I brought a cotton Ralph Lauren sweater to be dry cleaned because it has a leather clasp at the waist, which I pointed out when I dropped the item off. Wolfe returned it to me with the leather on the belt buckle side and the clasp side completely, irreparably damaged. It's the first and last time I will ever use this dry cleaner. Beware! read more

I have used them for 4 years- every week. They pick up at my condo and drop off next day. I have had no problems. Not one. I have also never spoken to a person there- that's my definition of the perfect dry cleaner read more

They are the best.Always on time ,neat clean and very good service.Pickup and drop off is always when it is promised. read more

I'm giving 2 stars because we've used them a few times now and things seemed fine. But this last time was probably our largest drop off and I couldn't be more disappointed. There was a t-shirt with the same food mark as when it was dropped off (looks no different and shouldn't be a true stain). A dress that smells just as sweaty as when it was dropped off (gotta love wedding dancing), just to name a couple. We will NOT be going back to this place after this. It's unacceptable and clear things were not cleaned despite being paid in full. read more

Professional and convenient service. They also have a pick-up and drop-off service. Dropped off several pieces on a Friday, and they were ready Monday morning. Everything looked great. Price was also very reasonable, and they even gave a first-time customer discount. Will use them again. read more

Super friendly and speedy! We just moved to the neighborhood and had a baby so their convenient pick up and drop off service is a lifesaver since it's hard to get out and about. read more

My cleaner for the past 20 something years moved away came back to Stamford and they are still my favorite cleaners!!.

This dry cleaner ruined my husbands shirt, told us to come back with a receipt for a new shirt to reimburse us and then refused to make good on that promise. I was told that the original manufacturer of the shirt should pay for it since the care instructions weren't accurate. We had this shirt dry cleaned many times before at other cleaners who did not ruin it. Poor business sense. read more

I call them the stain removers! Great cleaners great service. Always happy there Stamford is lucky to have a "city type" cleaner read more

Wolfe's Dry Cleaners - Laundry Services Near Me - Stamford, Connecticut

Best dry cleaners in Stamford. Very accommodating when I needed my suit cleaned on short notice. Convenient pick up and delivery to my apartment. read more

Friendly, professional, and a staple in Stamford for YEARS. I wouldn't go anywhere else. PS shirts and buttons have a certain lifespan. If it so happens to have ended when they were brought to the cleaners, that's not the fault of the cleaner. I have had elbows rip out of MANY work shirts BEFORE I even started dry cleaning them. Normal wear and tear people. read more

I find Wolfe's cleaners to be very reasonably priced and do an excellent job on my clothes. I had couch covers cleaned there also, and was totally satisfied with the results. The staff is friendly and courteous, and expedient. No issues here. I highly recommend them. read more

They are accomodating, I'll give them that. Happy to turn garments around same day and at least they do the work on premise. If you have nice clothes that you would like to continue wearing take them elsewhere. Several high-end dress shirts taken here came back with faded colors and cracked buttons. The cracked buttons thing really gets me. Stop and look at the shirt before letting it go out! Can I wear it after I leave? Will I get to a business destination and realize I brought shirts with broken buttons?? And really...what is going on with cleaners that buttons are being destroyed on shirts - either melted and deformed or cracked and broken off? WTF read more

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They are very accommodating, and will ensure that you clothing is ready when you need it. In terms of customer service, I have nothing but good things to say. Unfortunately I've had buttons on high end dress shirts cracked here multiple times. I understand if that happens once in a while, and especially with cheaper buttons, but not multiple times with nice ones. This causes me to be concerned about bringing in my custom shirts with peal buttons and woven interlinings. Additionally, when I've asked for no starch I've had shirts come back with regular/heavy starch. read more

My family has been using Wolfe's Cleaners for over 10 years. I have never had an issue and in the event of a "concern;" it can easily be resolved with a conversation. There's a good and simple reason they've been around as long as they have. read more

Fast. Convenient. The only downside is the buttons of my shirts keep getting cracked/broken and no replacements are made. I know have to check all dress shirts after I pick them up, and before I pack them for business meetings. I'll probably try another cleaners, maybe one of those new green cleaners is less harsh. read more

Everytime I come here, I receive exceptional service. I live in the Bronx and work in Stamford but I bring all my garments to Wolfe's because I know they will be well cared for. I highly recommend this business! read more

I've been going to Wolfe's cleaners for 20+ years and have never had an issue with their work. A few times they've even pulled off a miracle. I would recommend them to everyone. read more

They ruined 2 of my shirts. I got them washed and the first time I used both of them they tore from the elbow. Is this a coincidence? I went up to Rick Wolfe and he was unfriendly and did not apologize or offer any compensation. Rest assured I am not going there again. read more

Do not bring expensive clothing, that you care about, to this dry cleaner. I wore designer Rhode dress once and had it dry cleaned. It came back with a huge rip down the front and burn marks on the shoulder. Rick was extremely rude and defensive, he proceeded to tell me I ripped it at the wedding. When I told him, it was an expensive dress and I have only worn it once he stated the dress was poor quality and I am an idiot for buying it. He refused to take ownership for the damage. Do not go to this dry cleaner if you care about your clothing. read more

Great customer service- needed a shirt pressed immediately for an event- they accommodated me right away and had it done within minutes!

