Ordered a engine that was supposed to be tested and cleaned. It came filthy with a blown cylinder. They refused to answer emails or return phone calls. They delete all posts on their FB that are negative. They string you along till you are out of the warranty window or the window to dispute it on your credit card. Their customer service people (SANCHO) are as worthless as the company they work for. read more

SW Engines - Auto Repair Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Do Not Buy from SWengines the are con artists! They do not have the engine in stock! They take your money , than they Scramble to find an engine, it's not as advertised...Don't beleive me ask for the Vin Number , in writing! they probably will not furnish it, because they don"t have that engine. I will file a breach of contract with my credit card company Vs this company , and they better not say they are charging a restocking fee ifor an engine they never had in stock!. read more

Twy are scam artists. Do not buy. All advertising is fake. They do not have any engines they look for it after you buy it. What you get it a busted engine that is junk, not tested, not the mileage on it. Still waiting on a refund. They will keep your money and try to get 25% restocking fee saying they send you a tested motor. Going on since May 2021 still fighting company for money back. read more

Beige Flags / Red Flags (don't buy) Sales person for SW Engines quoted "A long block engine ready to drop in. Only thing you need to change is the thermostat." Shipping took a little long. Once engine arrived, realized it will need more than "...just a thermostat." Had to clean out water, replaced almost every item but the heads. Filed a warranty submission on their website. Should have been my red flag right there. Check it out, maybe one of the best warranty submission pages on a website I've seen! They are set up to handle all the problems they sell (and void warranty submissions). Cannot talk to a person during the process. And don't expect to have anything covered as SW Engines appears to have a catch all clause to prevent them from refunds. I have already submitted my notes and talked with warranty reps / managers. They choose not to recognize their sales rep lied. So I will help to warn customers not to use them. Note: for any employee at SW Engines that would like to address this, my invoice number is 438083. Additional Note: sales rep name was Donavan ext. 2187. P.S. I made a yelp just to warn future customers to not use SW Engines. read more

ZERO!!! SCAMMERS!!!! This company false advertises engines & Transmissions that a junk. They use multiple company names such as, Engine & Transmission World (& Team), Jasper, SW Engines, Quality Used Engines & Transmission(& also Team), Gear Head Engines, Engine Shopper LLC, and many more! They send bad engine (RUSTED, hydrocarbon issues), don't refund for core, IF you get a 2nd engine They don't pay for the labor to have their bad engine replaced! They claimed I never did the warranty although I called them several times a day (hang ups, transfer to, no one answers) for 6 months now. I WONT STOP! It's all a SCAM & THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!! SUBMITTED request for GOOGLE to Shut Down their pages!!! Read the reviews and you will find the links. People are getting ripped off everywhere. Multiple lawsuits and I'm working with the DA. This company sucks!!! we spent over $4000 on an engine that was trash and only driving it about 700 miles! We have gone through all of the hoops for the claim process(ASE certified mechanic, engine diagnostic report, pics of heat tabs, towed to original mechanic after being told there was metal pieces in the oil and a knocking after engine heated up and hood open so it would not be driven all at our expense) Filed a claim, was told the replacement would be there on the 10th and crap one picked up the 13th(Engine has to be at original drop off place), had our mechanic change his schedule to get this done, only to be told on the 11th that they will pick up the crap engine first (vehicle was still on the lift so now our mechanic is losing money waiting for them to pick up the crap engine and drop off new one or replace chassis to get off lift at our expense) only to then be told no we are not picking it up but sending the replacement, to then be told again no we are picking it up but we want pictures that it is out and ready for pick up..(which was sent) to now nothing and being hung up on by the manager Allen. We have spoken to several representatives, emailed, called and I am still waiting for the replacement of the crap motor they gave us. We are at the point of getting our Attorney involved to get this resolved. We just want a replacement engine for the one they sold us that was clearly not tested before resale. This is a nightmare and I will never ever recommend this company! read more

I gave SW Engines my VIN so that they knew to send me a dodge 4.7 ltr engine with the 16 tooth crankshaft tone wheel. They expect to deal with experienced mechanics, I'm a backyard mechanic so it took me 8 months from the delivery date to realize that I can't trust this company, 8 months of mental anguish and depression. And we'll past return date. They sent me an engine with the 32 tooth tone wheel when they told me they sent one with the 16 tooth tone wheel. They didn't check to see if the product matched with the discription. Left uncorrected this kind of problem will quickly ruin a company. Just make sure you know exactly what you are doing if you buy from them. read more

