The castle itself is historic with some insanely horrific history to it. I'm not going to say much more it's a great experience. The castle does all different types of events throughout the year, they're most popular is the haunt during Halloween season or throughout October. I went one year it was pretty amazing. My family has gone a few times and loved it. Look forward to this year!! Get your tickets quick because it sells out fast.

Came here for the haunted house event about a week ago and I'm not sure if I would come back again…read more Tickets were $35 each (purchased online) and you have to park and walk about 10-15 minutes to the castle or you can take the little van that drives you there which also takes the same amount of time. We took the van to the castle but they don't drop you off directly in front of the castle so you still have to walk down through security and then to the castle. Porte potty's are available right before security and once you walk up the hill to wait in line to enter the castle. There were a couple food trucks when we went, we were expecting a few based on what was said online but not sure if it depends on the time. We waited over an hour in line to enter the haunted house and if you do really believe in ghosts this place is pretty haunted. The event itself wasn't scary, the actors aren't able to touch you but there's obviously loud screaming and they may be a bit too close for comfort to get a reaction out of you. You do have to climb up and down quite a few stairs and then there's a second part lead outside and back in the castle (barely any lighting and it's a dirt road so you have to carefully walk). Many strobing lights as well so do avoid if you are triggered by that. The energy throughout the castle was not pleasant or welcoming, I was very excited for it to be over as the haunted house itself was not very good and I was mostly tired from all the walking. There's a merch truck outside at the end of the castle as well. We also decided to walk back instead of waiting for the shuttle but there absolutely no lighting and many ditches with uneven flooring so you have to be very careful. Overall experience was not my favorite and I wouldn't come back again.

This theater is quite comfortable, the staff people working are all quite friendly, and the decor is very pleasant. The only area I think some improvement could be made in is the area of concessions. My ticket cost $100 plus a $7 service fee. If you want professional ballet, you have to head to SF Ballet in San Francisco. Harris Center is part of Folsom Lake College, a community college. It's a school auditorium. Rows are narrow. Seats are not that comfy or spacious. It does not compare to the beautiful performing arts theaters in downtown Sacramento or San Francisco. There were two sets of restrooms on the main floor. Not very many stalls in one women's restroom, maybe like 6. I thought this wording on the ticket and parking permit printout was confusing: "Ample parking is located adjacent to the Harris Center facility in Lot D." I guess the Harris Center is located in Lot D because there is definitely not enough parking in Lot D alone. We and many others ended up parking in the much larger nearby Lot C. Passes purchased through campus kiosks are $2. On the map, I saw three Daily Parking Permit kiosks located on College Parkway, the loop around campus. Passes purchased online or through the box office are $3, incurring a $1 administrative fee. If you order online, remember print your parking permit to display on your dashboard. It's good that parking is easy and inexpensive.

I was also so excited to see how many good gluten free options there were...and they actually tasted good! This is one of my favorite courses of all time. The course is beautiful year-round, especially late…read moreSpring and early Fall. The course is laid outdifferent from most courses. The front is a par 38 and the back is a par 32. Par 32, piece of cake, right? Wrong. The back is demanding and extremely narrow. You have to play smart, hit your shots, and leave your shots to green in the right place. The pro shop is rocked well enough and both Bob and Chris are excellent. The practice areas here are enough to get you ready for your round, or allow you to work on your game. The driving range is rough, but it works. There is an outside deli window that is open for most of the year that you can grab stuff at the turn at, and the bar has dogs and chips when the deli is closed. The restaurant has huge glass windows that let you lookout onto the course at dinner and the food has always been excellent. Everyone I have ever met here has been kind, personable, and easy-going. It's not a stuffy club. Come in the summer and watch kids cannon ball off the diving board. It's a great place to golf, a great place to just be, and it's definitely one of my happy places.
