I received a Moonswatch Mission to the Moon as a gift and really loved it. It's a fun casual watch and a great talking piece for watch lovers. Unfortunately, I was at a festival and lost it so I wanted to replace the watch as soon as possible. I don't have a Swatch store anywhere near me so that's not so easy. They did start selling some of the Moonswatches online including the one I had, but I knew I was going to SF soon and that the store would be down the street from my hotel. Plus, some new colors and models came out that I was interested in. I was taking a risk because collectors buy certain ones up and often wait outside the store for new drops when they release. The watch I was interested in was the grey 1965 which had just come out. I came into the store and was greeted by the staff. I told them my predicament about losing one and wanting to replace it, but also about my curiosity to see other color ways that aren't available to me in SC. They asked about all the color ways I was interested in, brought them out, and added a couple extras that I might like. I was able to compare them all right next to each other and see the small differences like between the Mission to the Moon and the Moonphase which are super similar. I ended up leaving with the 1965 and I'm so happy with it. I even bought a watch for my friend who bought me the initial watch I lost as an extra thank you and to remedy my prior carelessness in losing the first one. Now all is right in the world and I love my new watch. I have to shout out the staff too who were not only helpful, but patient while I made my decision. Plus while I was picking out the watch I was gifting to a friend, one of the female staff members offered to try it on her wrist so I could choose the right size for my female friend. read more

On a whim I decided to dip into the Swatch Store in Union Square after a Giants game. I had been looking for the Moonswatch Mission to Mercury for nearly a year. Every Swatch Store I visited did not have it. I gave up hope until recently. Walked into Union Square store and asked "Peter" if they had the "Mercury" in stock. He said they had every SKU in stock except for the "White Snoopy". What?!! I asked to see the Mercury and was about to buy it when he said they had the "Black Snoopy". I did not know about but; but was immediately smitten when I saw it. I bought it. A tip of the cap to Peter and the entire Union Square Team for their great customer service. On an impulse Las Vegas trip, I walked by a Swatch store from your shop in the New York New York Hotel and Casino and got my wife a beautiful perfect Swatch watch. Well, we still have it till this day, and have gotten approximately 3 free batteries since we bought it. Thank you. If you are following, you already know I am an Omega watch fan. But did you know that Swatch owns Omega?!?! So cool. Atmosphere - Small location, similar to the one in LV. In a tourist area, there is very limited parking. Good luck. This is a tiny little storefront in the hustle and bustle of downtown SF. Luckily, it was close to where I happened to be staying for work, so I could drop by on my last morning in town. I have been meaning to replace the battery on my favorite Swatch for a while now and was so excited to finally remember to bring my watch with me. They still only allowed one patron in the store at a time, but then they actually let a couple more guys in while I was there as a line started to form outside. The girl who helped me was very sweet and knowledgeable about the brand. She got my watch all up and running in no time. The day I was there, the inventory was pretty low, but I believe they get shipments weekly. I can imagine around this time of year they move more product than any other. read more

The way Swatch and this particular store managed the release of the Swatch x Omega Moonswatch has turned me off both companies and this store's lack of respect for its customers was just the (terrible) cherry on top. Let me explain. I lined up at 3am in the hopes of getting a piece for myself, was happy to wait in line, knew that I was in for a wait, and there were no guarantees... sure Strike 1 - the store was only allocated 150 pieces - knowing full well the demand, this seems like a deliberate tactic to pump the hype button - especially as every was told "they could buy 2" - so Swatch really only thought 75 people would buy from this store? but fine - restricting supply is a game all watch buyers already understand. Strike 2 - apparently the store the night before had compiled a "list of names" of people waiting - and knowing they only had 150 pieces and more than that many names collected already the night before, it was clear to them they would run out, especially given the scenes outside other stores in other time zones - But again - intentionally no mention of a list, no notice on the front of the store, no nothing was mentioned at all. So folks who physically came to the store (either early or late) were not given any heads up their wait was in vain Strike 3 - even after the store opened and the store folks could see the huge line of people, no process, no structure and most damning - no communication to folks in the line that their wait was in vain - even after repeat asks by people in line about what was going on and if they should even wait. It seems clear to me that at best - swatch is just incompetent and seems unwilling to invest at least a minimum amount of planning into this global release, or and what I think is more likely - intentionally used a friendly fan base to create hype for themselves, artificially restricting supply and creating huge lines of people waiting for something they knew going in they could not deliver - disgusting behavior by a brand and treatment of customers... and to the "little man" who works at this particular store who only seemed able to roll his eyes and say "let me ask..." you need to find yourself another profession, because customer service is not it. read more

