Amazing wine.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Yucaipa's hidden secret. Talk about some amazing wine! They have different wines throughout the year. You can truly taste Craig's and Devin's love for wine in every bottle you taste/drink. The service is over the top amazing. Devin and Shawn are the folks running the tasting room. Wether your know wine or not they will show you the way. They're so knowledgeable and willing to teach. They have amazing tastings. Solid explanations, my wife learned here she did not like tanen forward wines, who would have known?! Follow their social media, they have different theme nights and events. It's a riot and so much fun! If you're looking for amazing wine, amazing atmosphere, and a great time, look no further. You will always meet amazing people here.

This was a gem of a find for us. Somehow, my wife started receiving email information from Suveg Cellars about a year ago and we were finally able to stop by to do some tasting. Winemaker and Owner, Craig Suveg, provides an amazingly detailed explanation of his wines current, past, and upcoming releases. WINES: All of Craig's wines have playful names, like "Pardon My French", "Meet Your Maker", "Problem Child", "Straight Jacket", etc., and there's a story that goes along with each one. Currently, they offer two whites, a Pinot Grigio and a Viognier. Both are crisp and tasty, but we're not big white wine drinkers. On the other hand, Craig's red wines; Barbera, Nero D'Avola, Sangiovese, Super Tuscan, Primitivo, and Petit Verdot, are absolutely fantastic. The 2017 Super Tuscan "Strait-Jacket" was just released two weeks ago and is a must try. We loved all Suveg's reds, so much in fact, that we became wine club members. SERVICE: We've had the fortune of having Craig assist us on our visits, and he's been very accommodating and pleasant company. Unfortunately, the large indoor tasting room is currently closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, however they have a nice little patio in front and it's even been expanded to a couple more high-top bar tables with umbrellas for some shade. They do offer some small-bite food items, but again they're not currently available. Inside, there's one restroom, which is spacious and decorated in various wine motif. In the back of the building, you'll find a barrel room with stacks of their delicious grape juices just waiting to be bottled and enjoyed. As I state about all wineries I visit, the wines are subjective to your personal taste, but service is not. We love Suveg's wines and I highly encourage you to give them a try. At the very least, you'll enjoy a nice afternoon sipping wines in the quaint, historic downtown of Yucaipa.

A true pleasure stopping in after a movie in Redlands. Devon made us feel welcome and worked the room with his knowledge and charismatic presence. Pleased to be members at such a pleasant and always exceptionally delicious winery.

Simply the best! We have not tasted a bottle that we did not like. You can tell by the quality and taste that many hours went into each bottle. The service and atmosphere are excellent, as is the entertainment that they bring in regularly. Thank you Suveg Cellars for opening your winery in Yucaipa!!

Delicious!

Support your local winery! Suveg Cellars is a multi-award winning winery, with a great array of selections for every palette. The team behind the bar is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They answered all my questions with a smile, and were happy to educate me on the grapes and process. If you are ever in the downtown Yucaipa area do yourself a favor and stop in to enjoy a glass and buy a bottle of Suveg Cellars wine!

This place is awesome to visit and a breath of fresh air. I typically go to Temecula with my wife but it can become very crowded. Suveg was the perfect quaint winery. The wines were awesome and the service was more than superb. Looking forward to going back and learning more about this exceptionally fine establishment.

Tasty and filling cheese/fruit/cracker platter that goes perfectly with their wine pours!!

Pretty view of the hills, trees, hummingbirds and butterflies around. It's lovely. The best part of this place is the ambiance, the beautiful views and spacious outside can't be beat. Unfortunately, if it's a rainy weekend, this place will be closed because because all of the seating is pretty much outside. But when it's nice outside, and in SoCal, it's usually nice outside, this place is wonderful. I was really happy watching all the butterflies flitting about. Service is also really nice. Just go up to the bar and put in your order, they'll get to it asap. There's water around for you to grab if you're thirsty. But if you want more drinks, just go back up to the bar. My friend actually got sick on my last visit here (not alcohol related - health issues) and the bartender was so nice to us and understanding - we paid up and left right away when it happened. Def made me feel welcome to come back again. It was something not in anyone's control, and she knew that and understood it, and was really amazing. The minus star I give is honestly because the wine is a bit meh (I got a bottle of the sparkling wine). One, it's just not the best taste wise even when you add some orange juice, but the biggest thing is it's always warm when they hand it to you. I would raise it this star if they just served it actually cold - doesn't need to be the best wine, just cold would be nice. I might bring some ice in a pack with me next time actually lol. If it was cold, I think it would be way better. I haven't tried the pizza place here, but it's on my list for the next time I come up here. Overall, loved the ambiance and service. And that will always make me come back.

