Sweet block is this amazing place where you can get fresh fruit bowls or smoothies im pineapples or watermelons or just cups... but if I go I hav to get it intro fruit just for the look. They have an extensive menu of fruit based smoothies and bowls such as pina coladas and mangonadas and the customer service matches the energy that the drinks give! Every-time I go in there they are smiling and I go in with a lot of energy and they return it!

I ordered the mangonada but I forgot to say I wanted the chamoy off(I know, sue me). She replaced my order with my request without any issue. The mangoes were so fresh and the whole mangonada was tasty! I wished I got another one for home lol. The coquito frappe tasted so good! It was like a frozen horchata with whipped cream. It didn't last more than 4 minutes in the car. The ladies were sweet, and the area was clean. It felt like a cute hole in the wall spot. I couldn't gatekeep with this level of service.

12/10 !! I 100% LOVE their juices. Customer service is excellent! I have been at least once a month for the past few months, the remember who I am & what I like TOP TEIR. Definitely recommend !

Lime colada? It was delicious and I'm craving it now.

The atmosphere is a bit lacking but it's the only business like this in the area. We visited once because we were on a mangolada kick. For whatever reason, we didn't order a mangolada lol. Instead we ordered a lime coconut/colada drink which was absolutely delicious. It was lime-y but not sour, sweet but well balanced. The consistency was nice and creamy. My son loved the little umbrella hat. I'd definitely recommend this place for tropical tasty drinks.

If you want some authentic latino sweets this is the place to go! The mangonadas are to die for! Then the Esquite was good! Going to go whenever I have the chance!

Awesome desserts using high quality fruits, with a lovely presentation. As high or low calorie choices as you want, with savory and sweet options on the menu. Healthy by definition! And super friendly staff.

Having the coquito frappe (coconut) and couldn't wait to write this 5-star review. Tastes great! Happy 1-year birthday Sweet Block team.

It's made with lavender matcha ice cream which was really tasty but more on the lavender side than matcha. I also tried the Takeout sundae if you like a salty sweet combo this is it. My favorite part is the creative ice cream flavors. Where else can you find cantaloupe or Old Bay ice cream? And they're delicious too! I went with friends on a quiet Thursday night. The interior is bright, spacious, and funky! I love the creative decorations. They had about 10 ice cream flavors available. I had to try a couple because they were so unique! Baklava, saffron, old bay, cantaloupe, and more! They had classics as well like chocolate and mint. A single scoop was $6 and was a good size. I got the baklava and WOW. I'm a huge baklava fan and this was incredible. I don't know how they mixed real, delicious chunks of baklava in the honey ice cream without it getting soggy or mushy, but they did and it was amazing! A friend got their dark chocolate and it might be the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had- I'm look at you Ben and Jerry! Some other nice touches- the spoons change color with different temperatures! So fun to watch your spoon change when it sits in the ice cream. They were also selling shirts to support the local elementary school. They have new flavors each season, so make sure you come in and try more! I can't wait to see what else they make!

They're located on Georgia right next to Denizens, and It's kind of in the cut and hard to see (well it was for me). If you're coming in from East-West Highway (pro tip: don't if you're driving, the parking there is restricted and they tow) you have to walk down stairs between the 1830 building and Denizens to find it. They allow one party in the building at a time. My boys and I went in and the young man immediately asked if we were just using the restroom or also getting ice cream-- I doubt they have public restrooms but I was on a trot after 3 hours out-- and when he realized we were getting ice cream, he didn't allow anyone in until we came out of the bathroom, ordered and left. Very safe. Their ice cream is clean, delicious, and their flavors are unique. I tried honey lavender and It was SOOO good until the very end ( I ate a bit of lavender and didn't taste anything else til I was done). The boys' strawberry ice cream was delicious and NOT pink- we avoid red dyes so this was exactly what we were looking for. The sugar cones are just the right size for the small children and they don't overstuff the cones a la Brusters and Ben and Jerry's. These are just right in size and price for kids. They didn't have a "kids cone" option per se (but I didn't ask) we just did a single scoop. That's one thing I'd like- a cake cone (smaller) with a kid sized scoop. As ir was, I got a scoop and a half helping the 3 year old finish. The 6 year old inhaled it in 2 minutes so it's just about right! Overall it's close to home, easy to get to once you know it's there and had great service plus AWESOME ice cream. I cannot wait to try the ginger, coconut, and wild blueberry! Lo

I recently picked up a small Lemon cake and a Strawberry cake from Morning My Day in Silver Spring…read more I was expecting a decent dessert; I wasn't expecting to be reminded that most other bakeries have been lying to us for years. The first bite was a bit of a shock to the system. It's one of those rare "Ratatouille moments" where a flavor profile manages to bridge the gap between Maryland and the legendary sponge cakes of Phoenix Bakery in LA. It's a bit of a trick, really--making something taste like a childhood memory without being cloying about it. The Breakdown: * The Sponge: It's exceptionally light. Biting into it is less like eating a dense dessert and more like biting into a sweetened, high-end pillow. It's airy, delicate, and possesses the kind of structural integrity that only a professional (or a wizard) could manage. * The Icing: A triumph of restraint. Instead of the usual sugary plaster one finds elsewhere, this is a light, white cream. It's sweet enough to let you know it's there, but it doesn't try to dominate the conversation. It's icing with a bit of dignity. * The Verdict: This is how cake ought to be. It's exquisite, technically brilliant, and far too easy to eat in a single sitting. If you appreciate a dessert that relies on craft rather than a massive dose of corn syrup, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's a legit bit of baking excellence right here in Silver Spring
