The second visit was for a chocolate bar making class. We had the same instructor, which was great, and this time he had another candy maker helping because there were almost twice as many people. Together they managed a very excited group of children beautifully. I went on a similar field trip here about two years ago, where instead of making the bars ourselves, we filled out little menu cards choosing our toppings and type of chocolate, and the staff made them for us while we went on a tour. Personally, I preferred that setup. This time, the toppings were left completely up to the kids, which led to a few of them putting their hands in the bowls instead of using the spoons provided. I understand that isn't Sweet Pete's fault and falls more on the parents' supervision, but it did affect the overall experience for me.
