After asking around, most suggested we try the Kobee steakhouse...we're glad we did. The restaurant has 30+ tables and has hreat street views across the entire dining area. The menu, has several steak options, that can be combined with other proteins. We opted for the ribeye and chicken, and filet and prawns. My Sapporo beer arrived, which was cold and always tasty...then our food arrived. The steaks were grilled perfectly, with very little fat on the ribeye, and the filet had great flavor. Adding the fried rice and hint of teriyaki, this meal was the capper, to a great week of golfing and exploring in Scotland. When you enter the restaurant, the decor definitely is the first thing you notice. Very traditional Japanese decor all around. The only reason I couldn't rate it any higher is because the food tastes like "a normal" spot I've had before. The Katsu was cooked perfectly but the curry just seemed only a little above average. The Tonkotsu Ramen also didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping. I'm not trying to say any of the food is bad. Not even saying it's mid. It's just the flavors really didn't do anything to blow the socks off my taste buds and that's my fault. I'm spoiled because I live in the Bay Area of California where I have an abundance of Japanese restaurants to choose from.
