If you've never shopped here before, when you come in you'll feel right at home and like you've known them forever. Sabrina is great at giving fashion advice and being honest at what looks good and what's not flattering. Mary, the owner, is like that cool aunt that everyone wishes they had. She's great at finding suggestions for how to dress for the different decades. Miami twice has been a staple for vintage fashion for over 40 years with good reason. By the way, if you think you're only coming in to buy clothes for a themed party, you're mistaken. You'll probably leave with a few "extras" you didn't go in looking for, but found impossible to leave behind.

She was rude, condescending, and acted like she was doing me a favor while clearly trying to lowball me. I was told my bags were only worth $2,500, and the whole interaction felt like an attempt to scare me into settling for far less than they were actually worth. The most telling part was how fast the story changed. The second I mentioned I had another offer for $4,000, suddenly the value of my bags magically went up. Then when I came back to get my bags, she tried to offer the $4,000. That alone told me everything I needed to know. It made the entire experience feel completely dishonest, manipulative, and predatory. What stood out most was how disgusting her attitude was throughout all of this. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and no respect. Just arrogance, rudeness, and behavior that made me feel like she was trying to take advantage of me. I would never do business with her again, and I would strongly warn anyone thinking about bringing valuable items there to be extremely careful. I would recommend never visiting this store.

Jara Eisen is the designer of the brand. Jara is a breast cancer survivor and her company supports the charity Fight Like a Girl. The idea for SoJara came to her when she and her daughter were unpacking a box and found an old shirt from a breast cancer walk they did and they didn't have the heart to throw it out. Instead Jara cut it up and sewed it on to a cozy flannel shirt. Now she's doing the same thing with band T's. It is her mission to "spread good vibes through inspirational messages and love for Rock & Roll". I think this is an awesome idea. All the shirts are sourced by Jara. Bands they had included my favorite Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard which was my first ever concert, as well as Metallica, The Who, The Beatles, and Nirvana to name just a few. Some of the band T- shirts have been repurposed and put on the back of vintage jackets and flannel plaid shirts. The also had hats, stickers, and jewelry. It definitely made me feel old that shirts from concerts of my era are now vintage. It also made start thinking about where my old shirts were. My daughter never wanted them although she did steal her father's Lollapalooza shirt. I guess she thinks he was cooler than me. LOL Coming here brought back so many memories about concerts I had gone to and how excited I was to wear the shirt the next day in high school. It was fun to look through the clothes and see the names of the bands I loved in my youth. If you want to check out what they have you can follow Jara on Instagram @SoJara. Rock on!

You can't greet me but you can whisper about me? I could hear the fist few words then she lowered her voice as I clearly caught her. They proceeded to not say anything to me the whole time I was in the store. On my way out I decided to take it upon myself to ask them about the store and the story behind it. It's a shame to have such rude people working in a store that is supposed to be for a good cause. Edit: as I read other low reviews I'm noticing a common factor. I myself am a woman of tan complexion with piercings and tattoos. Profiling and racism is very sad thing to experience and an even sadder thing to perpetuate.

I'm a big fan of the Coach brand, so when I saw on Instagram that Flagler Vintage acquired a huge…read moreselection of vintage and Y2K Coach bags, I had to check it out. For this haul, Flagler Vintage auctioned their selection through a live bid on the "Whatnot" app, rather than selling the stock in store. I had never used this app before but found it super easy to use and got a credit for my first purchase by joining through an invite through Flagler Vintage. Shirley, a team member with Flagler Vintage, has been managing multiple shows on Whatnot to auction off this massive inventory. Her work ethic is really impressive, managing multiple late-night, multi-hour shows many days in a row. She is honest in her showings, being diligent to point out any issues with the bags and being transparent when she may not be sure about the answer to a question but crowdsourcing and researching information on the spot. All bags have started at $1, regardless of style or condition, so nice to see Flagler is not trying to artificially inflate prices on any bags. She has a positive and open attitude, especially being supportive of others to promote their shows, which helps to build a positive bidding environment and community. One thing I will say is sometimes planned shows either are cancelled or very delayed. Some have even started hours early. Appreciating these shows run late at night and Miami has been having stormy weather, it's totally understandable the plans for shows might be fluid. Just a little communication somehow to subscribers planning to attend would be great for people to be able to plan. I was lucky to win two different bags (funny enough, one is a Dooney & Bourke - a few of these slipped into the Coach shows). The bags arrived super fast and tracking through the Whatnot app was painless. I was so impressed with the condition - they looked even better in person than on the show! One was a bit dusty inside, but a disclaimer was made that all bags would need some level of cleaning, so this was not a surprise or issue. Really enjoyed my online experience with Flagler Vintage and looking forward to visiting their brick and mortar in downtown Miami!
