However, this place had exceptional selection (almost too much) and of the 8 people in our group, we ordered at least 16 dishes. I sampled at least half I was impressed that everything was artfully presented and flavors and quality ingredients were through out all. Hot and sour soup stood out. Curry chicken excellent. Szechuan pork - hot. Really hot. Which was good to find in Scotland. Would not hesitate to go back.

They don't really deserve 4 stars... more like 3.5 stars but their Chinese food is some of the best you'll probably find in St. Andrews (though that's not really saying much) and they have a pretty large selection so that is really nice.... BUT they have a couple strikes against them in my book which are just unforgivable: 1. The don't offer chow fun on the menu (just chow mien dishes), 2. They offer European dishes/Chips (common people if your going to go to a Chinese restaurant don't order European dishes...or your an idiot), 3. They offer no other form of seafood besides Prawns and Squid (except for like one appetiser that has mussels in it).... Like most Asian restaurants in St. Andrews they seem to be unsure of their focus, dabbling in Korean, a bit of Hong Kong and Singaporean cuisines.... All in all the closest I will get to real Chinese food sans flying back to San Francisco or China for that matter but just not the same... Oh well.... *If you going to dine out stay away from the Salt & Pepper Squid because whenever I dine out it always comes home soggy after sitting in the container for so long, * Also my friends really liked the crispy chicken in Lemon sauce but I thought it was just too sweet. *I like the Sai Nyau Soup, Salt and Pepper Prawns, Roast Duck and Singapore Chow Mein

The clue to what they offer really is in the name. I have never been there to order a mean I have only ever taken advantage of the buffet; I think most people that were there were doing the same thing. It is very much like other Chinese buffets, they offer a range of soups along with every other Chinese main course you can think of. I love Chinese food, last time I was here I went up 3 times, its great value for money and think it's a great idea, it's really east to find, very central just near the harbour. It's not as large as most Chinese restaurants but you don't seem to have an issue getting started. The staff are very quick to sit you and very happy to help. The facilities are very clean and everything is run so professional.

At lunch time you can usually expect around eight different main dishes to choose from. I like the char sui pork in honey and the Cantonese style sweet and sour chicken. There are rice and noodles and a small salad bar that's usually pretty unappetizing. I go at lunchtime and spend less than £10 per person and don't need to eat for the rest of the day.
