It took me 30 minutes to set up my account and place a small order. The charges went through to my PayPal but the order was never placed. Now those funds are unavailable to me and I need to place the order elsewhere. When I tried to log in, I had to reset my password three times. I had written down the information and typed it in correctly. Another 20 minutes wasted. The person on chat "Brady" was of no help at all. I spent 30 minutes on chat with him and he told me there was nothing he could do. This forced me to look for the products elsewhere and I found them cheaper. read more

Great place to shop for all of your wellness needs. They have a wide selection of quality vitamins and supplements, as well as natural and organic foods, and even a pretty extensive refrigerated goods section. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and I love supporting a local business. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I ordered product from Swanson and when it arrived there were 2 days left until expiration. So I contacted customer service who couldn't have given a crap about it. Just referred me to the manufacturer. I guess they just saw it as my problem and didn't care about "my" inconvenience. Seems like they got ride of it before they had to throw it out. Asked them to deactivate my first time customer account and received no argument. Not even an attempt to salvage a new customer. Business must be great!!! They obviously don't care about service after the sale. Will "NEVER" visit them again. read more

I found this company online a few weeks ago and planned to make some purchases at a later date. They put me on their email list and I started receiving really good updates about specials and promos. I noticed that they have a wide variety of quality products, and I love their website design, where you can do your research by illness or condition or health concern. Also, there are frequent updates regarding the latest research done by Lee Swanson, the owner of the company. Tonight I ordered a bunch of stuff under a promo code. I made a couple of crucial errors, and was really concerned because it was a 2nd Day Air order. Then I saw the live chat link. I clicked on it, and the operator came right on and was very helpful and efficient. (It was 7pm my time, 9pm the company's time, yet there was someone there to assist!) Directly after the chat, I received an email documenting the entire chat. This is really helpful, and impressive. I highly recommend Swanson Health Products to anyone who needs to take a variety of supplements/herbs for several different health conditions and just overall wellness. Having researched a lot of "vitamin" type sites, I am very impressed by this company. Kudos! read more

Terrible, malfunctioning website. They offer payment by PayPal, but won't connect you. They offer live chat help, but that doesn't work, either. read more

Swanson Health is my favorite place to pick up anything health related that I may need! The selection of vitamins, their line or others, is second to none in the area. Plus, if you are looking for items to help with healthy living, gluten allergies or other food related interests, Swanson's has a nice, yet small, food selection. There is also an area to find skin and other health care items, with quite a large assortment. The staff is always very nice and helpful as well. read more

Swanson - Health Markets Near Me - Fargo, North Dakota

See all

Their products are high quality and their prices are superb. I've placed 3 orders so far and everything was just as expected. One minor downside is that it takes quite a while to get the orders from North Dakota, but I'm happy to wait since their supplements are just that good. Great company! read more

Don't bother! The customer service sucks. They charged our card, but didn't ship because they say that there was a discrepancy with our address? We have been in business for 7 years and are pretty well aware of our address at this point. We tried to re-order and they flagged it claiming fraud?!? Now won't ship the order and can't give an explanation. Smh... A google search turns up too many options to hassle with this company. read more

This store and it's staff make finding what I need to take care of myself and my home easy. I might not always know what item I would be best for what I need, but the staff is so aligned with natural living, and so well trained, that they always guide me to options and help me with fine tuning. It's weird that people are confusing the mail order with the store on here though, disregard the mail order reviews in regards to the store, because the store has always been good for me. read more

I hope this Mickey Mouse Operation goes out of business. I'd give them zero stars if I could. I bought a gift for a sick friend and paid extra for overnight shipping, paid for with a debit card. The butt weasels refused to ship the merchandise! Pathetic! read more

Swanson sells vitamins that often have side effects. Hoping a vitamin or herb may make you feel better. After taking a couple different herbs, I had nausea. If I complain about a product, they will normally give a refund, but it is a slow process. I don't recommend this company for online vitamins. read more

After many years of dealing with this company, my Swanson account got hacked. Within 3 days 6 orders totaling over $600 were placed on my account using one of my stored credit cards. The hacker was using fake email addresses and Swanson didn't bother to check the email address, shipping address, or even ask the hacker for my credit card's CVV code. I reported this as soon as I found out to Swanson, and my credit card company. Swanson's only suggestion was to change my password, which I did. Now, having placed a new order using a different credit card and waiting for shipping info, I go into my account 5 days after placing the order and find it has been cancelled. They couldn't even bother to send me an email. I called them and the representative told me that a fraud alert was put on my account because some person/outfit somewhere had made fraudulent orders, and mentioned that I would not be able to ever order from them again. This is extremely poor customer service, with a "ha-ha" we don't care attitude, and they have lost a long-time customer. Warning: if you have any stored credit cards on your account, delete them immediately - Swanson is seriously lacking in security measures read more

