service moms allowed me to accompany in bringing her car to…read morethe shop for an oil change, which she said came with a free vacuuming, and which also involved a filter replacement. i'm not particularly knowledgeable about the latter service, but her filter looked about a 3 out of 5 to me, so not unreasonable but if it were me deciding to change, i'd have been looking at that jawn, scratching chin, talm bout ehh lmao. nonetheless, so says the boy without a car. quality the car was looking and sounding in good condition, through the route home, including two stops not far out of the way. also, as i mentioned to the worker at the front desk, who really be living on the clock, the waiting room area at the car service shop is at the top among that category. other favorites, such as st. francis pediatrics and the harvard location of family & children services, are certainly up there with regard to the magazine and toy selection, respectively, but a popcorn stand, coffee machine, soda fridge, and water cooler really be so tough to match, especially when the coloring sheet kiddie table stands in the middle of the room. and not to drag out the section, though the customer service, from both the worker summarizing services and receiving payment at the front desk as well as the worker who showed us the car oil level on a dipstick, was excellent and definitely merits acknowledgement. value the value was respectable, though from what i understand momma to have suggested when i'd asked while in route home if someone with the shop had vacuumed the car, she really expected such a service for the $130 cost. however, considering the collective services of a oil change, which i recall from previous personal visits to the shop as receiving considerate attention to quality; the filter change, which i'd conjecture is integral to providing comfort for drivers and passengers alike that the visible and audible features of the car align with the functionality of its engine; and the food & beverage offerings, of which momma copped a root beer and your boy indulged in a bag of popcorn with solid proportions of butter and salt; are collectively well worth that price. oh and every wednesday is for the ladies at the jiffy lube, $7 off your oil change if i remember right, that be where us guys putting the money we save on shaving in november, so ladies please pullup.

After returning home and my truck sitting for a few hours, I noticed a fairly large pool of oil on…read morethe garage floor. I crawled under the truck and found that the plug was only hand tight. I got a wrench and tightened it down and cleaned up the oil. There was also oil that had sprayed around the filter canister that was not cleaned up very well. It appeared what was on the floor was a combination of both. To make sure I had enough oil, I checked the dipstick. I was very surprised to see it was about 30% above the dot. It was also noticeably darker than what clean oil is. To confirm this, I cleaned the dipstick and dipped it into a quart of new oil. What was in the vehicle was clearly darker than new oil. This would make sense as the required 8 quartz would have been near the top. Anything above that would've been most likely old oil. I called the Jiffy Lube and the manager asked me to bring it in. I drove an additional 20 miles only to have the manager tell me that one the guys didn't do a good job of cleaning up around the filter. He also felt the oil was fine, including that it being above the designated dot was not an issue. His analysis included looking at the photograph that I took. I measured it after it had set for about four hours. He was looking at it after it set for about two minutes. Needless to say all the oil wasn't down in the crank case at that point. Driving a vehicle with the oil above the manufacturers recommended amount by multiple industry sources is ill advised. It builds up too much pressure in the crank case. This can cause problems in the engine. I realized that he was either just lying to get me out of there or didn't know what he was talking about. I was shocked by all this. I let him know he had an opportunity to do the right thing by the customer and simply change the oil out and send me on my way. Ideally, with the discount for the next oil change to compensate me for my time and money to drive there. I would've been fine with that solution. Instead, after 20 years of going to Jiffy Lube I will never return. Amazing how simple it is to make someone happy. By saving the cost of 8 quarts of oil, they lost a customer for life.

Dishonest Pricing and Upsell Tactics - Beware the Fine Print…read more I went to Take 5 with a 50% off coupon, expecting a decent deal. That changed quickly. First red flag: the guy who greeted me seemed to know nothing about pricing. I showed him the coupon -- 50% off an oil change -- and he shrugged. Turns out, the discount only applies to their so-called "Economy Oil Change," which is $60. But for some unexplained reason, my Ford didn't qualify. I was told I needed the "Premium" oil change -- no clear reason why, just that's what their system said. Then it got worse. Because my truck has high mileage, they tacked on another $2 -- not for different oil, but just because. I asked if anything actually changed about the oil or service. "Nope." I stopped them before they started and said, "I want to know the exact price before you do anything." That seemed to surprise them. The number they gave me? Close to $100. The math didn't add up. Supposedly 50% off a $60 service (that I couldn't get), plus $2 for mileage, then $30 for 2 extra quarts of oil -- all for a basic oil change on a truck that runs just fine. Bottom line: the coupon is borderline deceptive, the pricing is a moving target, and the staff didn't offer a clear explanation at any point. I left without getting the service. Won't be back.

Want to know why? There was NO COOLANT in my car! No leaks present either, so they LIED about topping off my fluids. DO NOT get your oil changed here! Yesterday was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE!! I drove by this location at 12:45pm ish and the lines were long. I decided I would wait a while and go back. When I go back, I sat in my car for 7-10 minutes before anyone came to greet me and see why I needed. I also guess the higher prices mean they are not offering complimentary waters anymore since ole dude came empty handed. While waiting for someone in that 7-10 minutes, I called the corporate number to lodge a complaint about my wait time. When the worker did finally come over, I asked how long will it take and he said that the middle lane was finishing up, they had a top off in that lane next, and then I'm next up. Lane one was doing an oil change and have another car waiting for an oil change as well. When I pulled up and into to the center lane, I noticed that lane one was being occupied by an EMPLOYEE'S PERSONAL vehicle during business hours. So their employees get paid to work on their own cars, during business hours, while their customers have to wait in line. Sounds fair, right? While my car was being serviced, the managers phone rang, and you could tell that he was being questioned about the cars that are currently being serviced. Then he started looking at me and my car. More than once he would look over at me and make a stank face. He disappeared into an office door and when he returned, it was like he was working in lightning speed now. Kade, the dude who was my technician, was more than bothered to be working on a Thursday afternoon. He was RUUUDE. I had to ask him to repeat himself every time he spoke to me. Finally I just said "You're just mumbling at me. Can you speak to me clearly so that I can understand the words that are coming out of your mouth?" He finally spoke up loudly enough for me to hear over the shop music playing. He said "I hope you rate us all 10's today when you get your review." and I just laughed. I also noticed that I had to wait for Kade to finish working on his own personal vehicle before coming to work on mine. They hand you a checklist of things they've completed during your services. They check off things that they do not do. Windows cleaned, nope. Sure not. But they sure made sure to say yes they did. I paid $128.00 for this LESS than superior service.
