The sushi rolls are not tiny like you see at some sushi restaurants and all of the hibachi meals that I have ever gotten here have been more than enough for myself and I usually end up taking some home.

It's definitely more of a fun and tropical American style roll but delicious! We also got the Kiyomi fried rice. It has a lot of vegetables which was nice. I loved the zucchini and squash. It tasted like really good hibachi. The shrimp had great flavor too and the chicken was tender. My husband had two tuna sushi (nigiri) and thought it was decent. We can't remember the name of the role my husband got, but it had spicy tuna on top. He enjoyed it. We both could only eat about half of our rolls because they were so giant. This is the best restaurant in Syracuse I'd say and I was very pleasantly surprised. I wish I took a picture before eating most of the fried rice but I honestly wasn't expecting everything to be so good!

As we walked in I noticed how absolutely beautiful the dining room was. Beautiful ambiance. We got two appetizers- crab Rangoon and an eel cucumber roll. Both were fantastic. I can't remember the last time I had such a good crab Rangoon. Filled with cheese, and crab! The eel roll was six pieces and was really tasty too. Both of us ordered a bento box so that we could taste more of the items. They were around $16 and up for them. They come with either salad- imagine the best ginger carrot dressing. or a soup with lots of flavor. Got to taste both. I had the shrimp tempura bento box- which came with huge shrimp, sweet potato, zucchini and onion rings. They were fantastic. I LOVED the batter. Thin and crispy. Also came with fried rice, a six piece roll of California roll, a spring roll and a few of the goyza with pork. My husband got a beef and shrimp bento box. It was in a delicious sauce and was seasoned nicely. I should have gotten one of the drinks- they have all different kinds of teas, bubble tea with lychee and lots of other fun things. Next time. We will be returning. Our food was really good. Also our waiter was great too. It was so busy, but our food came out fairly quickly! Love this addition to Rochester!!

Cute place I guess but the worst service I've seen- possibly racism? Don't know why everyone else came after us and were served faster and better than us. Would not return.

Boathouse Restaurant (Winona Lake) - climate controlled patio dinning with relaxing lake front…read moreviews I'm always interested in dinning & relaxing at a restaurant with good lake front views. The Boathouse Restaurant in Winona Lake has good food and a nice view of...Winona Lake. You can find them about 45 minutes west (driving highway 30) of Fort Wayne near Grace College (see map). The restaurant is set right on the lake. It is also nestled by some cute shops (The Village at Winona) for pre or post dinner browsing. The Boathouse Restaurant's lake views come in a covered patio (see picture). You are right on the lake. All diners can see the water from their table. The patio is enclosed much like a four season room. You can catch the breeze off the water when the windows are open. Or you can shut the windows and pull the shades if the temperature and sun light isn't to your liking. I'm sure this would still be a great view in the cooler fall and spring seasons. The Boathouse is a large restaurant. However, I would encourage reservations via their web site. You can reserve the patio, bar or main dinning areas. The facility is nicely decorated in that boat theme. Lots of attractive hardwoods and lake colors. We found the restaurant to be very comfortable and relaxing. The menu is very large - something for everyone (see menus). Chicken, steak, pasta, salads, wraps, bowls, burgers, seafood - they have it. Prices are reasonable (steak $30+, chicken $23+, burgers $16+). We have been here a couple times. Each time the food was delicious and the service was what you would expect. Here is a run down on the items we ordered: -Table Bread: multigrain bread, served warm and soft, easily pulled apart; nice soft creamy butter accompaniment -Side Salad: simple salad, smaller in size; very fresh with a few side veggies (cucumbers, tomatoes, onion and shredded Parmesan cheese; crunchy croutons; homemade 1000 Island dressing was thick with a smooth taste -Burrito Bowl: my wife loved the fresh lettuce and peppers; chicken was nicely grilled, moist and slightly seasoned; rice was perfectly cooked with a firm consistency -Tenderloin (special menu item): outstanding! Very moist and tender, slightly thicker steak; thin batter with a slight crisp and hint of oil; grilled onions were a nice but unusual add; bun was slightly grilled, buttered and soft -Macaroni salad: mayo base that tended to be a bit heavy; nicely cooked noodles; added small pieces of celery, onion and green pepper; nice adder to the sandwich If you like lake views and relaxing dinning...make the drive to the Boathouse Restaurant. Also make sure you get there before 6p so you can enjoy the shopping village that is near the restaurant. And...take a long walk down the channel to see the big lake.

Not sure what set her off but she shouldn't have been working with customers. Two friends ordered mushroom/swiss hamburgers. Another ordered the BLT with another ordering the soup and grilled cheese. I ordered the cod sandwich with no bread. The hamburgers were good as was the BLT. The cod was like trying to chew on an old steak; dry and tough. The was a first for me on a fish product. The grilled cheese wasn't - the cheese slices were still cold with barely a char on the bread. Throughout the meal the server complained about Louie, the cook. I'm adding my complaint to hers. That was one of the worst meals I've had in a restaurant.

Another enjoyable evening dining with dear friends at West Main Kitchen, and it did not disappoint!…read moreSo warm and inviting, the owners Jerry and Jen (pictured below), welcome you as guests at their table vs. just customers. Our friends shared: "It's like they truly SEE you!" The salad: fresh, light, and delicious (not pictured...sorry!). Tonight's mains were so yummy, one hated to take the last bite! It's clear that Jerry (owner and chef) puts his heart into menu selection and preparation! Two of us selected the Mardi Gras twin airline chicken breasts, and the others chose the New Orleans BBQ colossal shrimp over basmati rice, and the Cajun seasoned hangar steak, All entrees came with a side of roasted Parmesan crusted zucchini, yellow squash, and red onion. The Mardi Gras chicken was one of the best chicken dishes we've ever had! Spicy, savory, crispy exterior with the most tender moist interior! It looks dark in the pic, but trust me, it was SO good! Our friend loved the 6 very large shrimp, lightly seasoned and served over rice. My husband had the generously portioned hangar steak, seared to perfection on the outside and wonderful, juicy, mid-rare on the inside. PLEASE NOTE: I failed to get the camera out before our dishes were half eaten, but hope that the deliciousness still shines through! We concluded with the shareable bananas foster, flambéed at the table. Just the right size to enjoy a few bites of sweet goodness at the end of our meal. West Main is a hidden delight, and if you're looking for a unique, comfortable dinner with loved one(s), make a reservation! Winter dinners are only available on Fridays and Saturdays, so plan ahead!
