Mini records, promo albums, albums from other countries, singles, and even new unopened records can be found here. There is also a section for local artist. They also have several $1 bins where you can find hidden gems if you have the patience. This store was pretty consistently busy and staff was always around if you needed help with something. There are two turntables available to listen to records before you buy (as long as they aren't sealed). Definitely stop in with some time to explore whether you are new to vinyls or a pro.

They offer a box of absolutely FREE records with a limit of three per person. The store policy allows customers to test play vinyl on a phonograph before making any purchase - great policy.

I have found some great bargains, but to be fair, the cheaper vinyl veers more towards VG+. I've also found some obscurities and rarities (unpretentiously) mixed in, and those can get expensive (but again the prices are always fair). The owner is really nice and his partner owns a vintage store in the same strip. I'd put this in my top 20 record stores overall, especially considering the prices for this level of quality and rarity.

So I'm doing part of my regular adult maintenance services, getting tested for STD's because well, adults like to have a little fun. A common theme among a lot of these locations is that they're placed in heavily populated and easily accessed cities but there's never quite enough parking. I'd say maybe less than 10 spots. So get there early to find parking as you're also going to be sharing spaces with patrons of the thrift store. In the age of Covid, registration isn't done by computer or paper but by the QR barcode hanging from the front door. Scan it, create a Healthvana account if you don't already have one, if you do already have one you'll just login and complete the sexual health questionaire. The in order in which you complete the questionnaire is the order in which you'll be served. Next, you'll check in at the stand up desk next to the counter. They'll ask for initials, not names because truly who wants to hear, "DUANA! YOU'RE HERE TO GET TESTED FOR STD'S RIGHT?! JUST MAKING SURE!!" They'll hand you a card with a number on it and you wait for you number to be called to walk into the clinic. The testing was quick. I didn't have an entire run down/overview of my sexual health history with the medical assistant like I'm accustomed to but that's fine. The MA will give you a cup for a urine sample and you'll place it in the window located in the bathroom and return to the office for them to take your blood. The MA who attended to me was kind, she had a hard time getting the needle into my vein and immediately asked for a second opinion which was great. They decided, "other arm" . My vein surrendered blood with no issue. The process was quick and painless. Between finding this location and leaving. I was in and out in 40 minutes. This is my second review of AHF services and I'm pleased and impressed with every location I go to. The service is free. They never ask you for money. So take advantage and go. It costs nothing to get yourself tested.

Great selection and Friendly Staff…read more I visited Fruit Fly Records recently and was pleasantly surprised at what a selection of both vintage and modern albums they had. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The space lends itself and to some extend almost insists that you hangout and shoot the breeze with staff. I was able to bring my son and give him a history lesson on music. But what truly brought me to Fruit Fly Records was that they also offer Redlands Guava by PG Tropical products for sale. A small mini fridge located by the counter hides amazingly delicious batches of guava goodness. And for a guava junkie like myself this is not only a want but a necessity to calm the withdrawal shakes. One try and you'll know. So definitely stop by and check out Fruit Fly Records they have meet up nights where they play music and you can bring some beverages and just hang out and jam. And you never know you could grab some Redland Guava and get hooked just like me.

There is so much to choose from here: Barbie doll collections in original boxes, Star Wars in very good condition still in their original boxes, comic books, old Playboy magazines, figurines, paintings, clothing, costumes, shoes, boots. matchbox cars, arcade games, lunch boxes, etc. It was so much fun going thru these and remembering the good old times. It's a humble location; it's in a quiet strip mall off Oakland Park blvd. Honestly, as we pulled in to the mostly empty parking lot I thought we had the wrong location. But as we entered I realized what few mall customers there were, were all in the shop. And what a nice space it was. Old school basic layout that I liked. Just boxes and boxes of vinyl to sift through. They were well organized, with punk, funk, and more all set in their areas. And the RSD specials were displayed above each of the areas they related to. It's not a huge store, but with the limited quantity it helped me find a couple things I liked. Glad to make the acquaintance of We Got the Beats, and hope to be back soon.

The owner/manager (I'm not sure of his exact role), Tony, was super nice and patient despite what I'm sure was a stressful event. I was super impressed by the organization and how smoothly everything went, when it could've very easily been chaotic with hundreds of crazed fans in attendance. Tony also did a great job of making sure that people didn't cut in line, when many did try, and took the time to talk to those of us who had been waiting in line for hours. He also answered tons of questions on social media that people had leading up to the event. I can't convey how impressed I am at how well they pulled off an event of this magnitude, and am beyond grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