SWEngines represented that they had my replacement inventory, which they did not. Consequently it took over two weeks to deliver the engine I purchased. Their warranty is a sham. They advertise 5/50, which seems very generous. The fine print reveals that the warranty must be activated within 10 days of DELIVERY- VERY UNREASONABLE. read more

Horrible customer service if you have a problem with a engine. Apparently you void warranty if you inspect anything inside the engine before installation. It make no sense to install If a motor that looks like it was left in a river bed without inspecting . Then you will be hung up on the phone for weeks just for calling the warranty line trying to deal with any warranty problem. Please read reviews on line not on there web sight before purchasing or you will be sorry. If there was a negative ten rating they would get it. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL We ordered an engine on 4/6. They did advised us it could take up to 10 days to ship out. We were ok with that. When more than 10 days past and we didn't get any email with tracking # we called. We were told that they were waiting for a truck to come to Texas so they shipped it to us that it would be about another week or so. We understood seeing they were not charging shipping. We waited another week or so and called back on a Wednesday and said that it was at their Texas Warehouse and it would be shipped out on Friday and we should receive an email. No email was ever sent and by Tuesday we called back. When they answered, I have them my invoice # as always. They put me on hold for a while and when they came back on the line she said they were not able to find it so she could not give me even an ETA, mind you it's been over a month now. So we decided to cancelled it seeing they couldn't tell me now when I would get it. She said she would have to send an email to us to cancel it, we were still on the line when I received the email. I read it and asked her that it said we were being charged a 25% restocking fee. She said and I quote "you will not because we never shipped the engine" (I did record the call once she said they could not find the engine) she had CC her Supervisor Sancho which is a very rude person. My husband had talked to him previously and he had the audacity to tell my husband he was too busy for this and hang up on him. When I called several time and finally got a hold of him because we were still charged the 25% he said he was not the supervisor of refunds and if I had the recording as I said to send it to him and he would review it. Which I did and here we are almost 2 weeks and several calls and emails to no avail. This company for me has been a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I hope this really help the people to know what kind of people they are dealing with. Moving forward price may not be a factor seeing I still had order our Engine from another vendor. Paid a little more but the agent that gave us the quote and all is very polite and answers all the questions we had. read more

Fraud, stay away! I bought a used 6.6L LB7 Duramax diesel engine with an advertised mileage of 93,000 miles. What showed up is an engine with 293,000 miles. SCAMMED ME OUT OF $3000 It took almost 30 days for them to send out a motor they promised I would get in 14. The motor was not shipped according to how they said (i.e shrink wrapped) but it was on a 3x3 pallet, on the back of a flat bed. Exposed. The engine was rusty and full of water, it had broken and missing parts when it arrived. Totally unusable. I tried contacting SWE several times in regards to the condition of the motor and to seek some sort of resolution. At first I was getting the run around then I was getting shifted to different departments to which referred me to other departments. No clear person to talk to to handle the situation. I even tried to get them to speak with the mechanic in regards to the condition of the motor. Nothing. Two months later I had to go through my bank to get a refund because they refused to send a return shipping label or honor their own warranty after I sent them the pictures they required of the motor. Customer service was rude and evasive and kept transferring my calls and complaints to people who did not exist. They continually told me that a supervisor would contact me and yet to date I have received zero calls from anyone from the company. We found out later that the motor came from a salvage yard, they never had it in stock, or cleaned it or any other lie they come up with to get you to buy from them. (Pictures upon request). read more

I purchased an engine sold by a company these people also own called used.remanns.com. Apparently they have several names they are selling parts under, so they're hard to track down. Garbage company. It took them a month to send me a replacement engine to start with. Then, I have been trying to get them to pay to repair the engine that they sold me for 2 1/2 months. (It was for the wrong year vehicle and the camshaft sprocket had to be replaced to get the engine to even run). I ended up just installing the new part after waiting, and now they say I have violated their terms and conditions and the warranty is now voided. read more

