Visited Swayzee Loinz for the first time on Tenderloin Tuesday. It is located on the south side of 146th at Community Drive. In a strip center. You order at a counter and they call your name for pick up. They have a small seating area. There are four 4 top tables. There is one 6 top table. The tenderloin sandwich was large. You can get a large sandwich for $10.95 or an extra large for $13.95. They have over 20 different condiments to add to your sandwich. For sides, they have french fries, onion rings, mac & cheese, baked beans, and chips. They are priced separately. They serve Coke products, which we really like! Our tenderloin sandwich was served hot and fresh. We got it with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onions. They have a variety of sauces you can add as well. Since the seating area is small, my wife snagged us a table while I went to the counter to order. This was probably our mistake. Our order was priced incorrectly in that we only got the tenderloin Tuesday discount on one of the tenderloin sandwiches. We probably both should have gone to the counter and ordered separately. We got sauces on the side and my wife got the ranch and I got the fiery ranch. However, when we picked up our bag at the counter, my sauce was not included, although it was on the printout of our ticket. So, technically you could say both our order and our bill were incorrect Although the bill, you could say, was also our fault since we did not order separately. That being said, we have gone to other establishments on Tenderloin Tuesday and had one bill and we both received the discount. The tenderloin sandwich was OK and fairly priced given market conditions. Would we return? If we were on the far east side of Carmel, we would stop in again. However, we would not drive all the way here from the far west side of Carmel just for the tenderloin sandwich. If you are near their location, stop by and give them a try. They were definitely busy and the staff was friendly. read more

Had lunch with a friend at Swayzee Loinz in Carmel today. Their menu is nothing but tenderloins and hot dogs - we are in Indiana after all. It's a casual dining room offering a comfortable place to eat your meal. I got the large breaded tenderloin with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion with mayo on the side. My friend got the extra large - better be hungry to finish that off. The sandwich was crispy on the outside and tender/juicy on the inside. The tot rings were awesome. Driving through the area and my husband had said he wanted a tenderloin for dinner. Lo and behold, Swayzee Loinz shows up on the car map and we have to make a stop. Tenderloins come in junior, large, and xl sizes. Junior is a slider, large is the size of a normal sandwich with a thicker tenderloin, and xl is the thin dinner plate sized tenderloin you are used to. They also offer a spicy breaded version. Large spicy was perfect for me and I couldn't quite finish it. Husband loved the traditional style XL. All you can pick toppings and we both opted for the Colby pepper jack. Really added to the spicy breading! We also opted for the tot rings. As others mentioned, you only get a few but they are obviously larger with the ring shape. The fire roasted ranch is fire! Service was so fast too and would be easy for grab and go on a week night. Smaller seating area but has a tv for March Madness. Not ideal for more than 6 people at a table. Pork tenderloin sandwiches originated in Indiana, legend has it. So the tenderloin is THE sandwich you need to eat when you're in the state. Swayzee Loin is a new fast-casual joint in Carmel with great tenderloins. The patty is perfectly breaded and crispy but not at all greasy. I've lived in Indiana for almost 10 years, and I've only had one pork tenderloin sandwich, because they are always so huge and hanging off the plate. The tenderloin at Swayzee Loin fits within the bun, and you can pick it up and eat it like a normal sandwich. This restaurant is set up Chipotle style, where you order what you want, then you go down the counter and pick out your condiments and toppings. Add as many toppings as you want -- they're included in the price. Sandwiches comes in three sizes: junior (about the size of a large slider; perfect for kids), large and XL. I chose the large spicy tenderloin, and I chose to add American cheese, lettuce, red onion and tomato. They also have pepperonchinis, pickled jalapenos, pickles, coleslaw and shredded cheese. You can also get one (or multiple) of their house sauces: buttermilk ranch, fire-roasted ranch, bourbon barrel mustard, bbq sauce and honey balsamic vinaigrette. I suggest asking for all of them and seeing what you like! I really loved the fire-roasted ranch and bourbon barrel mustard the most. They also have fries (good) and tater tot rings (great), which look like little potato donuts. Hot dogs are also on the menu, as well as sides like baked beans and mac & cheese. Be aware that the sides are truly sides and small-sized portions. My kids wanted just mac & cheese when we visited, so I just ordered them that. But that wasn't enough food, so then I also ordered them a junior pork tenderloin (which they both ended up loving). For dessert, they have ice cream in a freezer Heartland Homemade Ice Cream. We got the s'mores and corn bread ice cream. The dining room is small -- maybe 8 or 10 tables. When we visited for dinner, all but three tables were occupied, so it seems they do get busy. They also have a big-screen TV here, which had football on. read more

