No major complaints. The miso was a little underwhelming but it's complimentary. Everything else was delicious!

One word Amazing. From having traditional sake cups and options to REAL traditional nigiri sushi this place is a true gem. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating! Service was prompt and did not rush you. The music is traditional and relaxing as well!

Excellent and really enjoy eating here. The fish is always fresh and place does not smell of fish which is a great sign . I don't know why we don't eat here more often. The best sushi place around noblesville for sure. Staff is always helpful, polite and attentive. Will be back for sure

$35 worth of sushi, smallest rolls I've ever seen!! It was 45min before they're posted lunch closing but she didn't want to seat me. So I said I would take it to go. Specialty roll is supposed to come with miso, but if you take it to go it's $3.50. I pointed out that I wanted to eat in, didn't matter. She still wanted me to pay the $3.50. The sushi itself was fine, nothing special.

We were looking for sushi for lunch. The pork egg roll was the best we've ever had. Which is why no photo. Sorry we are too fast. The vampire roll also not photographed was excellent.

We tried this place right after we moved to noblesville several years ago, literally desperate to find good Asian food/sushi (my wife is Korean). Thankfully, we hit gold! We've become such fans that we even befriended the family that owns the place. So rather than writing a biased review, I'll just let that speak for itself. Sushi is the specialty at Sushiyama, so don't go solely for the kitchen food. It isn't too bad, but unless you go on Friday or Saturday (when they have an extra helping hand), it will detract from the service speed a little. The sushi is unique in three ways, in my opinion... it is WAY fresh... the nigiri is sliced thick and hearty, and the chef has his own sauces that are definitely more flavorful (and some items spicy) than typical sushi places in the area. I think that can be attributed to the owners' Korean origins. If you want some sushi that's flavorful and skillfully made, give this place a shot. But as stated in other reviews... this is a family-run small business, so if you come during the week at crunch times, you may need to be a little patient with the service.

    My fav!! Volcano roll!!

I'm from California, and am used to fancy shmancy sushi rolls. I was relocated to this area by my company and was looking really hard for some good sushi. After trying many many sushi restaurants, i've found the best rolls in Noblesville - no, I would say in the area including Indianapolis. I've tried majority of their rolls and sushi, and couple of their best rolls include: volcano roll(salmon heaven on your tongue, my ultimate fav), fire roll(if you like a small fire show at your table and the toasty aroma, this is your roll), ladybug roll(the scallion makes this roll so yummy), vampire roll(if you are a texture person and loves crunchy texture, this one is yours). Writing this review makes my mouth water. Yummmmm.

Red Volcano Roll! Tempura crab meat and cream cheese. Topped with crab stick, spicy tuna & jalapeños! Very good And only $11.99!

The reviews were very helpful. They're right about it being a hidden Jem! Very mellow and relaxing atmosphere inside. Super friendly staff. Welcome you, and everyone thanks you as you leave. It was super clean and the wait times were less than expected. I watched the sushi chef hand craft my rolls, it was an art! I had the Red Volcano Roll, it was great! The Dinner Roll Combo A is also delicious and such a great deal! Prices were lower than I expected and portions were more- I'd say that's a win! Lots of chef specialty rolls, more than most sushi places! Prices were between $8-13 per roll, again less but you get more! I'll be back!

Wonderful fresh sushi! Some of the best I've had. Service was awesome, Aiden was very polite and took care of us well! Highly recommend!

We were actually the only customers in the restaurant around 6:30 on a Monday evening. Our server was very kind and let us know we could reach out for any questions. We decided on chicken karage for an appetizer and then I ordered the tonkotsu shoyu ramen. I was so impressed with the flavors of both the chicken and the ramen. The karage had a great crunch and was a pretty hearty size for an appetizer. The ramen was perfect! It was seasoned well and we even added spice on the side to add to the dish. The ingredients were very fresh and felt like the meal was made with care. We aren't usually in Noblesville but it was definitely worth the trip. I will definitely be back!

When we arrived for our midafternoon reservation, we appeared to be the only customers in the restaurant. Others arrived after we were seated and were seated at the regular tables. A group of three were seated at a hibachi table. There seemed to be confusion about which hibachi table we were supposed to be seated, and the hostess asked if our entire group was going to be there. We assured her that everyone was there and in fact walking in the door at that moment. We were seated around two hibachi grills that were side-by-side, so all 16 of us were sitting together in a big square around the two grills. We sat with 8 men on one side and 8 women on the other. A few of us order vegetable hibachi, others ordered chicken hibachi, and a few ordered steak. The server seemed put out with us as soon as he started taking orders. He explained that it would be easier if we rearranged our seating and said that his order pad was like a map, and he even showed us that there were 16 squares around the tables and he would have to write on each square if we had different orders. We didn't want to change our seating arrangement, and he seemed visibly annoyed with us. Service was fairly slow, and when the server started bringing our soup we didn't have silverware or napkins. We had to ask for silverware and he seemed surprised that we were asking. The hibachi chefs were great! Definitely the best part of our experience. They were cheerful and engaged well with everyone. They put on an entertaining show. As for the food, I would say that it was just ok. The fried rice lacked flavor and was fairly greasy. The noodles too, had absorbed quite a bit of oil. The vegetables were good but servings were a little skimpy, especially considering that the rice was just plain rice without any added onions, garlic, peas, carrots, or other things that are usually added to fried rice. More vegetables on the grill would have been appreciated. The chef had grilled a large mound of rice and large mound of noodles but much smaller amount of vegetables. The chicken and steak were good. A few in our group also ordered sushi and they enjoyed it. The restaurant was very attractive, with nice decor. The hibachi chefs - a definite five stars Our server - two stars Food - three and a half stars
