Love this place so much! Haven't been in a while and myself and a few other members of the family ranging feom 3 yrs old to 53 years old called in for some lunch. We sat outside as it was a rare sunny day in Belfast. The place itself is pretty cool, free WiFi and at a good location but what does it for me and the reason for the 5 stars (which I rarely give) is the customer service it is up there with the best I have ever had. All the staff are amazing and talk to you like the have known you alll your life. The food? Top class, I uad a juicy lucy burger which is a burger infused with cheese topped with bacon and mickeys house sauce..... Amazing! We all had a taste of each others plates, taco fries are probably the best in Belfast and the philly cheesesteak sandwhich which is also in my picture is just delicious! I would definitely recommend here to anyone looking a burger or a dog, next time I'm in the mood for one, I know where I'm heading. read more

Second time I've eaten at Mikey's, first time reviewing. First time I was sensible and just ordered a Sloppy Joe, so this time I thought I'd give their cheesesteak a go. Opted for the Firey Philly, pretty much the regular one with jalapeños and hot sauce. At £6, it might seem a bit much for the sandwich, but after a short wait, something the size of a newborn child was brought out to to me, along with a handful of napkins warning me it can get a bit messy... ... And it did. However the majority of it, which fortunately went into my mouth, was fantastic. A really great sandwich that was extremely moreish, perfect amount of heat, and a hell of a lot of meat and jalapeños. Mikey's is a pretty small joint, but the people who eat there are friendly, the staff are even friendlier, and you'll leave the place with a big smile on your face before you head home and have a serious food-nap. I'd walked past Mikey's Deli a couple of times in the last month and had spotted people eating out of what looked to be dog bowls? Today I went in to investigate. I've never been made to feel so welcome in a restaurant in Belfast! The lady at the counter was incredibly friendly, asking what sort of food we usually ate and what she would recommend. She had such fantastic energy about her and I was very happy with my choice, even before I'd ordered. The menus are held by Xbox game boxes and some of the dishes are in fact served in dog bowls, quirky! I ordered a Sloppy Joe burger with fries and I was not disappointed. The whole vibe of the place was very NYC. After inhaling the food we were allowed to go over to the orange wall and sign our names. I will DEFINITELY be back for round two, keep up the good work guys! read more

Decided to get a spot of lunch in here, I got the £5 deal which was a cheeseburger, fries and a drink pretty good deal. The fries were plentiful and tasted delicious and were nice and crispy, the burger bun was nicely toasted and loaded with cheese, spicy burger sauce and lettuce, the burger tasted nice but I was expecting better was a bit like a burger van burger but for £5 it was a good deal and very filling. The garlic mayo was nice and flavoursome, creamy. The staff were extremely helpful and very chatty and friendly. Defo be back to try other items on the menu. read more

Mikey's has been my savour and salvation on plenty of Friday and Saturday evenings. I can't comment on their day service but I can give you the low down of what Mikey's is like post 1am. Firstly Mikey's is next door to the Northern Whig so come 1am on a Saturday and Friday it can get very busy. Last weekend I went to Mikey's after an evening at The Dirty Onion. The food is excellent and a little different form your usual kebab shop. I got a bolognaise chip, if you haven't had one then you're missing out. Decent price for good hearty grub. The staff are excellent and are really chatty despite the multitude of drunks they will inevitably have to deal with. Mikey's is quite a handy place to hail a taxi from after a night out - it's on the always busy Bridge Street so why not get a good feed while you're waiting for your carriage. read more

Cracking little gem providing American style munchies in the heart of Belfast. First time I wondered in looking lost at what to order or do, I was pounced upon by a friendly member of staff. He gave me a run down of my options, and after asking me a few simple questions recommended me the Philly cheese steak, the speciality apparently! After a short wait I handed an sizeable sub which was could of easily hit the spot alone, but as I opted for the meal deal I walked away with some skinny fries on the side, and a tin of diet coke to balance it all out of course. All in all a it was great feed served by welcoming staff. I Would happily recommend anyone to swing by one day, when you are looking for a big feed. read more

It's the best lunch you'll get for a fiver in the city centre. Needs more tables, but if you get a window seat it's perfect for people watching. The sloppy Joe is the best in town and the guys are friendly and super informative. It's proper NY street food, with epic portions and tiny prices. read more

Popped in here for a burger I desperately needed. Went to an event thinking the food and drink would be enough, but alas I got no food, only drinkies, which left me a bit sick. Mikey's saved me with their pleasant attitudes, dispite it being very late at night, and delicious and filling food. I grew up in burgers and chips and these guys serve up a pretty amazing burger and some mean chips. I have heard they do a great lunch menu to. I highly recommend if you are around this area and in need of food, don't feel lost! As I know the choice around here at night isn't great, but there is a real winner in Mikey's Deli. read more

Mikeys deli is situated in Belfast city centre next to the Northern wig, it is also busy and opens late too! I've been loads since it opened and wrote my name on the walls a few times (yes your allowed to and they let you if you ask) the staff are always friendly and cheery. The menu is like an American dinner/deli and it is very tasty.. my favourite item on the menu is the juicy lucy which is a double burger with lots of cheese with lettuce and the amazing east coast sauce they use is delicious! One word... Awesome! I have to admit that after being here in NI for a year I have been missing some of the food from home. I have found my fix! Had the NY Burger and got to try the Harlem burger (chicken) as well. Also had an order of BBQ wings which absolutely deserve high marks. Lastly the shoestring fries are good but the onion rings are off the chart. The lunch deal for £5 is one of the best values for a meal that I have come across. You simply can't go wrong by stopping here for some good ol American style grub. read more