In response to Bran T's comment and others complaining about the Moonswatch release, all you had to do was come early as possible, in our case 5PM the day before the release and wait in line for your watch. It's simple really. If you can't handle it, then turn back and go home and try buying it online when it releases there. 3AM was too late frankly... and counting the amount of heads from the front to the back of the line knowing you won't be able to get a watch due to the 150 watch supply from the brand, why even bother staying in line? If you really wanted these watches, you would find a way. In our case, we came here to be as early as we can and endured the pain but ended up with a sweet watch. Thanks again to the Swatch crew! I have worn the same Swiss Army watch for 15 years. It died last week. I don't like any of the new ones on the market, so I went into Swatch to see what they had. I had an idea what I wanted, but I wasn't sure. Even though they had tons of customers looking for the new Omega watch, the staff was patient and kind. Sung helped me check out several watches, but I felt like Goldilocks. None were quite right. Then she proposed one that I never would've thought of. And I loved it! I never would have picked it out, but it's perfect. She spent a lot of time adjusting the band, so it would fit me. She changed out the clip to one that was simpler and less complicated. I have been so worried how I would ever replace my beloved watch. This one is new and shiny and pretty. It makes me smile when I look at it. I'm so grateful for retail spaces to still exist. I know how easy it is to look on the Internet and buy it. But it really does make a difference when you want to know how something feels on your body. I walked in to the store and asked the employee if they have the Moonswatch - Omega x Swatch in stock, the guy (i didnt get his name, caucasion and is heavy set guy) said he only have Mars, Urenus and Venus in stock, when I said what color is that, in a loud voice he goes "you come here everyday and you dont know" I FEEL EMBARASSED because there's other customers in the store. People need to chill the f out.... With all the Moonswatch hype going on, the Powell St. team members here deserve a raise, vacation, gold medal, ect. We need to remember these are actual human beings here and they're just doing their best to help people stopping in and calling ever 10 minutes to ask about watches they have no delivery and inventory control over. It's all about randomness and luck and I was fortunate to stop by one Saturday late afternoon and they had a few in-stock. I didn't get my first choice color but I'm still grateful to walk out with cool Mission on Earth. Shout-out to Peter who kept calm and was a trooper during my visit. The way the staff and Swatch is handling their Golden Goose partnership with Omega has turned me off to Swatch in general. I have been either driving by or walking by every few days each week and it's always been the same answer I expected. No, the watches are sold out. However, the way the employees providing answers on when the next delivery of the Moon watches are vague to straight out lies. They would mention come back next week. Next week comes, they mentioned some came last week, on days I've visited. Calling them is absolutely useless. They are worst than trying to talk to someone from the IRS. Was never successful at reaching anyone. Don't bother calling them for any other help outside of the Moon watches either. They will ignore all calls. I can tell you their lazy employees are just standing their doing nothing in particular in the store. Unless you have inside information, you're not getting those watches. The employees are saving the delivery information to tell their friends to share the profits. It's no longer worth my time to pursue this silly watch. The Swatch brand has the stench of manure in my opinion at this point. They're acting as if this Golden Goose moment will last forever. read more

Incredible experience with sales reps who really know their business. I live in an area with no Swatch stores, so it was great to visit SF and talk to folks who love the Swatch brand and its history. I chatted with German in particular who gave me a lot of info on past watch collaborations and where you can still find older styles. He knows it all!! Obviously, the employees are kept busy trying to manage the hype around the MoonSwatches (which come in and out of stock). I decided to return the swatch I recently acquired and get the Jupiter today. I came into the boutique and asked if they had the Jupiter in stock. They said they didn't which is fine. I was never rude to them. I told them I wanted to return my current one. Then the guy proceeds to go on a rant about how if I didn't want this color why did I buy it in the first place. I had a wonderful experience today at this Swatch location. The two staff I believe Sung and Joel (apologies if I get their names mixed up) went above and beyond with customer service. They services my 6 watches, changed the batteries and buffed out the crystal. I ended up purchasing a Swatch irony and they took 15 minutes to carefully make sure the links fit my wrist. I tried calling the SD location to commend the two staff to Peter the manager. I am doing so on Yelp as I couldn't get though. These associates made my day. Please commend them. read more

I have been a Swatch customer for the past ten years, and I went in to the San Francisco store to get a minor repair for my watch. Unfortunately, the store clerk was extremely rude to me when he informed me that the store was currently out of the necessary part, using a highly confrontational tone while being very dismissive of my request. I returned to the store a few days later to check if the part had been delivered - he had offered no sort of time scale as to when the part would become available - and was immediately confronted by the same clerk who accused me of being rude to him on our previous encounter. Admittedly, the first time we met I had made a special trip to come into the city from the East Bay just to get my watch fixed, so I may have been a little frustrated - but I did not expect this level of unprofessionalism from a brand I have so much respect for. Further, I was charged $4 for the part - which was just a little plastic buckle - when the company has done the same repair several times for free for me before. I don't want to believe I was charged because was apparently "rude" - but this is what the evidence suggests. I don't want to discourage customers from purchasing Swatch - I think they are a fab brand - but this one store clerk was hugely disrespectful, and has left me with a very negative impression of this store in particular. read more

Peter & Sung made our family Swatch trip especially memorable! Keep in mind this is the only Swatch for like 100 miles? In the ~30 mins we spent in the store, their phone was going literally nonstop with asks about the Omega x Swatch collab EVERY single time. Remember you're dealing with an actual person here! The Swatch employees have 0% control over deliveries & according to them, they also have ZERO heads up on when said deliveries even arrive. Good things happen when you're nice to people!! I came to the store to be in line at 6pm the night before the drop date of the MoonSwatch collection. It was 16 hours of waiting in line and I got the watch that I wanted. It's that simple if you are really want to get your watch. And when I got there, I counted the heads to make sure I will get the watch FOR SURE, NOT HOPEFULLY to worth my waiting time. Around 8am, there was some people trying to cut the line. Well, it pissed all of us because we waited the whole night. Again, come early, count the heads, or wait for the next release. By the way, the team of Swatch San Francisco did an amazing job to make it as seamless as possible for all of us.
