrived at the venue it was EXACTLY how I imagined it! I highly recommend Glace!

Very few can do both and in the same confection like Sara's Sweets can. I had the pleasure to view and consume one of these creations at a special boy's birthday party today and I was blown away. The guest of honor is a serious angler who fishes at every opportunity. Of course, he wanted fishing gear for his gifts and of course, he wanted a cake with a fishing theme. Did I mention this guy just turned nine? One of Sara's lovely bakers delivered this amazing 2-tiered cake with a photo-realistic, edible, white chocolate, 5 pound bass attached to the top, frozen in mid-lunge toward a lure. All of the party guests were agog and the young fisherman was duly touched that his mom delivered so well on his request. When it came time to cut the cake, I fully expected it to be another gorgeous but not worth the calorie consumption dessert to which I have no trouble saying, "No thanks!" However, I had a taste and quickly changed my tune. The vanilla cake had a lovely, light texture and the interior vanilla bean buttercream was simply irresistable - smooth, buttery, and with a slightly spiced flavor that made it much more interesting than the typical after-thought frostings underneath fondant. Oh, fondant. I usually throw that chalky, tasteless stuff straight in the trash, but this one was somehow delicious. What kind of intoxicant are you putting in this fondant, Sara? If you have a special occasion coming up and need an amazing themed cake, call Sara. You and your guests will not be disappointed.
