Upon researching it, I was told that it was shipped and delivered to my door. Been a customer for many years... Even did sharing is caring referral program, they got customers from me.. Not to mention I ordered for other people with my order...They sent me 3 different e-mails on completely 3 different dates.. I called customer service to make sure I had 3 rewards according to the e-mails... I was advised that I had 3 rewards.. I asked if the rewards expire I was advised that they didn't.. Well Lowe and behold I go to order and I have no rewards.. I called and e-mailed and was advised that I now have only one reward NOT 3... I sent all 3 e-mails to them that were sent to me on 3 different dates... Apparently, according to Ann C as follows "Please note also that the coupons are emailed to you after 48 hours from when the person referred order has shipped from our warehouse. " Yep... Deceptive, or at least misleading advertising means a one-star review from me. Swanson routinely sends advertising emails with the subject header "Get 30% off sitewide." Then, when you open the email, in small print is says "up to" 30% off. I'm not sure why Yelp has this titled as Swanson Health Retail Store. Makes it sound like it's a store you can walk into and buy something. But whatever, I'm finally posting a review. It basically says what most of the others say. Their shipping times would have been OK 50 years ago, but are seriously outdated now. It wouldn't be quite as bad if we weren't talking about supplements being carried around in hot vehicles for a couple of weeks. Although I can buy less expensively from Swanson (if I buy during one of their many sales), I've decided it's just not worth it to save a few bucks. I have been buying from Swanson Vitamin for many years and since Swander Pace Capital took over a couple of years ago the service has declined. Used to be I would get an order in 5-7 business days and most often would be in the 5 day range. Now Swander Pace Capital might get your order filled in 2 or 3 days and then it can be up to 10 business days for shipping. The quality of vitamins hasn't changed or I would give the company a lower grade. Swanson's on-line print capability is horrible. The best way to print is to make a screen print and paste it into a word doc. Prices are rising but I don't know if it is inflation or that Swander Pace Capital is just raising prices. Once a great company, now full of lairs of conmen. I warn those outside of the USA to avoid this company at all costs. I dealt with Swanson Vitamins for nearly four years but this will be my last order with them. I have made many orders and spent large sums of money with them. On the 31st of December 2013 I placed an order which did not ship until the 5th of January. I paid good money for express international shipping with tracking. By the time the 14th rolled around I had not received my parcel nor was a tracking number forthcoming. After contacting Swanson over facebook I was assured that the parcel had "suddenly returned" to them just then. It took several emails later for them to tell the truth: they had never shipped the parcel in the first place. Apparently it was an error in the warehouse. I remade the order on the 19th and requested it sent out again. It still has not arrived on the 28th, despite them quoting 3-5 business days for delivery. Ive tried emailing them now but my email has been returned unread by them. I believe that I will never get my money back from them now. I have continually requested to speak with management via email. Every time they have ignored me. Warnings: - they take 1-2 weeks on average for parcels to leave their warehouse, despite the fact that their website says it may take 2-4 business days - communication via email takes at least 48 hours, please ensure that your email is detailed so that your questions can be answered, otherwise it will take another 48 hours to get a response from them - they will answer facebook requests immediately, as this can easily affect their reputation. Demand action via facebook and refuse to send them an email when they ask you to. - check the status of your order daily until it has been sent. I have never received confirmation emails when ordering from them at all. - shop around! Many vitamin companies are far more reputable and can ensure delivery of international parcels far more than Swanson could ever hope to. read more

Good prices. Terrible automated ordering. Terrible customer "service" attitude. The automated ordering worked at first. I order everything on multiples of 30 days. I would get one shipment a month of about $150. Then I got a second shipment in the same month that had two items in it, so I got the shipping charge on that. I went to correct it. The next month, the same thing, but I caught it early and cancelled the small order. I went to Walmart and bought the missing vitamins. I kept playing with this renegade computer ordering program this way. Sometimes it would sting me with a surprise order and a shipping charge. I tried working with technical support but they weren't able to fix it. This month, I tried changing the order date to be the same as the large order. They sent me two orders on the same day on the same credit card and charged me shipping on the small order. I called to complain and got a smart-mouthed person on the other end. She said that I needed to delete my account and start all over. I decided to go to GNC instead. I finally hung up on her. After the many times I have called, I'm convinced that this company just doesn't really care. Hint! Don't hire jerks to work in customer service. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered 40 of a particular product. I buy in bulk so it makes the most of the shipping fee. However, only 7 were delivered. When chatting with them they told me that 7 was my country's customs policy and it was clearly stated on the website. So they expect you to wade through pages of small text to read up on the customs procedure. I live in Canada and have ordered tons of stuff that has had to clear customs and it has NEVER been an issue. Surely it would make more sense to have a limit flash up before you check out or to send the customer an e-mail to see if they would like to proceed with just 7? Unacceptable. I ordered 7 bottles of one of their products and received them in March. The problem was, there were 150 pills in each bottle and the expiration date for all of them was May 2017. When I mentioned to customer service, they were willing to refund the cost of 6 of the bottles. Perhaps this was a one off, but I have had the most frustrating experience trying to place my second order with this company. Firstly the website would not recognize me as a registered user so I tried calling the help order. 30 minutes of holding later the helpful lady told me she could not help me with that problem and gave me another number to call. Only 5 minutes after that I spoke with a more experienced help lady who could not resolve the problem either. They are 'working on it.' She explained that this was a temporary issue because of rapid growth and website problems. If they fix it, ok. Then when I tried to complete my order as a guest it rejected two of my credit cards due to the number not being compatible with the type of cards. This was a Discover and a MasterCard. FInally my 3rd card worked - another MasterCard. Right now they are not #1 in customer satisfaction by a long shot!!! read more

I have been ordering every month from Swanson vitamins. I was concerned with some of the reviews that if I ever had an issue I would not get satisfication. Well that has not been my experienced. I have had to contact customer service twice to help me and they have been absolutely wonderful. As far as the website reliability; being in the online baning industry I can say (with some authority - LOL) that I've never had an issue and I am on the site several times a month. Even from work where they still run an old browser, I have had no problems. I am extremely pleased with the products and the affordability of them. I like their products, but their IT staff is clueless and their customer care department is awful. Swanson had become my "go-to" site, but I have asked them to cancel my membership, because while working with their customer care reps, I twice found strange email addresses tied to my account. They blamed it on someone hacking into my email account. NOT. My username was still my email password and I was still getting communication by the normal email account. It has taken 10 days of patiently working with their customer care reps just to get to this point. I have had to send screen shots of every step of the process, because the reps are so clueless and they wouldn't believe me. Their whole customer care department needs to be fired! Ridiculous! I asked Swanson if they are GMO free? They said No! Unless it says on the label GMO free, so most Swanson products are Not safe if you are avoiding GMO as I am trying to do. Bad company! This company ackonowledged that their products have 2 years guarantee of potency and freshness, the 22 bottles of Swanson Premium Garcinia Cambogia 5:1 Extract which I bought recently were manufactued in March 2014 as shown on the labels. As they said, the best by date would be March 31, 2016. Clearly they sold me expired products based on the US food/supplement insdustry standards, or even based on their own quality statement published in their web site (http://www.swansonvitamins.com/content/standards/quality/manufacturing-dates-vs-expirations.html): "In most cases, products are considered stable at full potency for two years from the manufacture date." I called yesterday to reorder a pro biotic. The lovely ladies who used to man the phones at Swanson have been replaced by outsourced reps from the Phillipines. The reps are polite, but have little knowledge of the Swanson product line. Before I considered Swanson as a family business, that seems to no longer be the case. The person I spoke with twice had not a clue when the item would be restocked. This is my first complaint with this company but it is a big one. Been a loyal customer of Swanson for two decades. Called on 6/6/16 Twice.( I had to straighten out a shipping/order error). First time I've ever had a problem with an order. The first call was with a gentleman who was difficult to understand due to an accent. The second call was some 4 hours later. Both of these customer service people were outside the USA., Caribbean area. I called Swanson to determine if they have a new 'outsource' program to use an ''offshore' fulfillment company. ( i.. e. American Airlines, Verizon, etc). The answer I received didn't make any sense and it appears that they are simply following other corporations in order to not pay American workers decent wages. I have never had a problem with Swanson until now. I found a coupon code on Retail-Me-Not, code ELEVEN, which stated 11 cent shipping and 11% off the total. I sent Swanson the link. My total was over $35.