I have ordered all our vitamins here for at least 5 years.. If you sign up to be on the email list they always have specials with big discounts. Their prices and quality are always top notch. Swanson is the best advice I've received all year! I got the tip from an employee of another health-related store who was working his last day, and haven't turned back since. I've taken natural/organic supplements all my life, and Swanson not only provides consistent top-quality in all products offered, but prices that no other retailer I've found can beat! Add shipping that is almost immediate, even when labelled "standard", and the daily specials and sales. They carry homeopathic remedies and special items like 7-Keto DHEA that my doctor has approved. If you have a question, you will speak with real human beings who go above and beyond to resolve and issues and answer any questions! I've recommended Swanson to everyone I know and will continue.to do so. It's my source, wherever I go. Thank you so much for being there for me, Swanson! read more

This is for the ONLINE ORDERING portion of the company and not for the retail store. I placed an online order for several items including a bag of bulk tea. When the package arrived and I opened the box, the bag of bulk tea was at the very top with nothing on top of it and was sliced open even though I was careful in opening the box. I sent feedback to the company explaining that better packaging was needed and that I wasn't looking for a refund or replacement but rather awareness about packaging products for shipment. To my surprise, a new bag of tea was shipped to me. Thank you! I appreciate the customer service gesture very much. The products I ordered were of good quality and purchased during one of their many sales so got great pricing as well. I will order from them again. read more

I think this a really great store I just wish all their staff would wear a mask and require customers to wear one too. NEVER AGAIN!!! I joke wasted at least 4 hours of my own time trying to get this order straightened out between PayPal and swansons.... Swansons claimed I did not pay for my order... Yet they shipped it and I recieved it? Make any sense? Nope! So they kept calling and emailing me asking me to pay for it for a second time... I contacted PayPal the said they recieved the money and even did a 3 way with me them and PayPal 2 times... The lady at PayPal gave up and just filed a dispute with them.... 2 days later I get a lame email saying Dear Benjamin, Thank you for choosing Swanson Health Products. Please be advised we have looked into the issue with the payment with pay pal. We have found the payment has been deposited into our account. We apologize greatly for the miscommunication on our end. No further action is needed for this order. We hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions please contact us. SWANSON has great prices and a large variety of brands and choices. What I do not like is, that they use UPS for the beginning of shipping, then pass the package to our local USPS office. That is where all the headaches and stress comes in. I was told by UPS, that SWANSON saves money. The mailman we have, cannot be trusted. More than (5) times, he "scans packages as delivered", when I got nothing. The tracking number tells me the exact day, and by the end of the day, I am calling the PO, asking, "where is my stuff"? Just this past week, he "scanned as delivered", and his supervisor said, "he specifically remembers delivering to your house." WHAT A BOLD FACED LIE. I called back to remind them, that delivering to the wrong house, could happen. He could scan the package anywhere as "delivered". People can get the receipt, and then IDENTITY THEFT, can occur. After placing that call, the next day, he walked up with the package! I said: "I thought you scanned and delivered this, 2 days ago?" "Sorry", he says looking down...." we found it in our warehouse." Sounds like they have a warehouse of packages they most likely sell on EBAY. No wonder the PO is going out of business! I relayed all of this to SWANSON, and they still insisted, "the package may arrive later than the tracking date." (BUT IT WAS SCANNED AS DELIVERED, 2 days ago, did they forget?) How can you hand it to me now, after insisting, you remember "specifically delivering it, the correct date? It would not have arrived at all, had I not filed an online complaint, call the PO 4 times, and remind them of IDENTITY THEFT. So SWANSON re-shipped, my order while all this was going on, then asked me, "when you get it, do you want to BUY the second box, instead of writing "return delivery?" Noooooooo, I do not, and lets see, if the second order even gets here. Even worse, knowing the behavior of these postal workers, writing RETURN TO SENDER, is no guarantee, that SWANSON, will ever get it back! That was rude enough for me to switch to the VITAMIN STORE. They think they are saving money, using TWO shipping companies instead of ONE? It is a "roll of the dice:" if USPS gets it to me...no thanks, I want a company that uses UPS or FED-EX all the way through, AND without me having to pay extra, to do it! That is what I was told by CUSTOMER SERVICE. $50.00 gets FREE SHIPPING, UNLESS, you want UPS to deliver, all the way through. VITAMINS ARE GREAT, SHIPPING SUCKS BIG TIME. I AM DONE! read more

