I called around and not only was Classic Deluxe the only cleaner that said they could have it done for me by Friday morning, but they said even later that evening if I can pick it up! Great service and great price as well! I will definitely be coming here in the future to get my shirts done. I even offered to pay an extra fee to expedite it since I thought that would be the norm but the nice woman on the phone just asked if I could bring the suit in now for them to get started on it that that would be great. There's a lot of dry cleaners in Stamford and lots of options but classic deluxe great job and customer service definitely earned me as a customer (even though this is 10 minute drive from me and I live right next ti another cleaner lol!) I like this laundromat in that the equipment is all new, it is not usually crowded, the staff is…read morereally nice, it is (IMPORTANT) well-air conditioned (I am a winter girl and I strongly dislike the summer and the heat) -- but there is one MAJOR issue with it -- no matter what washer I use there -- and I have sensitive skin and use unscented, dye-free detergent, and my clothes always come out smelling like weird perfume. I've actually been unable to get the smell OUT of some clothes so I stopped going there, because it smells like old lady perfume or something and is strong. Once, I did my sheets there and had to re-do them all, because my bed smelled like a herd of old ladies or weird white ladies with bad taste from department stores were sleeping in it. I used to always go to the other one on Main Ave. -- which has a severe lack of washers because the staff uses them and does not care if there are none for customers and will let stuff sit in dryers for a considerable amount of time, even if people are waiting to use them. They suggested East Ave, and like I said, great facility, great people, but I don't understand the perfume smell. If it happened once, I'd not complain -- but it happened more than once, and I really don't like the time waste of doing laundry as it is, so having to do it twice is just painful to me. Maybe they'll look into it. I know I have a bit of a wolf nose, but it IS strong and my husband noticed it, too, since I never smell like old white lady.

Michael and his staff are incredibly kind, service oriented, and knowledgeable…read more I have been the victim of some of my nicer clothing items falling apart and Michael has somehow made them look brand new. They are a family-run shop and treat their customers as such. I recently dropped about ten terms off to repair. The seamstress wasn't sure what I needed done with one of the shirts, so she didn't touch it. When I picked up my other items, Michael and I reviewed what needed to be done and said he would have the shirt for me early the following week at no charge. On the downside was the actual laundry/pressing service they provide. I'm a new customer and on my second batch of dress shirts I dropped off I found two of them damaged when I picked the order up. One had actual burn holes through the fabric (iron was too hot and/or left on too long) and another shirt had brown scorch marks on the sleeve and back. For the first one he asked me what the shirt was worth and put a credit on my customer account for it; with the second shirt he said he thought it was detergent so he sent it through again and, in fairness, it came back fine. A month and a half later I dropped off an order with a different set of shirts. This time (again, white shirt) I got back with blue stains all over the cuffs and a few other areas. Mike said he thought it was maybe dye transfer from laundering it with colored garments so he ran it through again. I got it back and it looked like it had come out but as soon as I got it home under good, bright lighting the blue was still there. At this point I've now had issues with three shirts on two separate orders so I decided it's time to call it a day with this place and I took it to Dean's cleaners in Westport. Not only did they turn it around same day but they got all the blue stains out. Look, I'm sure these guys try to do a great job and they obviously care about their business so I'll give them 2-stars instead of one but the quality speaks for itself and for that reason I'd avoid using them.

Unreliable for time sensitive needs…read more Review for Elegance Cleaners I've been a customer here on and off for years, but after two bad experiences with the I won't be returning. Most recently, I dropped off a jacket on August 25 with a pickup date of September 2. When I went in on September 3--eight days later--it wasn't ready and couldn't be found. I was told it might be ready by 6 PM, but I needed it early the next morning. Previously, I brought a jacket in for alterations and the work wasn't done on time. The hems were rushed and poorly finished, and they couldn't handle the tailoring I needed. This, also, was brought in with ample time and needed desperately. For $14 to clean a jacket, I expected reliability and quality service. Unfortunately, this cleaner hasn't delivered either.
