Amazing cake! Not only was the cake adorable but it also tasted amazing! The owner did a beautiful job with my flamingo theme and I loved the champagne and marble flavors. When you cut into the cake, you could smell it. So good and so worth it!

Red velvet and strawberry shortcake cupcakes, very yummy! So fresh and delicious.

I ordered strawberry shortcake and red velvet cupcakes for my mom's memorial and they were so fresh and delicious. They even delivered which was great! I highly recommend Sweet Art Cakes. They're customer service and cupcakes are fantastic! I will purchase from them again and recommend to friends and family.

This is just one of the few cakes they've made for my family. Thank you, Sweet Art Cakes. And P.S., Luis is always a pleasure to work with.

    The cake looks so cute!

Don't know why this place is getting a bad rep, but I've always had great experience with Sweet Art Cakes and their cake design is always on point. While other cake shops refused to take my order 10 days before the party, SAC did not hesitate! Staff was a very sweet man. I'm sure he was the owner, but I ordered an Ice Cream themed cake and it came out just like the picture I showed him. AND, he didn't need to use fondant! I will continue supporting his business during this crazy time.

I did not have a chance to comment about sweet art cake. They did a good job for my wedding cake and my baby shower cake. The cake look good from the inside to the outside. Thank you so much sweet art cake. From the Castillo Family

I was so excited to get my 60th Bday cake from Sweet Art Cakes, but was let down at the end result. During my consultation I specifically told him that I wanted the cake to look like an explosion of colorful flowers like lLilys ,Iris', the like. I did not want it to look like a cake. He asked if roses would be ok and a said a couple only and no red roses. He gave me NOTHING but Roses! Not what I wanted. The colors were great but I did not want a flat cake with just a bunch of roses. When it was delivered to the event center, I told the delivery guy it was wr ok ng, and nothing but lip service. One layer of the cake was not the flavor I ordered. I called him, talked to him and he said he would compare what he did to the picture that I selected from and call me back, but NO call back. For $465.00, I would expect better service and to get what I ordered. I will not be back since I can't trust him to give me what I paid for. Disappointed!

I've ordered so many different cakes from here since my wedding day and Luis is the best. There has been times when I've ordered with only 2 days notice and they still do awesome worl

We found this place by accident. The original baker we went to was closed and we found this place by Google search. We were greeted by an older woman who was very nice and professional. We told her what we wanted, by wen; she gave us samples to try and we choose the pistachio with raspberry filling cake. We showed her the design we wanted and she helped us improve on the design without making the cake look too busy. I opted to purchase a fondant topper off Etsy because I thought it was super cute and wanted to have the topper to my preference. They are hard to get a hold of but nevertheless return calls. So be patient or go in person. The day of the shower my cute was beautiful. Delicious. Everyone was impressed and I couldn't have been happier. The price of the cake seemed fair for the design, size and everything. I was pleased and would definitely recommend.

Delicious and professional! The cake came with our venue and our cake tasting was fun and they were able to create the exact cake i wanted off of a photo. Cake was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend and will use again.

Clearly NOT Pink Champagne! And the portion eaten was actually LESS than this! I cut a lil bigger for photo.

I really hate that I even had to give this a 1star to write the review. So I opted to buy my friends cake for her 1st Baby Shower. I wanted everything to be perfect for the occasion. I found Sweet Art Cakes on Yelp and decided to give the Upland store a call. I spoke with Quincy, who was more than helpful and enthusiastic to help with the occasion. His enthusiasm is actually what sold me on the place. The day of the shower, I was happy to present my cake gift to my friend. Unfortunately, when the 1st cut was made, I saw right away that this was not the cake I ordered. Originally ordered was a Pink Champagne Cake with Strawberry Cream filling... Yummy, right? What I got was Pistachio Cake with Strawberry Cream filling! How do you mix up a cake pink in color for one that's GREEN?!? To make matters worse, my friend and her family are ALL allergic to nuts! I literally just paid $100 for a cake that people couldn't eat!!!! Literally, 3, yes 3 slices were eaten! (I had to make a run to Costco to save the day!) I took photos of the cake and double checked the order form and confirmed what I had ordered. I thought "No big deal, I'll just call the store and it'll get sorted out." WRONG! I called the Upland store and the girl instructed me to email the photos and she would get back to me. I spoke with the girl and emailed the photos on Tues morning. By Thurs I hadn't heard from anyone so I started calling the store. That place MUST have caller ID because I called over a dozen times throughout their business hours and NO one answered. Finally on Friday, I received a call from Quincy, who was as polite as ever. He calmed me down from my initial state. However, then he informed me that he was authorized to either refund me 15% of the purchase or a free cake for a future occasion. WTF?!? 1. If you already messed up one cake for a special occasion, why would I allow you to do it again?! 2. 15% off a cake that NO ONE could eat?!? I didn't mess the order up! I ordered exactly what I wanted and paid for! They messed up! I could understand if it was something minimal that was messed up, like the decorations for example. But the CAKE?!? THE ACTUAL CAKE?!? A cake that the entire family was allergic to?!? Quincy explained that was all he was authorized to give. So, next option: Call the Pomona store... Which I did. I spoke with Luis that same Friday. He said to call back the following Tues. Why it couldn't be resolved Fri, I have no idea. I spoke with Luis the following week and told him that 15% off a cake that NO ONE could eat is unacceptable! He asked what I thought would make me happy. Now, I'm a reasonable person, so I said 50% refunded would suffice. He said he couldn't do that because the cake was "used". I reiterated that the family was allergic to the cake and only 3 slices had been eaten! He, again, stated the cake was used. So I asked, "Well, then, what are you offering me?" He said "I can give you 25% off." WTF?!?! You mean to tell me, I just payed $75 for 3 slices of cake?!?! I told him, if that was all he was offering, I'd take it. I'm definitely NOT happy about it. Overall, with the exception of Quincy, it has been a horrible experience. I just wanted everything to be perfect for my friends 1st child. She didn't even want a decorative cake, I did! She was happy with a Costco cake... Which is what I ended up having to purchase anyway the day of! Save yourself the trouble and choose another bakery, it's not worth the headache or the run around!

