They have all the top brands of sports wear, trainers, training tops, jackets etc and it is a complete jumble sale.... I guess it is a very competitive market place these days and by the looks of things these guy's are the cheapest. It is complete madness in the store as it gets loads of people clambering to pick up a bargain but for 10 minutes of hell it might just be worth it.

I went there a few days ago to buy a pair of football boots for my son's birthday. I walked in and saw a complete mass of clothes all squeezed on rails, looked like a stock room. Could just about push my small pram through there, how on earth could a person in a wheelchair get in there?!. Took 10 minutes to find a member of staff to tell me where the boots were(basement), another 10 minutes to find the lift (was misdirected and ended up having to circle around the whole ground floor again!)and another 10 minutes to find anyone in the basement to help me. I'm not an expert on football boots, i knew what type of pitch he played on and trusted that i would get the best advice. Got home, showed my husband and dad first and they came up with the same answer - they're the wrong ones!. Next day, went back for a refund and told that they now only offer exchanges or gift vouchers. First time i was told this! The manager came and finger pointed at the company's latest new policy on returns and exchanges (which now only applies in store not online), printed on a small scrappy piece of paper and sellotaped on the desk! She looked confused as to why i had not seen it before? maybe it was because it was so small even a pair of socks would have covered it, never mind a shoe box! or maybe the lady didn't explain or finger point at it before i handed over my card?! A simple clear sign up on the wall behind the desk, like most shops, would have got my attention and made me fully aware of the company's new policy before i bought the boots. Will never go there again, it was a complete joke.

I am an amateur runner just starting out but they also seem to cater for all runners including the much more advanced than me! They also have a rather impresive running machine that they can film you to chech your running style. I then took them to the store for a return. They refused on the basis that I should have screwed them tight before wearing them, being utterly oblivious to the fact that the boots were not fit for purpose when we bought them. If I was supposed to screw them tight before wearing them, why did the shop assistant not ask me to do this? Better still, why didn't they do it as they checked the boots' size before we bought them. It would have taken no more than 30 seconds. And best of all why doesn't the factory (Adidas) make them so they are actually screwed in properly. I will never walk into to this dreadful shop ever again.

A mecca of own-brand + nice branded items for all sorts of athletic pursuits from walking and running to cycling, yoga, all sorts of sportsball apparatus, etc. for women, men, & children. It's a bit like a Lidl, but nicer, for sporty stuff. When shopping for a helmet and lock for my new foray into biking in the city, the cycling department staff were really helpful and kind. Even though I had lots of questions, they happily helped. Each department seems to have knowledgeable staff. Prices here are great. Very affordable and incredibly competitive. The store is quite big, spread over 2 floors. My only complaint is the checkout staff seem to always be aloof and the opposite of the helpful staff from the rest of the store. But, apart from that, I think this shop is a keeper.

Not only because its better for your body health but also because it gives you peace of mind. The peace of mind you need after a hard days work as a career woman and a mother. Their clothes are comfy and really fashionable, they have in mind every shape and size of woman. Most of their collections come in regular, long or short length, and they have in a stock a jersey trouser than you can trim to your desired length with scissors and it will never ever fray. The Alex roll-down pant (£39) have snuggle fit and are ideal for yoga, traveling or relaxed weekends. Finally, what really makes this brand unique and more than just clothes, is their offering of running clubs. Basically, a group of women meet at the shop at a specified time (6:30pm on tuesday) and have a qualified trainer leading them in a warm up and then a brisk walk or run. You can join for FREE all you need is the motivation to be there, and a good pair of trainers. I am joining the club, and after 10 times I can have hal price on pair of trainers. (Ace!)

Since then I've returned many times for skiing related purchases. Skiing isn't a cheap shop and indeed Snow & Rock aren't a cheap ski shop so be prepared for some credit card pain when you shop here. I tend to buy my more specialist items like ski boots, skis and goggles from here as I feel quality in these areas is worth some extra money for good advice and good fitting. After all, these items tend to last me years, so it's worth getting quality which will last I've now skied long enough to know when I've getting good advice or if someone is trying to blag. The advice here is generally solid. I like their custom footbed service where they will mould the soles of your boots to fit your feet exactly. Having a pair of perfectly fitting and comfortable ski boots is vital to an enjoyable ski holiday and these are well worth the investment. Snow & Rock will also adjust boots after purchase for up to a year after purchase. As usual, hit the shop for bargains at the end of ski seasons. The clothing is expensive here and I tend to go elsewhere for less trendy but more affordable gear - I can't bear to spend that amount of money on something I've only going to wear 1 or 2 weeks a year