Their prices are great, and if you want to return something, they pay for the shipping. They also list all of the ingredients online. Be sure to read the ingredient list, because some of their products contain artificial colors (Sam-e) or even worse GMOs (genetically modified organisms). GMOs have never been studied for safety in humans. In animal studies, they've been shown to cause organ damage and infertility. Most corn, soy, canola, zucchini, breakneck squash and Hawaiian papaya are GMO. Organic food may not be GMO. Lecithin is usually from soy so it is usually GMO as 93% of all soy is GMO. Some of Swanson's products also contain soybean oil. Best to avoid those. Their website: www.swansonvitamins.com . Phone: 800-437-4148. read more

I have been buying from this company for years and have been happy with their prices and quality. The past year has seen rampant price increases when I compare one order with the next. As an example, I bought 2 orders of Whey Protein powder in May for $20.79 ea. Now in Sept i went to reorder and they say "$29.99 a 30% savings". Over 30% price increase in 4 months! This is just one example of what has been occurring across their product offerings. Time to shop for another vendor. read more

Good product selection and prices but as many others pointed out the shipping was SLOW. My order took about 8 days to get to Phoenix. When I talked to customer service about it they said my order shipped from ND instead of their other warehouse in NV. Another point to mention was the packaging... not the worst I've ever seen but it could have been a bit better. At least it came in a box. read more

Dear Swanson Health Products: Your RIDICULOUS policy of shipping THE FIRST ORDER to the billing address - which was NOT mentioned in my ordering process- has lost you a sale. I ordered BEANS (St Dalfour cans) and the order was refused because I had it sent to my mother instead of to my address. I live in TEXAS and she is in CALIFORNIA. It's CHRISTMAS. People are probably ordering gifts. When a customer CALLS YOUR COMPANY and there is no problem with the credit card, I can verify all addresses, and the item is not a "drug"...do you THINK there could be a way to put the order through? Needless to say- you will NEVER get my business again, and I will be sure to write this incident up on every single website I can think of. PS- credit card fraud is the credit card company and the customer's problem. I don't see how it's your business to decide to "protect" your customers by canceling sales. In case I haven't made it clear- I'm...really...ticked off. read more

I am very happy with their products, the friendly service and almost overnight delivery. However, stay away from the Red Palm Oil. It is vile in taste and smell and the Vitamins are destroyed by heating it. Since you can't eat it otherwise, what's the point. I did discuss this with a "food research" person, who blew me off with a remark, that every person's taste buds are different. May the good Lord have him fall into an open jar with his mouth wide open! read more

Beware of the Swanson Vitamin coupons. If you reach "$50 and want to use a $10 off or free shipping coupon, it's no good. You need to stay above $50 after the coupon, so you need to order $60 or more. Also, I tried to use a 25% off coupon that included free shipping. It didn't work. I called, and was told that the manufacturer of that product didn't participate in discount programs. Baloney. It was a Swanson coupon; had nothing to do with the manufacturer. Their coupon promotions are deceptive. read more

I ordered at about 4am Wednesday morning, paid $11.95 for a two business day delivery on a $100 order. You'd think, and I'd hoped, that I'd get it Friday night. But no. It's coming Monday night. The rest of the world delivers on Saturday and some even Sunday in Southern California, but not Swanson Vitamins. If I ever have a major complaint about Swanson, or a reason to spend extra and get my vitamins through Amazon, with a guaranteed delivery date, it's Swanson's delivery record-always disappointing unless you order first thing Monday morning. I just wasted $12 and wished I would have bought through Amazon. Slow learner, but not any longer. Semi good quality. Not bad for the price-but you've got to have it in your hand, people, or it means nothing. read more

Health my butt, the product was old, expired. Then I start getting spam email! NEVER AGAIN SWANSON piece of crap company!

Only using one star to get this online. Last summer, according to their employee, company changed hands. Customer service has taken such a dive, it's a horror to deal with them. After being a customer for 15 yrs., I will never again buy Swansons as their online ordering is so aggravating, they advertis discounts that time out, their new people do not know what they are doing and Customer service is pure BS. Don't buy SWANSON, other companies are as cheap and even if more costly, time & aggravation simply is not worth it. read more

I bought through their website (I'm out of State, didn't even know they had a store front). I found this company after googling for companies that sell my baby's organic formula (since it's hard to find locally and/or always out of stock). I had never heard of this company before, and their price on this item was not only lower than what I pay at the store locally, there was no shipping cost either. Relunctantly I made the purchase even though this seemed too good to be true. I was quoted a shipping turn time of about 1 week (from what I recall) and the package came within a few days of order. I am so pleased, I only wished I had known about this company previously, it would've saved me a lot of money on formula! Will definitely buy from them again, and with peace of mind.