I paid 280.00 for a custom pirate cake that fed 70 people. The cake looked awesome and everybody complimented me in it, but as for the taste of the cake . . . Well let's just say it won't be winning any tasting contests. Disclaimer: Looks great Taste average

I ordered a cake from the Pomona location for my nieces quinceañera. I sketched out the design on paper, and they brought it to life! It turned out amazing! Exactly what we wanted! They delivered the cake to the venue prior to the start of the party. Excellent service and the pricing all depends on the design of what you want, how big, etc. I would highly recommend. Not only did it look good but it tasted good too. Two thumbs up!

Some Crust on the Claremont Village is still my go-to place for specialty cakes…read more I ordered a 65th birthday cake for my coworker a week ago Tuesday in person. Devin helped me to fill out the order form. It's a 9 inch round black and white cake, with raspberry jam filling and buttercream frosting. My coworker is stylish and always has her hair makeup and nails perfect so I thought elegant with pink and white roses. (The gold Happy Birthday candle I added for 3D effect and was not included.) I scheduled for 7 a.m. pickup today. There was the usual morning rush at the bakery but I was still in and out of there within 15 minutes. It turned out great!! My coworker was super happy and as always the cake itself is moist and delicious, not overly sweet. Well done, Some Crust, and thank you!

They sent us several mock-ups with colors and design styles throughout the process so we could see and approve of every little detail. We did two rounds of tastings (one at the shop and another at home) and coordinating the second round to finalize our flavors was super easy. Also, they coordinated directly with our florist to incorporate live flowers that perfectly matched the butter cream florals on the cake and the flowers on my dress. Another bakery (Cucamonga Cakery... yikes) told us this would be impossible and tried to make us feel dumb for wanting it. Some Crust made it happen EASILY. They brought our vision to life and the cake was seriously stunning! And the taste is so light and fresh! Special shoutout to Gabrielle for her quick responses, positive attitude, and overall amazing service throughout the entire process. She took care of us every step of the way. Thank you!!

My wife clearly stated she needed a gluten free cake. Hours later, the business owner sent a follow-up text, even though the dietary requirement had already been discussed. After we sent the deposit, which was described as non-refundable, an additional $15 charge was suddenly added. I explained there was a misunderstanding and that we would rather not move forward. Instead of handling it professionally, the owner became defensive and dismissive. During the call, we were spoken to in a condescending and hostile tone. I responded in a condescending tone to match theirs, and the owner abruptly hung up. After the call, the owner later sent a text instructing us not to contact the business again, even though we had not called or texted back. The deposit was refunded, but the way the situation was handled was completely unprofessional. This was never about the additional $15. It was about honesty, transparency, and professionalism. Instead of acknowledging the misunderstanding, the owner doubled down, deflected blame, and personally attacked a customer. Even more concerning is that the owner's response tries to attack my character publicly instead of addressing the facts. They brought up a dealership review from eight years ago, which was simply about negotiating a vehicle purchase, to claim we "bully" businesses. This is irrelevant and clearly an attempt to discredit us rather than take responsibility. Based on this experience, it is clear that accountability does not exist at this business, and that they are more focused on trying to silence or detract from what occurred than taking responsibility. Readers can decide for themselves. Update: Additionally, after I responded to the original reply, the business owner edited their response and changed the story, context, and accusations in an apparent effort to further discredit me. I have attached screenshots showing the original version of the post for transparency. Update 2: The business owner previously responded by publicly sharing my private information. I reported the comment to Yelp, and Yelp removed it after determining it fell outside their Content Guidelines. In my opinion, publicly sharing a customer's private information is unacceptable.