My dining partner declared his spicy tenderloin sandwich to be excellent with just the right amount of spice and he liked the thickness of the meat which kept it moist. Besides tenderloins, they offer hot dogs and various sides. I had the slaw and baked beans. The slaw had an unusual flavor to it, possibly pineapple. Overall, this place is very average and extremely overpriced. The junior "spicy" tenderloin ($6) can finished in literally 3-4 bites. It honestly didn't really had a flavor and was not spicy whatsoever. The XL was much bigger, still average. The side of fries were a good portion and were tasty. Their sides are also very small and highly priced for the quantity. Inside the restaurant, it's basically fast food with minimal decor... extremely basic. However, it is clean. Tried this place for the first time today. Taste: average. Value: overpriced. I walked in with high expectations. There aren't many places I can think of that specialize in tenderloins, so I expected this to be well above average. It was good, but not great. There are better tenderloins within a 10 minute drive from here. I went for the XL tenderloin, which was large, but not larger than anywhere else I've been. It was big enough to fold in half and still hang over the bun. They have a Chipotle-style line of toppings to select from, so I was able to get my usual yellow mustard and jalapeños. I ordered a side of baked beans and macaroni and cheese to go with my sandwich. The sides are small cups- for $3-$4 per side. For that price I'd expect a larger portion, to be honest. The tenderloin itself was just ok. I watched them fry it, so it was served up hot and fresh. It wasn't very greasy at all. The taste was just average- nothing stood out about it. Considering they ONLY sell tenderloins, I just needed it to really impress me. Especially for $27.88 in a fast-food setting. Strangely, they don't serve iced tea. They have a self-service Coke machine. I can't say that anything was bad, but it didn't knock my socks off, and that's what I expect from a specialty restaurant. Exactly as described: delicious (Indiana-style) tenderloin. Price was extremely competitive with fast-food chains (~same as a burger from any of them) but the quality of ingredients was far superior. Jake was very knowledgeable on the menu and helped me choose toppings/size/etc. and Epie made my spicy tenderloin sandwich within a couple of minutes (he portioned the toppings very well). I was surprised to get a lunch of such high quality for such a reasonable price with such a quick turnaround. I was on lunch break for work and I was in, ate, and out in ~15-20 minutes. The place was clean and there were plenty of seats when I was there. No drive-through but it was quick enough for a sit-down on my lunch break. 10/10 for what they are offering and will go again when in the area. read more

Great place for a burger or chicken alternative. Clean, nice atmosphere which was crowded for a Thursday lunch. Their tenderloin sandwich was tasty and the best part was you can add your choice of toppings, and there are a lot of choices. I also got the mac and cheese and coleslaw. Cute place! Locally owned. The tenderloins are very nice with a crispy breading. Love the ability to go down the line like Qdoba or Subway and tell the worker how to dress my sandwich. With high prices, $16 for a tenderloin, equal in size to other restaurants, comes high expectations. They did not meet my expectations. Being a lifelong Hoosier I have had many tenderloins. This one is average. Too little for the money and short on flavor. The chili sauce on the hotdogs tasted canned & was very sparse and onions were few. The Mac n Cheese was delicious though. The food was hot and service was fast. Unfortunately the mid size tenderloin at $12 doesn't even come close in quality and taste to the best tenderloin I've ever had in 30+ years in Hamilton County: Muldoon's in Carmel. I would say this was just okay, if I could I'd give 3.5 stars. The people were nice but portion sizes were small. I ordered for our family of 6 - 3 juniors and 2 regulars, fries and tot rings. The person taking our order accidentally put the tot rings in as "loaded" so my kids wouldn't eat those. The chili wasn't great on them so I understand why. The sandwiches were good. We were going to get ice cream but the price for the tiniest cup of ice cream was outrageous so we went to Handles instead.
