Sales are amazing! I love the sales! You can get the kit at up to 50% (or more if you are lucky) and when they do a sale, it means all of the stock they had in store, not only the very old staff they have had in the warehouse for ages. Customer service is also really good. All the sales assistants are willing to help whatever you need a new size, you want to try something on or pay. And if they don't have the item in stock, they always check if it is available in other shops or on-line so your shopping experience is more pleasant.

As an American, I loved seeing T.K. Maxx in person!…read more I knew that T.J. Maxx in the UK is called T.K. Maxx, and I was so excited to finally see it with my own eyes. The assortment of inventory is very different compared to the US, and honestly, it's not as good LOL. Also, if anyone knows the "No tag" rule at all TJX Company stores in the US. Whenever you would like to purchase something that doesn't have a tag, they try to give you the best possible price for an item that's comparable to the item. The same thing happened to me with a bracelet, and they tried to charge me 15 pounds for a bracelet that's worth 4. There were many cheaper ones all around, but of course they picked the most expensive one. . . I had to drop a star for that, but otherwise it was a cool touristy experience.

Opened in March 2007, the Regent Street location is London's first Collection of Style (COS). Whilst I still haven't properly figured out their sizing (I consistently have to take two of every item into the fitting room to get it right), I continue to love COS - particularly for dresses and accessories. At the moment about half the store is on sale so it's a nice to time to get your Nordic fashion fix. Neon lovers: orange is figuring prominently in a lot of the current collection. I stuck to more muted tones with my purchases but I admire ladies who can rock super brights. My BFF picked up a terrific large checked scarf (as well as an oatmeal coloured rolled hem jumper for her boyfriend.) I spotted a blue/grey leather colour block clutch that I very nearly bought to avoid trying to DIY my own. Given I'm still thinking about it, I'll probably have to go back and fetch it at some point. There are plenty of basics here but if you desire to be more daring, they've got that too. Think coated linen sculptured dresses, glued seams, waxed linen shrunken shirts, bold statement necklaces. COS may well be the only store in London I can't manage to leave empty handed.

B1866 is British saddle maker Brooks' first ever retail shop, opened in November 2013. If you're a…read morecycling enthusiast, chances are you've heard of Brooks. Founded in - you guessed it - 1866, Brooks are most famous for their leather saddles but have now started to branch off into other products too, such as retro-styled panniers. Personally I'm a huge fan of their ethos and sprung saddles at least: the hefty spring-loaded B33 saddle that sits atop my Dutch city bike is easily the most comfortable saddle I've ever owned. I also love how every bit of their saddles can be replaced.with perfectly affordable spare parts. That, indeed, is how I've dealt with B1866: obtaining a new spring and chassis for my B33, a task that had been beyond London's bike shops for a year or so, leaving my saddle unused. B1866 however obtained the parts quickly, and their relatively accessible opening hours made the parts convenient to pick up. Later, I dropped by for a couple of saddle covers for my B33 and I found the staff as helpful and friendly as ever. Inside, B1866 is predictably packed with their entire range of saddles and more, including several limited edition products. I haven't had much time to peruse their other offerings but I can certainly say that everything is neatly and stylishly laid-out. This, plus the Seven Dials location with its cobble streets, gives the whole shop an appropriately retro yet timeless air. Indeed, that plus the friendly service makes it also worth visiting even if you're not in the market for a Brooks product, or at least, you don't think you are...
