Unreliable for time sensitive needs. Review for Elegance Cleaners I've been a customer here on and off for years, but after two bad experiences with the I won't be returning. Most recently, I dropped off a jacket on August 25 with a pickup date of September 2. When I went in on September 3--eight days later--it wasn't ready and couldn't be found. I was told it might be ready by 6 PM, but I needed it early the next morning. Previously, I brought a jacket in for alterations and the work wasn't done on time. The hems were rushed and poorly finished, and they couldn't handle the tailoring I needed. This, also, was brought in with ample time and needed desperately. For $14 to clean a jacket, I expected reliability and quality service. Unfortunately, this cleaner hasn't delivered either. read more

I have used this dry cleaner ever since I moved to Norwalk 20yrs ago. My sister took a pair of Valentino pants to be cleaned and when she picked it up, it was clearly shrunken and no longer fit. My sister returned to the store and asked to speak to the owner and was told to come back in several occasions. She was finally able to speak to the owner who promptly told her to leave the store and told her husband to call the police. In addition, she refused to give the pants back to my sister. This is totally unprofessional. These were not a pair of pants from Target. They just need to admit that mistakes get made sometimes and compensate my sister for her garment. Also she made a comment about "your kind" causing problems. Well she won't be getting money from me or anyone in my family again. read more

I have used this service for the past several years. And despite numerous issues always gave them the benefit of the doubt. They misplaced my husband coat and swore they did not have it, eventually it "turned up"! They lost two shirts for six months which again miraculously appeared without any apologies. And there were several other mistakes that I always forgave. But I finally had enough after paying $120 to get my dress hemmed, on the condition that if I needed to get it shorter I would not be charged any additional expenses. But when I took it back to get it shortened I was told it was an additional $40. I do not trust them at all. And even with the ticket they swore that they didn't have certain items that they did! I would not use this service ever again. read more

Took my Valentino pants to get cleaned , when I got my pants back they shrink it. Am trying to get the older Asian lady but the young girl keeps giving me the runaround . She needs to get the owner or a manager to contact me to address the issue. read more

This review is not about the inner stuff that is responsible with the cleaning nor about the quality of the cleaning. It is about a specific lady who is the owner or part owner. She is a nasty aggressive individual with no manners, no care about the customer. There was an issue regarding pricing on alterations, an error on their part. No willingness to compromise even after talking with her husband who agreed to a solution. She was screaming, had a get out attitude and put her employees in the middle of a sensitive situation. She was actually withholding my cleaning articles. Spend a good hour attempting to get what was mine. On the reasons stated above I would not recommend this establishment and will actively work on discouraging family and friends of using them. read more

This company has been dry cleaning our lab coats (healthcare provider) for over a month and I look forward to putting one on in the morning. It's ironed well, without that stiff starch feeling, and compliments the softness of the cotton fabric. Also, they use detergents that are truly organic! They ruined my daughters prom dress we brought it in to get shortened and have the shoulders brought up. Instead they tightened the dress and cut the fabric so we could not get it re-fixed and let out. They ruined her $400 dress. Plus when I pick up the dress the owner told me her niece had tried it on and loved it I don't know if they tightened it to fit the niece. I advise not to have anything tailored there!!