On 2/4/23, I ordered a transmission from Remanns company. They mailed the transmission to me within 2 weeks. When the transmission arrived at the shop, and the tech installed it, it would not program to the car, the transmission was faulty, and the codes failed I immediately called the company to input a warranty claim, and after a month of constantly calling their customer service (with no help), not receiving a response from emails, I finally got an email back (with no phone call or explanation) saying that I drove the car before reprogramming it. I explained to them that there was no way I could drive a car, and the programming failed, the car won't move! Now I am out of $2095, and an additional $1441 for labor that I paid to install the transmission and no one will call me to discuss this. A friend recommended SWEngines and I took his word for it -- I rank this among the top three worst decisions I have ever made, and I don't remember the other two. One disaster after another. I completed my order 13 May, 2023. "Thank you for your recent order (Invoice # 417917) from SWEngines.com: 300-77240 2016 Nissan Frontier Engine 4.0L (VIN A, 4th digit, VQ40DE) We truly value your business" 16 May I received a notification from them the order was being processed and will ship in 7-14 business days. On 31 May, I received an apology for a "slight delay". Finally shipping confirmation on 5 June. Then I get this on 7 June, "Sent paperwork to the warehouse to get this picked up and they loaded it onto the incorrect truck. Should have it back here in the next few days and then reship out to you, that transit time is 3-4 business days. You should receive this by next week." Followed by more reassurances on 12 June, "First and foremost, we want to apologize for having to send another email about a delay with your order. Rest assured, YOUR order is our top priority." Then on 19 June "I see this was returned to the warehouse but not sure why they havent given me the ok to reship yet. Ill reach out to my contact in the morning and get this resolved." 20 June "I got it figured out, pushing this onto the truck today to head your way. Transit times are between 3-5 business days from my estimation." FINALLY the engine shows up 9 July. But guess what - the engine oil cooler is busted as it sits on the shipping container. It is a +$400 OEM part that I find for just over $300 including tax and shipping. I figure no problem SWEngines has a warrantee program. Right? - On 11 July, I requested that SWEngines simply pay for the replacement oil cooler part. I sent pictures and the invoice for the part from eBay. Their response on 13 July was, "Please be informed that we will get the engine return. Please get the engine ready for pick up so that return label will be sent to you." I have to prepare the engine and pay to have it sent back to SWEngines and either request a refund - assuming they acknowledge responsibility - or pay to have a replacement shipped to me. What kind of a warrantee is that?? I cannot count the number of times I called SWEngines trying to get help. I cannot count the number of times I was told the someone would get back to me and never once did. read more

All their engines and warranties is based in a misleading information- Their are scam artists - starting from the general manager in top and all the way down to rest of staff. They don't keep engines in stock , what SW engine does is buying from other parties or affiliates- There are a lot of websites that claim to have used engines for sale but don't hold any of their inventory and SW Engines is one of them , You aren't buy directly from the source in this case SW Engines , why do you think SW engines tell you that you engine will get to you around 14 days or more - (red flag ) they will tell that during all this shipping time they are doing test on the engine and making sure you are going to receive a good engine , but that is not the true ,They waiting for their affiliates to respond . Check by your self , google your specific engine and you will find that engine in different shops or junkyard all over the country so when you buy an engine from SWEngines they will order to those affiliates and then you will get it , The chances are that engine will come defective , internal parts broken , burned engine , water inside on the engine and you name it. Just imagine the whole process if you got rip off with the engine - SW engines is using a software finder that even you can buy yourself and tell you who has this engine in stock . The warranty is a Joke - BE Aware - You will get the YO-YO conversation and ping pong ball Game ,They wont give you any solution and you will lose your money - Unless you dispute with your credit card merchant that you was cheated by professional scammers . Most evil, lying, conniving people I have ever encountered. Over 2 months ago, they took all of my money and sent me 2 core engine. I was told (as advertised) that I would get a quality low miles/ used engine. First had broken timing chain, rusted rocker arms, metal in the oil pan, broken fan, among other things. Second engine had a broken ring and God knows what else. Over 2 months! And they still refuse to refund my money. Custom service (Sancon Pike) has been dodging my calls for 3 weeks! My money is gone. ****WARNING Activate warranty within 10 days or lose extended warranty on invoice**** Just giving the honest feedback They talk about a warranty, but don't give it to you unless you activate. They won't stress activating it either so you lose out. This is a realistic review for this company. You just have to be careful and read the "fine print." We purchased a motor from SWEngines and had issues with the engine. We called when we had the issue and they began the warranty process. They dropped the ball because after a month with no feedback I follow up and they tell me it's on the way you will get a tracking next day.... like other reviews state. I'm happy we have the engine warranty, but this is where I talk about the "fine print" I'm pretty sure they talk about the 5 year extended warranty and everyone including (Elvis in his grave) would like this warranty. They have a portion on invoice that gives you 10 days to fill out and activate the warranty or lose it for good. We did not fill out the portion because that was sent to the shop the vehicle being repaired went to. Our fault for not activating that warranty. I'm pretty sure they hope people forget or don't see it because anyone would activate a warranty. It would be stupid not to. Like I said they are working with us, but I felt I had to give some honest feedback. Scott Green is the warranty manager. Scott was not rude, but probably could care less because have it in "fine print" about being Shit out of luck. Also, mentioned no one above him. Scott is happy to turndown extended warranties with no empathy. In the end I should have read reviews and hired a lawyer before I do business with them to begin with. Lol read more

