    Come From Away Oct 2024

The 2024-2025 Broadway Series at Harris Center was hard to resist! I purchased a [first-time for me] season subscription, with prices as low as $55 per show. Subscription Pricing Tiers: Premium Tier $590 Tier 1 $477 Tier 2 $424 Tier 3 $330 You can choose from either Opening Night performances or First Matinee. The line-up this season are: Come From Away (Oct 22-27), Hadestown (Dec 12-15), Dear Evan Hansen (Jan 28-Feb 2), Annie (Feb 14-16), Menopause The Musical 2 (Feb 20-23), and Pretty Woman (Mar 7-9). Print tickets at home, and parking passes to display on your dashboard. Take the East Bidwell exit off of Highway 50. Parking is included, otherwise, daily passes are $2. Ushers were kind, making sure we remembered to display the parking passes before we entered the venue. Stairs or elevators to get to the upper level, concessions, merchandise for the touring production for sale, abundant and clean restrooms, coat check, and a step-and-repeat photo backdrop opportunity for the show. The season schedule is spread out enough, without too many conflicts with other local series such as Broadway Sacramento. Note that this Broadway Series is not to be confused with the El Dorado Musical Theatre 2024-2025 Season (Youth musical theater), which has Seussical the Musical, Holiday Celebration, Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde, Best of Broadway, and Willy Wonka. Harris Center also has other acts that come through, recently Nick Carter (of the Backstreet Boys), upcoming Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Tributes to Earth, Wind & Fire plus Kool and the Gang, Shawn Colvin & KT Tunstall, songs of The Eagles, Pops Chorale, The Nutcracker ballet, symphony, Jose Feliciano, A John Denver Christmas, Motown Mania, Chamber Music, Shen Yun, Led Zepplin experience, Texas Tenors, Linda Ronstadt tribute, music of Aretha Franklin, etc.

We love coming to the Harris Center to listen to the Folsom Piano Academy recitals. The venue is amazing with the stage, Steinway grand piano, and acoustics. It's a great opportunity for children and teens to learn stagecraft and how to perform in front of a large audience.

This was an AWESOME show at Folsom Harris Center Three Stages! They played most of the Dark Side of the Moon for the first set, plus an assortment from both Wish You Were Here, and The Wall for the second set. They had two levels of lasers. We had balcony seats so we could see multicolor multipatterned lasers aimed at the balcony wall below us AND another set of multicolor multipatterned lasers aimed up at the back wall above us. The show was 30 minutes then a 20 minute intermission then another 30 minute set. Awesome music and laser experience! I got tickets through the Events Tickets franchise. In the future, for this ticket franchise, I would suggest they either include Folsom Lake College parking passes in the price, or add a link to purchase them. We knew that we needed a parking pass since we had attended concerts there before. Thus, we searched the Harris Center website for parking passes. On site, you can buy an all day parking pass for $2. Online they cost $3 for all day. You MUST buy a parking pass or you do risk a fine and ticket from the Folsom Lake College Police. We saw a couple return to their car because they did not have a parking pass.

I just took my 90 year old wheelchair bound mother to see Tina; it was amazing! Seeing it at the Harris Center made it extra special. The House Management went above and beyond to help ensure my mother got seated safely. I can't say enough about the door to seat service., Shout out to Joe, Johnny, Margo and everyone who helped me put a smile on her face. They' are simply the best!

I had the fortune to attend a holiday performance of the River Bells handbell ensemble at the Harris Center. This was my first time visiting the new and impressive performing arts center at Folsom Lake College. The facility is located in the back of the campus following a long drive from Bidwell. Parking is generous, but you may need to walk and pay a fee. I do recommend dropping off those with mobility challenges at the entrance. The facility has multiple theatres optimized for small to large performances. On this visit, we were in a smaller theatre in the back which was reminiscent of a lecture hall in college, but with a much more interesting subject. Unfortunately, seats have not grown much even though most patrons have. It can get very tight for larger and taller people. I recommend the first row as you have much more legroom. The sound and lighting were good with no noticeable issues. Harris Center was designed for large performances with the central lobby having multiple restrooms with lots of space. There is also a small bar selling drinks and other items, plus a free coat check which is nice. The lobby is also very attractive with a high ceiling and lots of light. It is nice and understandable that Folsom is becoming the star of Sacramento County. It may soon surpass downtown Sacramento with a nicer old town, and more amenities. I don't think that any major shows will skip G1C or SAFE anytime soon, but the Harris Center allows east county folks an opportunity to get dressed up for a performance.