I have been going to Wolfe's Cleaners for several years now. Their service has always been great and turnaround time reliable. I still wear wool and wool blend winter coats and linen pants and dresses so that is the bulk of my cleaning though every once get a pesky stain in something. Wolfe's gets it right out. Prices are reasonable too. read more

Best dry cleaner in the area! Fast and friendly service! Pick and delivery service has always been TOP NOTCH! Ricky is a passionate business owner and always exceeds expectations! read more

They have always done good work on my garments. I have used them for years and appreciate the consistent quick turn around. It feels good to support a family business that has been in the community for half a century. Good folks! read more

Do not recommend, they ruined, destroyed an expensive item of clothing and then would not Pay to replace the item or fix the damage they had caused, stating their insurance would not pay out! Very poor, disappointing service and now left with a big bill to replace this item myself! read more

We sent our king size down/alpaca comforter to this dry cleaner place to have it dry cleaned. Despite specific instructions to have it dry cleaned, they didn't follow the directions and our down/alpaca comforter blanket which we paid over $300 dollars directly from a trip in Australia shrunk in half. It should be common sense that if they are going to clean a down comforter/blanket, they should read the instructions on the tag first on the blanket before doing the dry cleaning. This is totally unacceptable and very careless of them and shows a disturbing lack of detail of getting a very straight forward task. read more

I got 2 Groupons for them...I used the first. I gave in 9 items to be dry cleaned, and got back 8 with no notification that one was missing. If it wasn't a unique dress that I knew for certain I had sent in, I may never have realized it was missing. I had to call twice before they were able to locate it and return in. 1 of the other items I sent in came back with more stains than it had before. I decided to get a refund on the second Groupon. Fool me once, shame on me. read more

They do a decent job on your clothes, but the thing that always bugged me was just how dirty the floor was there. The last time I went in this spring the place was covered with dried bits of leaves; dust was everywhere. I've moved on to another service since then because of that. read more

Wolfe's has been able to clean some of the most complicated stains that I have brought them. Very effective, and great service. I highly recommend them read more

Wolfe's has always accommodated my at-times bizarre requests. Clean & press sixteen drapes over the weekend? No problem. Clean and press the suit I am wearing now after someone spilled a plate of pasta on top of me at lunch and I have a business meeting in two hours? No problem. Clean my motorcycle cover? No problem. If ever you need special service, go to Wolfe's. read more

Wolfe's has done an outstanding job for me since 2009. The Wolfe brothers are extremely accommodating to meet my high standards. I also like the two ladies who work at the front counter. I highly recommend Wolfe's Cleaners. read more

Wolfe's cleaners is truly great. They give you personable service and do their dry cleaning right on the spot which means they never lose anything which has happened to me at cleaners where they send stuff out. They can also do repairs for you and have easy parking outside. read more

They said they could dry clean my suit in 4.5 hours - impressive. Silly me, I trusted them and didn't check it before I paid. It still smells like nervous interview sweat. Rip-off. read more

I took a pair of pants to get stitched up for a ripped pocket. A week later I got the pants back and immediately packed them for a business trip (yes, I should have looked). Much to my dismay, when I put them on I found out they were never fixed, they were still ripped, and I couldn't wear them for work. When I took them back and asked the lady what was done to them last time she said, "probably nothing." No apologies, no money refunded, not even an offer to dry clean them for free. She just took them and said to come back in a week. I have always found their customer service to be poor, but the location was so convenient. After this I will gladly look elsewhere. read more

Horrible customer service and disgusting behavior from the owner. I have used their service for many years and have finally had it. A dress came back with new dirty spots and a silk dress was not cleaned entirely. I nicely asked for a refund (as I don't want to take another chance of new spots) and the owner became aggressive and told me it was not their policy to issue refunds. He told me that the other three garments were cleaned correctly, so "they got something right." I asked them to delete my home address and credit card information from their system but was told "it's all encrypted, there is no way for us to access it." They are overpriced and rude. Very unfortunate that an owner cannot accept responsibility and make the situation right. Take the time to seek another company out. read more