Do not trust these guys. They sold a bum engine then would not cover the parts needed to make the repairs so it would run again. We drove 3800 miles on an engine that supposedly had 38,000 miles and the check engine light came on and there were issues with the camshaft in bank two phasers and sensors. $1900 of repairs needed, they claim their warranty only covers $610 worth of the parts and labor! After I paid a little more for this engine because of the warranty coverage! MAJOR RIP OFF! I want to do all I can to keep anyone from making the same mistake i did and will post this review anywhere I can find to post it! read more

I have to say that ordering the engine was easy and even got a $200 discount and the shipping was within the time they said it would be. BUT....when the engine arrived you could surely tell it came from a northern state, for an engine that only has 85.000 on it it surely is rusty. And a few of the parts were broken. My biggest problem with them is the warranty, you can almost forget about it unless you do every little thing they say. The one thing is from the time the engine arrives you have 10 days to have it in and running or no warranty. Now ol Bubba down the street sitting in his shed with a beer in his hand might be able to put it in in 10 days but a Reputable shop that has a lot of business you have to wait till they get the chance to put it in and it might take them longer than 10 days and in my case it did. When I called them they didn't care "VOID WARRANTY" even though my shop wire brushed and painted all the rust, replaced parts and ALL the gaskets it didn't matter. I guess they want you to just throw it in and fire it up. They say they have the best warranty in the business, I think not oh and BTW you can forget about getting the money back on your core because it will cost you more to ship it back than you paid for the core deposit so they get another $500 out of you. And I'm not going to get into how rude they talk to you from ordering to the warranty dept. If you can find another used engine place use them even if it costs a little more but make sure you ask fully about there warranty or you might get screwed over by them too. read more

I have had the same experience with this company as everyone that has posted here. I was sent at first a bad motor that was labeled "for parts only" and then another motor was sent that had 140,000 miles while the sales contract was for a motor with 64,000 miles. After I refused the 2nd motor they refunded part of the money but still kept $1488. This was completely on them to supply me with a motor as advertised but they miserably failed to do so. I made many calls without getting through to anyone but or no response - within an hour or so of filing a complaint with the State of Wisconsin there was a response from their lawyer who was evidently just waiting for this complaint. They seem to only exist to rip people off. If that is not bad enough they have a lawyer that is corrupt enough to defend them. The State of Wisconsin wants to be rid of them but for some reason have not been successful. Mr Howard Phillips is more than willing to assist anyone with complaints. It may also help to address this to your credit card company and see what they can do to stop honoring sales through companies like this. If they want to respond that is fine but as usual they will deny they have done anything wrong. read more

1 star because negative is not available. My story is the same as everyone. There is no way to get in contact with the tracking or warranty department. It will put you on hold for 10-15 minutes then hang up on you. The only department that will answer is the ordering departments, and when ask any other information other then ordering they would rudely transfer the call back to their other 2 department with no one answer the phone of course. I've left 3 voicemails to their tracking department and sent out 2 emails to the company and still no response. Before ordering my engine I got as promised 7-10 days to receive it, after ordering I was then told it would take 10-14 business days, it's now been 18 days. It wasn't till after I order the engine that I'm reading all these negative reviews especially about their warranty. So now every phone call I make to them I'm recording it and letting the representative know that the call is being recorded before hand. So if anything that they don't hold up their ends with the warranty you will have the recording for court. I've read a few case where people have to take this company to court. SO RECORD AND DOCUMENTS EVERYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE FAST AT TAKING YOUR MONEY BUT DONT HOLD THEIR ENDS IN DELIVERING WHAT WAS PROMISED. I will search another company for used engine and update/post here so other people will not get scammed by SW Engnes anymore. AT ALL COST STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I WILL CONTINUE TO LEAVE MY REVIEWS ON GOGGLE AND EVERYWHERE ELSE SO PEOPLE WONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH WHAT I WENT THROUGH So today (8/10/17) I got the engine and it was not what I ordered or paid for.. it has a hole on each side of the engine.
