Whilst my overall impressions of the store have not changed, could the management at Tesco please, please, for God's sake please, put some more checkout staff on the tills on a Saturday afternoon? The queue for the self service tills was at least 20 deep and as usual, one of the two tills that you can buy alcohol at was broken, which as most of the people in the queue were carrying a bottle of something was not good news, even the queues at the regular tills were three or four deep, whilst a good number of tills were unmanned. Also, could you make the self service tills 10 items or less, people trying to do a full shop and the resultant "unexpected item in the bagging area" cries from the till, are wearing to say the least!
I know Tesco are probably trying to save money on staff, but the money they lost from people setting goods down and walking out in the 15 or so minutes I was queued for would have paid for a staff member for a full hour, the only reason I didn't walk was my favourite Crabbies isn't available in the local offies.
On other minor gripe, I have a Tesco vacumn cleaner, but you cannot buy the bags in Tesco, even a huge store like this, only order them off the internet, a minor PITA but worth mentioning anyway! read more
