Their fish is fresh, the rolls are massive compared to other sushi places, and the service is great. It's a small place, but I've never had an issue with finding a seat (you can seat yourself). The only downside is yes, there are no bathrooms for patrons. This has only been an issue once when my husband and I came for lunch and our son needed to use the restroom (we walked over to Ross). Overall this place is still 5 stars, because of their consistency and quality. read more

Was just there today. Asked for a table for one. There is a table open but apparently the lady, perhaps the owner, wanted to save it in case there is a larger group coming in. Didn't even say there was a reservation on that table already. If you want to eat there by yourself then I would not recommend this place. I just walk out. I go here mainly for pickup these days. You can order directly from them by calling and it's cheaper than anything listed online. It's reasonable pricing for these days. I've never felt like I'm getting overcharged. I've also never been disappointed in my order. I've done various rolls, desserts, noodles, and bentos. All pretty solid. It's a smaller place, but it's usually not overly busy or too loud or anything. I'd eat there, but I prefer bringing food home to eat and watch some shows. Sushi nights are usually an at-home affair for me. Overall, I'll be back. I've gone at least once or twice a year since moving to the area in a while and will definitely be going again a few times this year. read more

Food overall is great coupled with reasonable price. Sushi and the other seafood dishes were Fresh and clean-tasting. Service was below to average. We had to ask for extra napkins, and water. Our party of six ordered a dozen dishes worth over $200 on a Friday early evening. There were 3-4 servers and helpers. One of the guys appeared irritated when we needed something like fork or spoon or small plates typically required for each patron for all the sushi, rolls, tempura, edamame, salad and other items from the table. More sensitivity and customer care are needed specially if the party is larger than their typical table for only two people. It was a little busy so I can understand but there's a lot of opportunity to improve. Rolls were superb. Ramen is so-so. Still worth the visit for the first time. read more

Wanted a quick bite and stopped by this local mini Resturant. Quality of their rolls is excellent. They don't cheap out of the quantity and quality. Service was good, brought the food over less than 5mins and asked us if we needed anything else. Resturant fairly small, it's like a Togo kinda vibe. Good for parties of 4 and under. Fishy sushi is not what you look for when searching out a new sushi spot. Crispy rice with spicy tuna was awful as well. The ramen was good but I would not say that it tasted like any ramen broth I've had before. The Teriyaki chicken and beef was good, only saving grace but when your name is sushi holic, it's not what you're expecting. That and the big pieces of sushi get them two stars but it was not good at all. Also a bit pricy compared to other places nearby. read more

My first time here, I always drive by here whenever i get off of the 5 freeway near Imperial. $16.00 is not bad for the Sushi here. You get more bang for your buck. read more

Don't Eat at Sushiholic. I just went in to get a salmon skin hand roll to go at 12:30pm on 8/8/25. I stood by the cash register and watched the guy make it. As he was making it, he took some of it off the top with his left hand, eat it, and continued making my hand roll. I told the cashier guy that I want my money back and told him what happened. I asked to speak with the boss, and he said that the guy who was making it was the boss. If this was the boss who did it, it probably isn't much better with all the other employees. Now I know why they have all that stuff on top of the counter. It's so you can't see their mishandling of your food. read more

4-26-24 I haven't been to this establishment for a while. I live in Huntington Beach but came to check the La Mirada house. So definitely in the neighborhood. Still in the same place in the back by the donut shop - Ross shopping area. Small , quaint and very clean establishment. Food is still made fresh to order and lots of sushi rolls to choose from. Food came out promptly and even my to-go order was ready quickly. I ordered the sushi combo with the peppered salmon roll. The jalapeños were spicy which not a problem, but did have to limit my intake. The flavor of the roll was delicious, the sushi was fresh too. I ordered one of their sushi burritos and that was probably my favorite item. Never experienced such a great combo of flavors. The salsa that came with it was a sweet and spicy salsa and was the perfect topper for it. My daughter ordered the sesame chicken bowl and she loved it. The sauce and the breading were perfect. Everything I ordered was on point with quality, taste and portion; miso soup, Sweet Hawaiian Roll and the looks of the Mango & Avocado salad... I was so happy, that is until I started digging through the salad lettuce: I saw not one but two dark long hairs :( It really grossed me out. I didn't have the stomach to eat the rest of the salad and I didn't have the heart to post the photos of the hairs. I do hope they are using hair nets and practicing sanitary practices when washing and prepping the food.
