A handy little lunchtime local for me! This M&S is in a little 'enclave' alongside Jellybean Café (another of my lunchtime haunts) and AXA Insurance branch - a shared car park is available for all three. This one is simply a 'Food Hall' so a small branch, but one that still packs a punch. The store is well laid out and staffed by a friendly team. I would mostly go for lunch - they have all the usual soups, sandwiches, hummus and dips, drinks etc, and as it is Marks, you know you are getting something good! They also sell canned goods, ready meals (perfect for those lazy Fridays when I don't want to cook but don't want a greasy takeaway) alcohol, soft drinks, biscuits and sweets. As mentioned above, this M&S shares a small car park with 2 other businesses, so it can be slightly chaotic trying to get parked at times, but it's a brilliant, handly little store!

I love M&S food (but then who doesn't?), and these little stores are fab for picking up a few bits and bobs, and as Declan says, you'll be wanting to pop in for a those delectable delights that are simply calling your name... Unfortunately (for me), this M&S Simply Food store is the closest one to me following the closure of the shop in Ards Shopping Centre. It was super handy, and every time I was in I paid a visit, but with this one being a good 15-20 minute drive down the road, I haven't been able to indulge in my favourite M&S goodies as much as I would have liked. In fact, until the other day I can't actually remember the last time I was in this one... My friend and I would always pop down to M&S when we were in sixth form in school, despite the fact that we weren't meant to walk any further than Tesco up the road. Ah well. The bakery section was always a favourite, particularly the lovely warm cookies. Mmm. Percy Pigs were a close second, or a packet of jaffa cakes. Furthermore, despite the fact that it's 'Simply Food', they do have a few cards and accessories (umbrellas etc) and toiletries, which came in useful on more than one occasion. Well, you know what they say - this isn't any store, this is an M&S store. Oh wait...

Delicious. Forgot to mention ketchup in the recipe.

It was only then that I realised it was actually quite good. Fruit and veg arrives daily with nice additions like papaya, watermelons, kumquats and persimmons. The little bakery has fresh baked bread made on site along with pastries, buns, donuts, cookies and scones. All really well priced. There is a big selection of regular bagged breads, pancakes and wraps etc. Also gluten free ranges of bread, rolls and rice/corn cakes. Irish, grass fed beef is pretty good. Reasonably big range of fresh meat and already cooked. The beef pastrami is very good! The constant rotation of different county produce each month is a great addition. Things like lovely Greek yogurt, olives, spreads and very good pittas from Greece, baklava, hummus and beans from Turkey or flavoured oils, vinegars and cured meats from Spain. The have 10 pack of Belgium caramel waffles at £1.50 that taste exactly like Starbucks 2 pack that cost about 62 quid There is a forever changing middle section with homeware, kitchenware, gardening, tools, school stuff and fitness etc. The alcohol section has some super cheap beer and cider deals. Most of the spirits are cheaper brands(the ones that give killer hangovers) Some things to avoid: The herbs/spices, they are pretty wick apart from the white pepper. Baresa olives! The black ones are awful. Dentalux toothpaste. The staff are mostly friendly.

I'm a fan of their vegetarian foods and Sainsbury's own brand items (love Sainsbury's Nut Cutlets and veggie mince). They have the best labelling of all the supermarkets with all their own brand products clearly labelled as to whether or not they are vegetarian or BUAV approved (not tested on animals). In addition their brand match scheme ensures you don't pay more with Sainsbury's than with another supermarket. As per Sainsbury's website "When you buy ten or more different products, we'll tot up the comparable brands in your basket. If you could have paid less at Asda - even because of the deal - we'll give you a coupon for the difference off your next shop." I always use my brand match vouchers at my next Sainsbury's grocery shop. Plus their wine selection is superior to all other supermarket selections. Quality store with unbeatable prices, pleasant to browse and lovely, helpful staff. Perfect. At Christmas and New Year Sainsbury's have a special range of fabulous food you can order and collect in store, I would especially recommend the: *Three nut roast with cranberry sauce *Butternut & mushroom en croute *Limoncello buche de Noel If you want indulgent, treat foods try Sainsbury's 'Taste The Difference' range. This blows every other supermarkets 'luxury' items clean out of the water. Definitely the best you'll get, bar none.

The supermarket has all the stuff you would expect and more, and is a good place to get all your weekly shop done. They have a very large fruit and veg section, complete with salad bar if you are that way inclined, with a very large delicatessen meat and cheese counter. The store also has a large range of magazines, books, CDs, DVDs and games, and is always worth a check for a better price if you are about to buy a recently released item from HMV. As for the rest of the store there is a large range of everything as you would expect. The store has its own cafe which is good for pacifying those who have been dragged along or those who have worked up a hunger in their arduous shopping trip! The store also has installed self scanning machines, which is a real boost to customers as they can get in and for a few items much faster than in the past! I will sign off with a tip: try the white chocolate and cranberry cookies from here. You will not find a better cookie from any supermarket, pinky promise!

First up - this Tesco store isn't 24 hours, don't be caught out! It does have extended opening hour but it's definitely not open all the time. The car park is huge and there's a bottle bank and recycling point right at the back - a handy place to get rid of those post party bottles. The shop itself is huge. They have a Timpsons locksmiths at the entrance so if you need to get a key cut or a shoe mended you can leave it in here and pick it up when you've done your shop. There's also an optician at the back of the store so if you are confusing potatoes and tomatoes I'd pop in here for a check up. A recent addition to this store is the home ware and electronics department which pretty much covers every area. The only thing holding this store back is the lack of manned check outs. They seem to have invested heavily in self service areas but the problem is that most people come here for a big shop and not a few bits therefore rendering these useless as no one wants to stand and scan 1 million items. Really convenient store with loads of wee extras to make life a bit simpler - A-OK!

Its open 24 hours which is a plus, which I have had to make use of a number of times due to shopping emergencies etc. The only reason I did not give it a 5 Star is because when you do make use of the 24 hour service, some of the Isles are closed off with the staff replenishing stock levels which can be quite annoying especially if you are after something in particular. The store has a scan as shop service which is really convenient, you scan the items as you shop, place them into your bags in the trolley then pay for everything at the end of your shop! There is also a 24 hour garage at the Tesco which again comes in handy.