This place is spectacular..Do you like live music or plays up close and personal this is your place..They have pleyof parking the tickets are reasonable for something of this..They have elevators if you can't use the stairs also the bathrooms are well kept and it's close to so many food choices..I went here for a Christmas acrobatic musical play..It was over the top amazing with the stunts these performers did as well as great vocals on singing Christmas cheer and a story line as well..You must go see this all ages and so so much fun..If you need some cheer get out and see a live performance..If it's a play comedy or live music see it all in Folsom..fun fun

Ask the Community - Harris Center/Three Stages

Do they sell food in that place?

They do, but it's more like Hotdog, small bag of Frito Chips, bottled water, some sodas, and cookies. Nothing too crazy. And they're pricy for what it's worth. Last time when I went to Nick Carter's concert. Free water at the fountains though if you… Read more

Everyone is dressed up in character which really helps make you feel immersed. There are loads of actors and performers all around the place, and tons and tons of shopping to be done. We saw the archery show which was....ok. It was cool to see them competing with each other, but it was literally impossible to tell which arrow belonged to who. My suggestion would be to attack a big colorful string or change the color of the arrows to match each contestant. We were left confused as to who was winning the entire time because of it. Nobody was mic'd either so it really was silent in terms of the arena. Next we saw the jousting show which was really fun. Tons of theatrics, horses, fighting, and crowd work! That was a good time. Then we went to walk around and catch some of the smaller shows. The majority of this Faire was just vendors selling things. I love events like the Oddities and Curiosities Expo which bring in tons of vendors showing off stuff I literally have never seen before, and I have a huge impulsive feeling to buy. I didn't get that once at this faire. Sure there was some cool stuff but it really wasn't anything that I felt like I needed to buy. Some soaps, crystals, swords, books, and disgustingly a stall selling AI artwork. Some vendors really did have some cool stuff like handmade clothing that was too far out of my budget, but I would love if I were rich. Lines were insanely long so we didn't eat or drink anything here, but it looked ok in terms of food. I just wish there were some unique vendors here or other things to do like games and events that you can partake in. Overall it's not a place you're going to spend the entire day at, but it's fun to kill a couple of hours in costume. We'll most likely be back next year, I just wish it was a bit more "wow" like others I've seen.

This theater is located in a 30,000 square foot warehouse type building, which has to be so great for the kids and adults who partake in their productions-everything felt so roomy and comfortable-Parking at this location is a breeze, they have their own parking lot so that's a plus. When you arrive on show night after being greeted by the nicest friendliest people at the door checking your tickets, you walk into a snack bar area where they are serving various snacks and drinks where u can get pick up anything from a bag of chips, candy or even an adult beverage-very convenient for those like me who skipped dinner before the show. When you walk into the theater-it is a tad bit cold but they have thought of everything here-the very friendly workers/ushers in the theater offer their patrons blankets they can have at their seats while watching the show, which I felt was so thoughtful. As far as seating goes, they have 3 sections, the center and 2 sides,on this particular night I had tickets on the side but as I learned there really isn't a bad seat in the house,it's designed in such a way that the stage is right on top of you no matter where u sit-so no worries if u don't get 1st few rows center for the show. The production itself is so well written and so well performed by such a talented group of performers-I can tell that this theater truly does put so much time and effort into preparing the performers for show nights that I guarantee you will have an incredible time watching a show out at this really great family friendly theater. In closing-if you ever find yourself out in the El Dorado Hills area and you want to support local theater, which is such an important part of our community,I would fully recommend getting yourself out to El Dorado Musical Theater and catching a show-they are doing really great things out there. PS-Though my daughter is an adult-this theater group has a vast youth program for young performers to partake in musical theater-if your child has ever expressed an interest in performing-get them out there, performing does wonders for building character in our children.