They've gotten to know us, and our tastes and they always make great recommendations, as well as setting up some very interesting tastings. And, for the non-wine drinker, they've also got a selection of craft beers and ciders. WINES: Ben's shop carries a great selection of wines, focusing on small batch producers, "unique" varietals, organic wines, natural wines, biodynamic wines, certified carbon neutral wines, and local wines. You can do a tasting or purchase a glass or bottle to enjoy onsite. There's a tasting bar up front, as well as bar top tables inside, and a spacious patio outside. I feel that bottle prices are very reasonable, and we usually end up leaving with 5 or 6 bottles based on our tastings and Ben's recommendations. There's on street parking in the front, as well as a small parking lot in the rear. I highly recommend you stop in and give them a try when in the area. Right before my wedding to my beautiful amazing bride, we had trouble finding enough of a specific Champagne for our wedding reception. Finally, I got in touch with them about 1 week before. We were told that they had 10 in stock and should be able to order the remaining amount before the wedding day. As the week came to an end, their shipment still had not arrived. Now here's where it gets great!!!! Hector the Store Manager took it upon himself the day before the wedding to drive all across the IE to the 3 nearest stores (which are as far as Riverside and Rancho Cucamonga) to find 10 more bottles and have them there for pick up the same day. Additionally, everything was kept in cold storage while waiting for me to arrive. There icing on the cake.... there was a major discount applied, so half of the bottles were only 5 cents each. Cee Vee's Liquor & Deli - They have a really good selection of craft beer in their new Beer Cave!!

Cee Vee's Liquor & Deli

(9 reviews)

Cee Vee's Liquor and Deli is a place I really wanted to like. It's been around for at least 3…read moredecades and I had never been inside until the other week when my brother was getting a haircut at "Gentlemen's". I had some free time and decided to finally pop in for a visit. But first, a little history. Once upon a time, Cee Vee's used to be called "Couch Potato Video Store". That's right, it's a mom-and-pop video store back in the days of The Warehouse and Blockbuster. Ya'll remember VHS and DVDs, right? Just as Redbox and Netflix became a nationwide sensation, such local stores began to decline. The owners of this shop must have seen the writing on the wall, as their signage began to change around the mid to late 90's. They branched out to become a liquor store and a deli, eventually phasing out the video store entirely and solely to the convenience store route. In 2005, a tragedy occurred where the store owner and a young clerk were gunned down in a robbery. It rocked the local community, as the two were very well-known and popular. The store since has new owners, but the specter of this remains. Cee Vee is located on Palm Ave., in the same plaza as Jenny's Diner, I Love Sushi, Ramenkoko, and The Green Frog. The plaza itself has quite a few food places that came into being long after Cee Vee's was there. The problem with the plaza itself is that more "unsavory" types tend to hang out at night. Sometimes homeless, sometimes spill-over partiers from The Green Frog. So visiting the spot at night is a tad dicey. So now for my visit itself. The inside is actually quite big for a Liquor Store, and their selection of goods is better than I'd expect. Their soda selection was surprisingly impressive and they even had some hard-to-find Japanese Selections like Ramune. The outside signage mentioned Craft Beer; so of course I was intrigued. At first, their beer selection seemed fairly basic, but then I found their "Beer Cave" against the far wall, and decided to peruse their selection. Sooooo.... yea.. Their "Beer Cave" turned out to be a large walk-in cooler with shelves of beer. I was a little confused, though, as none of their "Craft Beers" were any I had ever heard of or were familiar with. And there were NO local Craft Beers at all. No Hangar 24, no Ritual, and not even anything from Stone. This was puzzling. I finally found a couple of selections I was somewhat familiar with and checked out their offerings when I noticed something peculiar....they were all past their expiration dates. One was even 6 months past its date. Needless to say, this was concerning. A quick look on Yelp revealed many others reporting the same thing. That made me remember something. I noticed that the temperature inside the Beer Cave was *very* cold; almost uncomfortably so! What i suspect is going on is the owners aren't on the ball enough to rotate out/change their inventory and are trying to keep what they have colder in an attempt to keep it "fresher" longer since it doesn't seem to be selling well. Either that, or nobody's buying these off-brand craft beers and they are trying to extend the shelf-life of their inventory hoping it will sell. Either way, it seems rather shady. This place really has a lot of potential, and one of the owners I talked to seemed really proud of their Beer Cave. But I really think it needs some work. They need to feature quality offerings from local places and beyond that people have heard of, and they really need to rotate out their expired inventory before they get sued. If much of their beer selection is expired then it makes me wonder if they let the dates on their food and soda selection lapse too. If you're visiting here, keep an eye out and if you see this going on, try to have a polite conversation with the manager or owner about this. If they are open to feedback, then this place could really rise up and become great. Otherwise, they will continue to remain at 2 stars. Food for thought! And not expired food either! Final Note - I don't really see it as a "Deli", despite the name. I didn't see any deli located inside. Maybe a vestige of one of its previous incarnations.