-. There was no limit of purchase. On my internet receipt the 11% deduction was shown. When I emailed the company about taking off the $4.99 shipping and honoring the 11 cent promo, they would not, and also reneged on the 11% off! Even tho it was deducted from their site on my receipt to begin with. NOW they state that I get neither because the coupon sites aren't always accurate and I would have to spend $69.- to get the discounts. Baloney! I have spent thousands of dollars with Swanson for decades and recommended them to many people. However, I am now just someone their customer service thinks they can shove around and treat like trash. Swanson has betrayed my trust in them. They delivered to me frozen product and my assumption they would replace those items immediately was wrong. Instead I was told over and over freezing would not harm any of the products and it was up to me to waste more time and cause more delay by sending things back. Then I might get a refund eventually WHEN ALL I WANTED WAS REPLACEMENTS. They even refused to say I could purchase new items at the same sale, discount prices and free shipping. I was told by one customer service rep I did not make sense because I refused to agree with him freezing would not harm, weaken, etc. vitamins, creams, herbs. The company does not start counting these days until order has left their warehouse Catch here is: Found them taking 2-5 days for shipments after the date of orders. So goods arrive past this period. For my recent order (Placed on February 16th, 2015), I am still waiting for the delivery. Usual response of CSR due to high volumes of orders, there is delay in shipment, we are sorry. Guys, hire more people instead of standard excuses? How does your apology solve any health problem? (4) Now, if ordered, and there is delay in shipment after ordering. The company policy is: Order can not be cancelled if the order processing has started So you get stuck! Solution: Call up their CSR, who if kind enough can take you out of this mess and might cancel the order. If it does not work, dispute the payment with credit card company and cancel the payment. (5) If order has passed 3-10 business days limit, then as per the policy of the company, the customer must wait 15 business days to receive refunds/replace the package by sending another parcel. So in such cases, after adding there is further time-lag to receive the shipment. So minimum 20 business days (or maybe over 26 calender days if count 2 days of weekends). And remember that this is from the day of shipmen. So hopefully in a month such orders might be received! (6) So what should a customer do if such goods are not received on time and have passed 3-10 business days from the date of shipment. The solution I found, dispute the payment and cancel the payment from your credit card company; instead of dealing with their hopeless customer service. (7) Now, god forbid if you have to deal with their CSR. If calling them, there is no record of that conversation. If chatting, (based on personal experience), if there is serious complaint and try to resolve that matter, less probability to receive the copy of that chat by email (their default option is to send the transcript of the chat by email), maybe the CSR does some magic! (8) If email them, then absolute useless responses: From my recent interaction: My email (Dated March 3, 2015 EST): "I have checked in your online tracking system of both service providers (which are Landmark and Canada Post), then called up Canada Post, the order status has not been updated for the last many days. Could you please investigate so I receive my order as it it urgent. CSR response (responded on March 4, 2015 by Courtney B., Email Specialist): We are sorry. You could check the tracking status at Canadapost.ca. We advise you to have patience. Guys: Did you read the email? How the hell patience would solve the health problem? Perhaps you should also go through the same problem to have the right experience. (9) Follow up email: My email (March 6, 2015): the order status has not been updated. These products are urgent due to my health issue, could you please investigate or reship the goods; CSR response (March 7, 2015 by Kellie B., Email Specialist): We are sorry. If you do not receive your goods by March 12, 2015, then contact us for further assistance. Also, can you verify your address with us? I have dealth with Swanson, on and off, for years. No major problem, except when I requested a catalogue. Because my order would now be shipped to the Dominican Republic, I can not get a catalogue. I really do not like to use on line information, for me a catalogue is far more convenient. And, I run a private language school, with students who have never heard of vitamins. A catalogue in Spanish for them, and one in English for me would be great, but NO, there is no way. There is no contingency in their policy. Oh well, I'll still order, Swanson has what I want.
