I went into Friendly Cleaners yesterday with little hope. I had a beautiful red gown that had water stains everywhere. Forgive me if I am mistaken on the gentleman at the front desk, I think his name is Will, but he was very attentive and helped me weigh the options of whether it was worth attempting to dry clean as water stains are seemingly the most difficult to get out. I was a bit indecisive, so he let me know if they tried once and it didn't seem to lift the stains he would not charge me. Long story short. I returned later that day and picked up what looked like a brand new dress. You couldn't tell it was ever water-stained head to toe! Several times I went to wear the item they had cleaned only to find that the stain was not removed yet I was not made aware of it but w the added benefit of paying for a still soiled garment, burned the collar of my husbands shirt too. Unwilling to provide good customer service- just the basics- no questions, no additional suggestions or options for cleaning or tailoring one's garments. No apology when it was brought to their attention too. There are over a 1/2 dozen cleaners in town so trust me, save yourself the potential frustration & go else where. read more

I gave them my cashmere sweater to dry clean and they ruined it. Not only did they leave a whole in the front of the sweater, but they crudely attempted to sew it up. Even worse they did not tell me of the damage and merely returned it without saying a word. Completely unprofessional and deceitful. read more

Bad customer service. I used to think this place was fine until today. I paid for a pair of pants to be hemmed and when I brought them back because they were still too long they in fact confirmed that there was a mixup and they didn't do the hemming. However because it had been more than 30 days (it had been 60 because I hadn't tried them on till this week) since the original request, I now had to pay AGAIN to get them hemmed. Poor customer service for the 1 star when there was an issue - used to be my favorite cleaner for many years until I had a situation this week: last year end of season took a white jacket to be cleaned. Picked it up (did not check jacket/lesson learned) and as is with paper over jacket shoulders and plastic over the whole jacket (as they give it to you to protect it from dust) placed it in the closet. This month took it out for the summer season. When I lifted the paper/plastic off of it I noticed -OMG- brown stain at the collars lapel one the whole side of the left shoulder and "ring around the collar" as if it was not cleaned in that area-different stain than the lapel and shoulder. Took it backed and asked to correct issue. She the owner said I need to pay (I didn't feel it was my doing to create the stain - She said it was water stain from moisture trapped inside the garment). The paper should have absorbed the moisture and it was a loose bag hanging in the closet and had air circulation) - the son told mother he will take care of it and I figured will be a zero charge. I went to pick it up and she said the charge was $11 dollars the same fee I paid in November. I told her to let's compromise as I don't feel I should be charged and i will pay her 1/2 this way we both share the issue. She said NO - asked me to take the jacket and NEVER come back there. WOW - so for $5.50 she decided to lose a customer (not that she cares that she did) that offered to make a compromise to a still slightly damaged jacket. She said she was upset - really she was upset and I am the customer with the issue- Extremely disappointed by the style/manner in which she chose to deal with the situation! Beware- CHECK your clothes - Lesson learned: take off any paper that covers the garment and look at it right than and there this way you will see if there is anything with/ on the garment. read more

Would give a zero star if I could. Owner (I believe she is the owner.), is obnoxious and rude. She has always been brusk with me, I can ignore that. She ruined several of my clothes over a 6 months period. I told her she did nothing, just gave me another cleaning free each time. Those where just everyday wear clothes so, I let it go. She then ruined a beautiful, one of a kind designer evening gown. That dress was a gift, my mother in law bought me in Beverly Hills. It was a $6,000 dress. Ruined, destroyed, beads off all over the place, and the silk torn in many places. Again, she only offered me a free cleaning next time. When I told her that was not acceptable and that not only did I want my money back, but that I wanted her to replace that dress. Which I cannot get an exact, but a similar from that designer. She said NO, that I brought my clothes there at my own discretion basically, that they are not responsible for damage. That if it occurs it is because the clothing is not cleanable. Something to that affect. She acted like she was the client and I was the person damaging her cloths! I told her that she was not a dry cleaner and did not know what she was doing. And asked if she had any formal training prior to opening this store. She told me to get out! And not come back. I told her I have a receipt for the dress when it was purchased last year, I have the ruined dress and I have the receipt showing I paid her for cleaning it. When she cleaned it all she did was put a note on the dress that it cannot get any cleaner. But it was ruined in the process of her aggressive and filthy hands all over it.. I told her she will hear from my lawyer. She turned her back to me and literally laughed out loud! DO NOT GO THERE..HORRIBLE PEOPLE! read more
