I had always presumed Brothers specialised just in Chinese food but it turns out it's got pretty much a full Asian fusion menu, this was a nice surprise. Having said that, on Saturday night we were feeling particularly fragile and not too adventurous so we opted for dished we knew and loved. We went for Salted chili chicken, honey chili chicken, a portion of rice and a portion of chips. This was easily enough for three full meals with loads left over. Portion sizes are huge. In terms of taste the salted chili chicken was one of the best I've had but the honey chili chicken was a little different, it's flavour was slightly more honey than chili and they sauce was a little rich for my taste. Having said that I ate the whole thing. The whole ordering process was great. We ordered over the phone, but there is the option to order online. Instead of getting delivery I went to collect the food. The shop/kitchen were clean and modern and also well staffed - I think that's why the order was fulfilled so quickly. Overall a really good experience with Brothers. My first time ordering from them, but certainly not my last.

The idea is that they grow all the produce on their farm just outside Donaghadee, then they put together different assortments to meet the needs of their clients. I found out about this business thanks to my sister, she told me that they provide weekly batches of fruit to my nieces nursery. They are very keen on organic self sufficient produce and they reckon that this makes their fruit and veg boxes taste better. This emphasis on nutrition has captured the attention of many schools in the area. I had some of the fruit from Flavour First and to be honest I did not really notice the difference in organic produce compared to what you would buy in the supermarket. But then again I am not expert, one thing is for sure is that it is nice and handy for business's putting on buffets for staff to have flavour first at the other end of the phone.

It may be a change in staff here I don't know but there's only one thing they need to do now - their prawn crackers are the cheaper product. Delivery is always very quick but not too quick, sometimes you get a bit suspicious of Chinese restaurants who deliver too quickly but this one takes just about the right amount of time to be prompt but not make you worry that your food has been pre cooked. Freshness is definitely a trait of this Chinese. My dish of choice is always shredded honey chili chicken and Bawon make it to perfection - funny thing is that I walked past the other day and I could smell it cooking in the kitchen and had a massive craving for it. I just about suppressed my desire for it but writing this is bringing all those feelings up again! Delivery drivers are always really courteous and importantly they seem to know their way around Bangor and in particular the Ballyholme area. You don't have to order your food over the phone, you can also walk in but expect a short wait. Overall I am a fan of Bawon - as others have mentioned Bangor is a competitive Chinese Takeaway market and Bawon definitely holds it's own.

Top class, I uad a juicy lucy burger which is a burger infused with cheese topped with bacon and mickeys house sauce..... Amazing! We all had a taste of each others plates, taco fries are probably the best in Belfast and the philly cheesesteak sandwhich which is also in my picture is just delicious!
